Great. This episode is fleurkin' sad. But it's way better than a CSI: Miami ep again! (Sorry, needed an excuse to include a dancing banana in my post.)

Caught the rerun today ... it really is so sad!!!
I missed this one the first time round, so it's my first exposure to Lilly's past about her mom. Kathryn did an excellent job (as per always), and I especially enjoyed the exchange between her and Scotty.

It was the first time that I saw this ep too, and I thought that it was one of the best of the season. What a performance by KM! It was great to see her use her acting chops more than usual. CC is just so well written. I love the complexity of this story. It was so tragic. Lilly's emotions were so well written and acted. This episode really made her human. She was quick to judge (aren't we all), but then had a complete turn around when she found out what really happened. The closing scene with Lilly sitting there alone in her apartment watching home movies was very poignant. Overall, I thought the episdode was excellent.

I love this episode I taped it though I think I was doing my assignment I can't remeber but everytime I watch it, it gets to me...I noticed that she was a quick judge and it was shown in the episode....we learnt abit more about her pst in this episode though, which, was good. Lilly looked so cute in the end though brillaint acting by KM.

I rewatched this episode tonight. It wasn't just a regular episode with a few personal moments for Lilly. The whole episode was personal. If you pay attenttion, you can see that Lilly is angry during the whole episode - first with Rosie, then with Rosie's dad and Mr. Freely.
Very touching scene when she talks about her mother to Scotty. Her mother really messed up, it seems. For the first time I thought about Lilly's father - it also seems like he was never there.
The ending never ceases to amaze. Even now, that I already now what's going to happen, I get shocked. It's so sad and so unexpected.
My favorite episode!

When Lilly goes off on her life as a kid--she kinda looses herself. This ep leaves me wondering if the sexual abuse from Mr. Freely hits home with Lilly's young life. This episode is just really tragic. ~Naj

I re-watch the episode all the time, i caught it on tape... the end is what always gets me... when she it sitting in the window watching the home video, i feel like im sitting next to her, and its just really sad. And so much stranger, i wish someone could tell her that its ok! *of course, she has to tell someone SOMETHING about her personall life...* Very powerful stuff.

This is the first time I saw this episode. I loved it! I guessed from the beginning about Mr. Freely, but they threw me for a loop when it turned out to be a totally different ending! I cried at the end - so sad that it had to be that way. Sad parts about Lilly's childhood too.
Another GREAT episode!

I re-watched this one again as well. It's just sooo tragic and sad! I taped it and watched it right b/f I went to bed, and I couldn't get to sleep. It just stays with you for so long afterward. It's my fav episode though, go figure! I just love the personal development with Lilly in this one. Plus, the story is so complex and moving. The ending montage is very haunting. The last shot with Lilly watching home movies left me wondering. She was watching a happy memory. I wonder what happened b/t making snow angels with mom and waiting for mom to come home and feed her when she was out drunk and "looking for a man." I hope they fill in some of the blanks next season. SilverJewel - I'm writing a recap for this episode. It should be up in the Recaps forum by the end of this week/beginning of next week (as soon as I get a spare moment). I hope that helps.

I saw last night's episode..so sad I saw how angry Lilly got when she basically relayed something or more of her past. This ep she definitely took to heart. How sad when the mother remembered that b/c of the social worker's threats that she couldn't let her daughter's innocents be spoiled by that social worker and the only thing to do was to end both of their lives. However, I am glad the social worker got justice done thru other mothers who came in with their children to testify against him. Just seeing that one girl with a tear going down her cheek, gosh it broke my heart... This was a very emotional episode and it affected Lilly too b/c of her past as a child...

Hi Eurache,
Initially when Lilly and Scotty were interrogating Mr. Freely and looked to the two-way mirror, I ddin't think anyone was there at that meeting. They fooled me I guess. Lily has much emotion related to these crimes and I totally forgot how truly sad the ending was. And I never got who lily was watching on the tape at her townhouse. I thought she had a tape of that woman and her child. How silly of me.....

I may be misinterpreting what you are saying, but when they were interrogating Mr. Freely, and Lilly first mentioned the other mothers and daughters, there was no one behind the one way mirror. I think she was trying to fool him into spilling it by tellling him that other people were there that would if he didnt. But later they did have people come in, to id him after he confessed, i guess.

Yep... they fooled him by letting him think there were ppl behind that one way mirror... but eventually when he confessed, the parents and children did show up.. I thought that tape was of Lilly's mom and her
