I don't know why I seem to be the only one who didn't think Lilly looked happy when she was looking at those pictures. Maybe I need to watch the episode again . I didn't rewatch the episode last night but I remember upon initial viewing I thought to myself that Lilly was happy when looking back at those photos. Perhaps that is because they were happy times in her life before trouble started with her father and his subsequent leaving (if that is what really happened to him) or maybe she has always been close to her father and he's still in the picture just hasn't been on the show yet.

I agree more with Disaster. To me it seemed like Lilly's look was melancholic. But Like Ryebach wrote, these pics might be from happy times before trouble started, so maybe there was glimpse of happiness, of a happy memory in the moment. And yes maybe, Lilly'y father is still in the picture, but I rather think he is not. That he is more a faint memory and that Lilly looked at these pics cos she was reminded by Booker of what she had lost and dearly miss.

The local CBS station decided to run "The Terminator." I HATE my CBS station. It's the worst. They did run "Who's Your Daddy" in the middle of the night, though, so I was able to snag it on TiVo.

Sometimes I'm a little upset that I started watching this show only recently because I come to watch an episode like this one *knowing* so much about Lilly's father and other things. But anyway, what an episode! Very interesting case. Bruce Young's charismatic performance was especially intriguing to watch, especially as more and more of the truth behind him was revealed. What fascinated me a lot was how the things that happen in this episode ties in with sooo many things in other episodes from the past, and episodes yet to come in seasons two, three, and even four. Even moreso, are several lines Booker tells Lilly that we know now were *very* insightful. (Hmmmm.... "Booker".... Another one of Cold Case's "literary reference"?? That is, anything associated with literature or reading is generally symbolic of "good" or "goodness"??) One final thing I want to mention is that I liked how it was shown that Stillman is never as quick as the younger detectives in making conclusions. He prods them to investigate more before jumping to conclusions. This is somewhat akin to what Booker told both Lilly and Scotty: "It must rob you of something soul-wise. Suspecting people of unsavory motives all the time."

Saw this episode once before and it took me awhile to get over that scene of the boot licking.. But YUCK!!!
I didn't like that Lilly jumped to conclusions about Booker but I have to admit, I think that's great that he is a father figure to her. I bet Lilly wished she had a father figure as it seems to be that her father was gone.
Not sure why the assistant teacher would actually believe that a girl was royalty, I mean don't kids usually brag about stuff.
The aunt sure was nice about the fact that her family was deported, I don't know if I'd really be happy about it.
