Hmmm... I don't know how to put this exactly... A 'nice' episode?? The story is very interesting, and I really liked seeing Christina Hendricks again. (She did an extremely memorable performance as a *very sexy* vamp in Josh Whedon's Firefly. And in this episode, she's as hot as ever! ;D ) I think there was some kind of 'clincher' missing in this ep, though. There's a certain timelessness and universiality to the story of "killing someone/something that you really love" that applies very well to this episode's storyline --- but unfortunately, it wasn't apparent in this episode as I think it should be... Too bad. I think it would've made a very uniquely complimentary sidestory to the racial issues in this ep. It was interesting to see an older ep to see if Scotty's wearing stripes. He was in two scenes: One a striped shirt, another a striped suit. Though I don't think it means as much in season three as it does in season four. I think the "significance" of this ep is to review Jeffries' family background. You know, to remind us he has a nephew and a younger floosie sister. It looks like along with the country music and husband/wife themes in "The Red and The Blue", that we're being set up for more Jeffries backstory in an upcoming season four ep...

This episode was okay in my opinion. The story behind this was very moving, but I figured out the killer before the episode ended because I was thinking like a writer would think. Of course, they would make the killer someone "not obvious". I mean you would have expected the killer to be the people that hated the victim, but after seeing "Time to Crime"(about the homosexuals lovers)....You would be thinking to yourself...nah the writers wouldn't do something like that again because then it will be too cliché. Of course, that's why they had to make the killer someone close to the victim. I really hate it when I guess the killer before the ending....but the story was very touching. Especially seeing Jefferies's nephew?
I also loved the music they used at the end. Hmmmm it's nice to hear some oldies. This is probably one of the reasons I still watch tv lol. Hopefully other shows in the future will be like Cold Case with the oldies because the radio suaks now.

It was an okay episode but I still can't see Crumbs as the killer though. I thought it would have been the pitcher.
Not much of Vera but loved seeing more of Jefferies and nice to know he's got a nephew.
It seems the one who's name we shall not say isn't really jelling with the partners or something but I'm not growing to like her though. I think they had her come on too quick.
