Well... first off I didn't mean to offend anyone by saying KM had non-beautiful hands. I mean, the gal's already easy on the eye, she can't be perfect. And my hands are more horrible than hers. ;D It's only you can tell her age by them, that's all--as Eli pointed out.
About what LII2 said... I guess we can take her comments and her expressions and turn them into anything we want. They could all stand for something, or they could just be any old comment tossed off in a jolly moment. Truth is, we'll never know. Depends on what you want to see, I suppose.

I think it can go either way how Lilly is feeling, Maybe it's about her dad or her recent breakup? Anyways maybe this case reminded her about him when he was there in her life before leaving her at the age of six.
I think that Dottie should have been more open to let Hawk trying to help Jenny with her dream, not toss it out like her own childhood. I think Dottie is selfish only thinking about herself not what her own daughter's dreams. Jenny found Hawk and knew he would be the only one who could help and talk to her, certainly not her own mother. I think Dottie was like Ellen in a lot of ways.

Can someone with this screencap blow this up to see what this says ?? I'm working from downloaded movie so it isn't the original size and loses something in quality but the body text appears to say (the <something>s are bits I can't read at all) : <something> <something> <something> <something> <something> <something> "Hawk" Hawkins <something> <something> I went to the radio station the night of the third. I took out a gun and shot my husband dead. I went to the radio station the night of the third. I took out a gun and shot my husband dead. Blood spurted. It was a <something>. I went to the radio station the night of the third. I took out the gun and shot my husband dead. <something> <something>. It was <something> <something>. I went to the radio station <scribble that KM wrote 'live'> Yes it repeats alot.

thanks RichE, Is Lilly's signature anywhere on the pad? I can't make out a signature. I think the 2nd box down in the top right of the form (far right of pic) it might say "Det L Rush" above that might be the case number, but it is very difficult to say. I've created this image: It's the best I can do for now, with the video size and compression artefacts it would be almost impossible to improve it. If the data isn't there you can't make it. If this was "CSI" I could make it completely readable in seconds and even tell you the make of paper If someone has the full HD source at full higher quality I think you could read most of it quite easily at that point. Unfortunately the time when it would be most readable, as Lil turns around it is vertical, it is moving so it is blurred.

Thank you for all your hard work RichE No problem. It's interesting to see how much effort goes into making these things accurate, when all they had to do is just fill the page with rhubarb rhubarb.

I wonder if KM herself wrote it or someone else did?

Heh heh heh.... I think I might've figured out why they let "independant movie guy" looked soo much like David Krumholtz (Charlie) from "Numb3rs". It seems that the Bruckheimer camp must've been poking fun at Ridley and Tony Scott--the brothers who produce "Numb3rs"--because it looks like they're teaming up to bring out the new film "Deja Vu". Tony Scott will be directing the movie, and Jerry Bruckheimer is a producer.

I managed to get a slightly higher resolution version of Static to have a look at and I've had another go at deciphering the confession document. This is what I've come up with. Not a great improvement on before I'm afraid. What I then decided to do was to try and remake it in HTML, which I've jpeg'd. It's crude but you get the idea. There's lots that I still can't make out (as denoted by the xxxx's), mostly the little box titles. Clearly the spacing is way out on the handwritten stuff. I added the case number (which I think is in the top right) from the box we see Jeffries carrying at the end of the show, I'm not convinced the confession has the same number on it.

I didn't way in on this episode when it first aired, so I just wanted to add a belated vote of excellence for this ep. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish (which I wasn't sure I would be able to do given I had just come off of watching "Saving Sammy" and was rather annoyed with how Lilly's entire personal storyline seemed to get dumped after what I thought would be a more promising continuation of her and Joseph ... ). So, this episode was a big "redeemer" (if that is even word - LOL!), and it ended up being one of those gems that I have come to enjoy so much with the show - great music, great case, create cinematography, great character in The Hawk. Charles Esten was just brilliant - I could swear this guy really was a big time DJ back in the 50s (LOL!). I was impressed at how much he got into the character. Hawk was was an all around good guy. Had his flaws, but his heart was in the right place ; one of the top 5 of the season for me. I also enjoyed the continuing exploration of Scotty's brother's case. I am a big supporter of personal story lines of all the detectives, so when the writers weave in those elements into an already solid case, it really just makes for a complete package of excellence in an ep. All in all, one of the top episodes of the season for me.

War At Home, Sandhogs and Baby Blues all have an 06 date on them. So it must, for some reason, be to do with the date the casebox was made. WILL BE SHOWING AGAIN ON CBS, 10/27/2007

I should probably mention that Robert Symonds, who played the present-day version of Lloyd Chester (the guy who thought Hawk knocked up his daughter), died on August 23, 2007. His appearance on "Cold Case" was his last on-screen role.
He was the second of two actors I know of on the show who've since died. The first was the much younger Chaney Kley from "Strange Fruit", who died a month earlier that same year.
Symonds' wife, Priscilla Pointer, also appeared on the show, in the episode "Debut", playing Lillian, the mother of the victim.

Actually, I was mistaken. There was another who died over a year before either of them:
Paul Gleason, who play the present-day version of Matthew's father in "Blank Generation", passed away on May 27, 2006. He was probably best known for his roles in "The Breakfast Club" and "Die Hard".
