Ok..I don't know about you guys but I loved this episode. Especially because it touched on Lilly and her childhood. I love character development The ending where she's sitting on the couch looking at old photos that really got to me. I was sobbing lol I can't help myself

I agree melliemel. I think this ep was very good, especially how it touched on father figures. I like how after Lilly interrogated Booker she told Kara that she's made a mistake. I think she was not just talking about thinking he was the killer but about Booker's relationship with Kara. She had judged him unfairly and she realized that. There was lots of character development with Lilly about her father and also with Stillman and how he was in Vietnam. It was so sad how Kara had to find her parents like that. I wasn't sure who the killer was until the very end. I do wish there were a few more scenes with Valens, Vera and Jeffries but overall, a sad but great ep. And I loved the ending with Lilly and her cats. I wonder what happened to her dad.

Excellent episode! Does anyone knoe the name of the band that was performing as they faded out? And the name of the song?

my friend and I are trying to figure out what may of happened to her father. It's known that she grew up without a father. But when she looked at the pics I got the impression that she didn't hate him ya know? That she loved him a lot. So we figured out maybe he died when she was little and maybe that's why her mother took to drinking...?

These episodes keep getting more interesting. My dad guessed the ending, while I kept thinking other possibilities. As for the final song, I thought it was going to be the other song from the Scorpions, "Winds of Change", but it was nice to at least guess the group right. It's a start. While these episodes are interesting and original, I couldn't help but notice new variations on old scenes. For instance, when they were interrogating the girl and found out what Atwater was up to, it just reminding of that scene from Lover's Lane when they were interviewing Carrie and she dropped the bomb on the guys about what Jabba the Hut did to her. And the final scene was a nice variation on the ending of Sherry Darilin' with some tension at the end. At was nice how the black guy figured it out. That was a piece of evidence I overlooked. Licking the boots, the dirt on her face, and the fact that they insisted on people taking off their shoes. Well, so far this season, none of the victims had it coming. For a while there last season, there were victims that brought their demise onto themselves. And finally, a killer I didn't feel sorry for. Every episode this season, I kind of felt a little bad for the killers. In the Badlands, the killer was messed up. In Factory Girls, the husband was mostly confused that his wife changed and in what I still believe was an accident, he caused her death. In Daniela, she shot herself. In the House, the killer was defending himself. Tonight's killer was an evil man, much like Mr. Freely from Fly Away. One letdown was that CBS seemed to overhype this episode to be a scary one. Once again, it was an ordinary episode. When will they learn that we like the show? Later.

I'm with you on this one, R2K, that CBS overhyped this episode. They kept saying it was a scary episode but it really wasn't. That was a big disappointment. SPOLIERS****** Well, I thought this episode was ok. I did like how we sort of got a glimpse of Lily's father, even though it was the back of his head and even his hand. The issue of a father did hit home with Lily and it was sad to see her looking at the pictures of her and her father having a good time. From the pictures we can tell that was a good period in her life (from the look on her face) and that her father was a brunette. Back to the storyline....I thought the episode was ok because I felt like something was out of place. I just didn't connect to the story as well as the others, but it wasn't all that bad. I'll have to rewatch the episode because I can't put my finger on what was wrong with the episode. Perhaps it was the fact that Kara found her mother's bracelet on Ebay. Sounds a little off to me. I will say that the guilty party on this episode was a bad man. He was one not to be liked. He belittled his wife because of her illness and they way he treated the wives of his workers by demanding sex and licking his boots. YUCK! I'll give kudos to the actress who portrayed the girl's mother because she licked the man's boots and I know I could not have done that. What was the guy getting by having his boots licked? I guess some folks are freaks. foujylos.notlong.com [/IMG] Tracylynn

I really liked this episode. In fact, it's my favorite so far this season. I thought the characters involved in the story were fascinating. I didn't see any of it coming. I had no idea the aunt was going to end up being the niece of the people whose identities Sen took to stay in America. I was shocked when Channary was spotted in the crack house. A lot of well written plot twists and turns.
I thought the character development in this episode was great. Lilly revealed some of her flaws. She instantly judged the relationship between Booker and Kara. From that point on, she was harsh on Booker, which led me to believe he was going to be the guilty party. I LOVED that scene in the parking lot. It was reminiscent of the pilot. Lilly was tough, and she got right up in Booker's face. Great scene. I also LOVED the closing scene with Lilly and her pictures. She has all these memories (the home movies from Fly Away, the motorcycle story from The House, and now this), but it's like she has chosen to suppress them for some reason. I'm dying to know what happened to her.
Overall, and excellent episode. My only complaint is CBS's continued misrepresentation of the eps in their promos. I've decided not to believe anything they put in their promos any more.

Thanks Irishkale. Those are my fav scenes from the episode.
I noticed too that the scene you're talking about in the preview wasn't in the episode. This is the third time (that I can remember) this season that CBS has done this. In "Factory Girls", they never had a scene with Lilly entering a closed door (like it showed in the preview). In "The House," there wasn't a scene where Lilly turned around with a shocked look on her face (as it had shown in the preview). My guess is that they're using cut scenes in the previews, although, I could swear the last example I mentioned was really from "The Plan." It's driving me crazy, I know that.

Sorry about that Ryebeach. I just kinda got it into my head that The House was re-airing on the 17th instead of this episode. *bangs head on table*

I don't think I saw this whole episode the first time through. I totally missed the Lilly looking at her pictures with her father at the end at home.
This was a good storyline. This is one of the better episodes this season and actually this has more Lilly in this episode. I had made mention of less Lilly this season just this week and here is one with a good blend of her character.

Good evening everyone, Yes, I must agree with Naj. This was an excellent story, and it provided an interesting look into Lilly's character and past as well. Those pictures with her father were somewhat iffy, considering you could only see the back of his head. I wonder if he is still living... I am also interested in the preview for next week's show. All Mellencamp songs, I'm hoping for "Paper in Fire," and "Cherry Bomb."

This ep is a good lead in to this week's ep "Kensington" as there were references to it and then Lilly at the end with her pictures. I could be wrong. Hi byrdman, Check out our "Sound Track" forum if you'd like to chime in on your guesses for the songs this Sunday for the ep. Kensington Mellencamp Song Guesses! ~Naj

I don't know why I seem to be the only one who didn't think Lilly looked happy when she was looking at those pictures. Maybe I need to watch the episode again . What was said on this episode regarding Kensington? I can't seem to remember anything... but then again, I never do. If anyone can refresh my memory, I'd be really really grateful  .

What was said on this episode regarding Kensington? I can't seem to remember anything... but then again, I never do. If anyone can refresh my memory, I'd be really really grateful . Kara's aunt's restaurant was in Kensington. Lilly seemed like it was all familiar. She immediately went "Yeah, I know the place." Another thing I noticed was that when the INS guy gave Sen the work permits, he said "These are the Dhiets' work permits" as if he knew who the Dhiets really were. Maybe I noticed cause I watched the episode before.
