Hey Eduardo! Hey, bud! Thanks so much for the prompt response and help. I knew that you knew Spanish, and I was hopeful that you could help. Say, will you be at chat tonight, Eduardo? I am planning on making it! Hope to see you there! Take care today, and thanks again for your help! No problem Byrdman: Spanish is my first language. About the chat... IDK because I have not slept very well and I have to go to college tomorrow... I will try to go anyway. Thanks Bud

Softball is a girl's version of Baseball, but instead of throwing overhand, you do a windmill pitch and you throw underhand. Also, the ball is also much bigger than your typical baseball. But, you shouldn't kid yourself by the name of the ball because it is far beyond soft when it hits you . It hurts like a b!tch when you get hit by a softball. I have a bone to pick with this. Softball is not a girl's version of baseball. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SoftballIt's a variant of baseball using a larger ball and aluminum bats instead of ones made out of wood, but plenty of men play softball. Plenty of women play baseball. It's a gender-neutral sport and wasn't invented to be played solely by women.

I rated the episode as one of the seasons best! I found myself crying at the end and I don't do it often this season. The majority of the episodes aren't very touching this year but this... This last with Scotty's story and the cousin's sadness... A bad time, a bad moment and everything changed to the worst so many times... Scotty's fridge with the champagne... Pino's experiences and stories added so much to this story and made it very intresting, too. Intresting information about the immigrants from Cuba, the players and many things... As for the plot, OK... We can't have everything. Not many suspects. I guessed that it was the agent. The first scene and this with cleaning his hands gave me the wrong idea. I was relieved when I realised that the cousin, at least, didn't do it on purpose, in fact he tried to save him after... This was an end to an absolute "human" episode. An end with a killer killing for money wouldn't be so touching and strong and this point it did remind me of real CC: 'Human" stories, not many sick killers, not many killings based on the profit and only. The anti-communist-and-so-on points were expected. OK, we speak about american television... Funny moments too!! Lil's glare to Vera was adorable! Kat too! The match was a happy moment for the team and maybe we wanted a bit more... Loved Stillman with sunglasses! And... of course ( ;D ), I loved the fact that Scotty was always with Lil, their discussion about Cuba and the fact that there were moments when Lil gave him the same sympathetic glare that he had given to her so many times. (Look the final scene in the interogation and the interogation scene in S1 where she speaks to boy abused by his father. They had changed roles this time and, even, they were more expessive!). What meant all the spanish words that Lil said?? (Gringa is the feminine for Gringo... OK what means Gringo??? ;D ) LII2, you were right about Lil... KM didn't look very good... Although, in all the last eps looked perfect... Only in the scene at the office, at night, was looking too good! Anyway. (Btw Pino was stunning in the last scene! )

Some random thoughts:
-ANOTHER 1998 case! I wonder if this year holds the record for most number of cases.
-I wonder if the agent using sanitizer would be some sort of clue for later (i.e. they find traces of hand sanitizer on the murder weapon or something like that). I knew he'd wind up being up to no good one way or another. Since when does Nestor Serrano ever play nice guys? ("24" fans might remember him as Navi Araz, the father of the terrorist family back in season 4)
-I was kinda hoping it wouldn't be the cousin, but figured it probably would be. He mentions casually having used to play baseball like it's not a big deal. Of course, usually when a character says they don't care about something (i.e. Karen about her kid in "The Good-Bye Room", Jakob about his old Amish life in "Running Around", Carlos about getting a cochlear in "Andy in C Minor", George Watson about Julian posing as a white man in "Libertyville"), typically we find out they DO care and somehow that leads to them killing the victim. Besides that, we've already had a couple of victims killed by a cousin before ("The Hitchhiker", "Devil Music").
-Odd that I noticed this but the uniformed officer taking pictures at the end was also seen doing the same earlier this season in "Pin Up Girl".
-Vera tends to be the butt of a lot of jokes and stick his foot in his mouth, but it was nice to see he was the one who scored a homer and got a couple of his squad-mates home. (Wish they'd ended the show with that!)
-No Frankie, Cooper, or Bell this week. No personal stuff at all (at least none that wasn't relevant to the case somehow).
-Interesting that they'd let Danny write (or at least co-write) an episode. Actors directing episodes of their TV shows are pretty common (as John Finn did earlier this season), but not too many examples of an actor writing an episode. Now when the heck are they gonna let ME write an episode! I'll give a good one! I promise! ;D

No Todd: The initial flashback was from 1998 but the murder took place in 1999. 1998 and 1999 were tied as the years with more cold cases(6 each one) but now 1999 has 7 with "Stealing Home" and 1998 still has 8 The same happened in 3x08 Honor where the initial flashback is in August 1972 but Carl was killed in April 1973... all people now think Honor is a 1972 case and It's not! btw, the only 72 case is the infamous "The woods" -Odd that I noticed this but the uniformed officer taking pictures at the end was also seen doing the same earlier this season in "Pin Up Girl". I did not check if this has happened before I know David Boreanaz got to direct an episode of "Angel", Paul McCrane and Laura Innes have directed episodes of "ER", James McDaniel directed an episode "NYPD Blue", George Wendt and John Ratzenberger both directed episodes of "Cheers", Kelsey Grammer directed episodes of "Frasier", David Schwimmer directed episodes of "Friends" and spin-off "Joey". Most of all, nearly every actor on "Star Trek: The Next Generation", "Deep Space Nine", and "Voyager" have directed episodes (and even a few of the movies!) That's actually where Roxann Dawson got her directing start. ;D

Now that Danny Co-wrote one, would KM ever write on herself. As for the episode it could have used some personal stories( Scotty's brother Mike or some of his family).

I thought this episode was pretty good. I always love the banter between the detectives and this one was good for that. Pretty sad in the end with cousin killing him, even more sad that it all could have been so different if he had made it to dry land and also I really wanted it to be Reyes, what a scumbag. The ending song was great too, I didn't understand a word of it but I liked the beat and I loved that guy's voice. I do wish they would have shown more of the softball game between the police and fire dept. Did anyone notice the blooper when Stillman and Jefferies were talking to Reyes. When he pumped that hand sanitizer into his hands he had on his jacket. When they showed him from behind rubbing it into his hands you can see that he's just wearing his white dress shirt and his jacket is on the chair then when they show him again after that he takes off his jacket and drapes it over the chair. I know I 'm weird I notice things like that, drives my husband nuts.

I rewatched the moment!! You are right!!!!! hehe! You aren't weird! You are a good observer!! It's funny to notice these little bad continuities of the plans. There were more in some earlier seasons of CC, even with KM's makeup! I notice them, me too, but I miss some. hehe!! ;D

They did mention the Philies, since that was the team that the victim was going to play for. Yes it's a real team.. I know it's a real team. They did not mention they're the World Series Champions They kind of did, indirectly. When talking about Gonzalo, somebody (Stillman, I think) said 'he would have won a ring last year', presumably on the assumption he would have stayed with the Phillies for 9 years (unlikely in today's FA obsessed game)

That said, I didn't really think this was a good episode. I love baseball, Astros fan, so it was disappointing how things fleshed out. It was a bit lame in all honesty.
Also, probably totally in the wrong place and about a week or so late, but RIP Harry Kalas. As I said, I'm an Astros fan, but I loved tuning into Phillies games just to hear Harry call a game. One of the greats, if not the greatest.
