And if you reverse the digits 8:03 you get 308, which was the model of Ferrari that Magnum PI drove. So we should expect Scotty to start wearing Hawaiian shirts and shorts and grow a mustache real soon ;D ;D Ha ha ha.... You mean like this: Maybe it's not Scotty, but Vera?? Or Lilly??

Nice one Boxman I'm sure Lilly would look great in the shorts and shirts but I think the mustache might be a bit much I thought I might get a bit of stick for such a flippant comment, so I'm glad you saw the intended funny side. Next time I'll have to work in a Baywatch reference

Nice one BoxmanNext time I'll have to work in a Baywatch reference Okay, I'll get the "Lilly in a one-piece red bathing suit" picture ready. Will Pamela Anderson's body be okay? Lilly's not that busty. (Did I say that out loud?) ;D

Okay, I'll get the "Lilly in a one-piece red bathing suit" picture ready. I couldn't possibly ask you do that, though if you insist... I think you did Perhaps an early Erika Eleniak (pre- ) or Nicole Eggert would be more fitting.

Actually, looking at that shot I can see a Magnum PI themed CC episode. Scotty as Magnum, Vera as Rick, Jeffries as TC and Stillman as Higgins. Not sure how Lilly would fit in though. Magnum did tend to have beautiful women hanging around Actually that shot of Scotty with the mustache does bring into question his obvious playboy image....

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, and quoting multiple reviewers, among them: Boxman, TVFan, LillyKat, RichE... and just about everyone else... this episode was MY guilty pleasure. I love U2 yet continually forgot it was their solo episode because the case AND especially the excellent "team feel" of the ep dragged me in. With or Without You and Stuck in a Moment are probably in my all-time top ten, so getting them both in the same ep was a real treat. The case had a few flaws and was a little staged, but it was poignant and well brought about. The killings bugged me a little, the motives were flimsy, to say the least, and the Jibby (sp?) the HS kid could NEVER have got away in r/l with shooting her at the school in plain view of everyone. But WTF. Gotta love that Kat. Great acting by Tracie Thoms, all the way. And whoever said Lilly's facials were great, was right. I thoroughly enjoyed the implied female bonding/team bonding in this ep. Excellently done. Poor Vera. That's all I need to say. I kept looking at him in that scene, with that big goofy starry-eyed smile on his face and thinking--hell, "overweight, underpaid white guy" and all, how could ANYONE not want him? But it was good while it lasted, and Toni broke it off like a lady.

I'm side-tracking a little bit here, but Scotty with a mustache...now that's hot. Funny - he doesn't really do a thing for me, but whew~ with the mustache~ now that's a different story!

It's just weird how the network moved it to the 28th, instead of airing it on the 21st. Something else, Like LillyKat had mentioned about " With or Without you" being one of Kathryn's guilty pleasure songs coinsiding with her birthday and the same date as the murders it all now makes some logical sense.
But Kathryn did mention that if U2 was played on the show it would have to be center around Lilly ( not my words hers)
Well It was kinda of centered around her, how she acts during the whole episode. Madison's mother was in a way like Ellen.
Lilly mentiond in 4X04- Baby Blues to Molly that her mother left both her and Christina alone for days. Coinsidently Madison's mother left her alone while looking for drugs to score with.
In both Saving Patrick Bubley and this episode both mothers were drug addicts that didn't clean up their act and suffered conciquences along the way. Ellen Rush did also, Lilly breaking her jaw age ten after being sent out for alcohol at night, having little or no money to feed her children. Thus Lilly having a purple foot ( Maternal Intincts)
Madisons mother cleaned up after she died, realizing the mistakes that cost her daughters life, Ellen never realized just how much damage she caused with her habit (alcohol) and the effect it had on Lilly.
Lilly also learned to keep her inner emotions from bubbling to the surface like it did last season. She kept her guard up but this time Scotty was the one who flew off the way. I'm surpised she didn't stop him, being his friend and partner.
Getting back, friendship was also the keyword. How your whole world can crumble; but having one good friend around can help.
Madison's world was falling apart, Michael was trying to help her but she pushed him away but in the end he made it up to her by asking her to the dance. He truely did love her, the way that Skill helped them bring them back together.
Last season Lilly was having an emotional breakdown, Scotty wanted to sent things right by trying to help her ( Joseph) knowing that her whole world was also collasping. He stood by her desk while everyone else just glared at her. This season, they got closer in Tennessee finding out that they are a lot alike ( loneliness etc).. I think the trip in someways helped bring their friendship closer.
Until that scene, Lilly never realized that Scotty was feeling the same feeling she was. Now she knows that she isn't all alone in the sense of feeling lonely or by herself. That both of their lovelifes weren't strong but then only thing that had kept strong is their friendship, knowing that Scotty would be there for the bad and good times.

How about CC: Las Vegas ( just kidding) I was trying to think of another city in the style of LV. Isn't Atlantic City big for gambling. CC: AC? Or CC: Alaska, aka F*****g Freezing Case.

One more thing about what I had written above.
As for Lilly voluntering to go with Scotty, I think she does like being with him. He has a certain way with her that she likes. He understands her but doesn't question everything she does but also listens to her. I just think after that hotel scene Lilly feels a lot closer to him as friend.

It's clear they have more in common (similar ages etc.) with each other than with either Vera, Jeffries or Stillman, so it is natural they'd gravitate towards each other.

Something else, Like LillyKat had mentioned about " With or Without you" being one of Kathryn's guilty pleasure songs coinsiding with her birthday and the same date as the murders it all now makes some logical sense. Can you really see the network changing the date of a show for a reason like that? Was something special on instead? Or did some of the content of 8:03 correspond with a recent big news story? I've seen shows delayed (and replaced with a repeat) so as not to upset people if some content is a bit too close to a recent real event. I remember an episode of Tru Calling being delayed here in the UK just a day after a British football fan was stabbed at a major tournament, because it included a stabbing.

How about CC: Las Vegas ( just kidding) I was trying to think of another city in the style of LV. Isn't Atlantic City big for gambling. CC: AC? Or CC: Alaska, aka F*****g Freezing Case. Then if Cold Case branches out eastward to Atlantic City and New Jersey, and also southward to Maryland and Washington D.C., then how about CC:AC/DC?? ...Something with the number 8 is puzzling... Another peculiar thing.... ...8 = New Creation or Beginning. --There is the episode "8 Years" (another single-artist episode) --"Sanctuary" was a 199 8 case, in which Ramiro had disappeared from Philly for eight years before returning, and it was eight years since Scotty worked his first and only undercover job. --In "The River", the poker table they play on is eight-sided, and the episode had Mrs Lee--a Chinese woman--wishing Dr Bowen good luck with her pendant. (In Chinese culture, the number "8" is supposed to bring good fortune with money.) I think there was more, but I can't remember at this moment. Anyway, in "Saving Patrick Bubley", we find out that Lilly's first homicide case was in 1999. I can't remember which thread it was (perhaps in "Joseph"), but the recurrence of the number "8" and "8 years" led me to speculate that 2007 (1999+8=2007) will be a significant year for Lilly... And if you want to include addition, episode 4.04 was titled "Baby Blue" (4+04=8 and eight letters in the title). As well as "Cold Case", eight letters again....

Anything that starts with 'Beautiful Day' can't end being bad. Man, this was the best ep of the season since Rampage!!!! I dono what's happening to this show, but the last few episodes before this really suck, not even mentioning The Blackout that really hit the bottom.... I was like *this* close not to even bother watching this one but thank god there was a mention about U2 on TV.com.....
They should have more eps like this. This time it was almost impossible to figure out the end and who killed those kids. Well, the "I'm so doped, I don't wanna feel anymore, blah-blah-blah" -scene felt a bit fake at times, but otherwise it was a perfect episode. Oh and about Vera getting dumped, boo-hoo what else is new....
