I liked it, first of all it was a decent one much better than I had expected.
I knew that there would be a mention of Ray and but I was surprised about how Lilly mentioned that she knew someone undercover ( Saccardo). Though it was surprise that Monster was really a cop, that really took the cake. I did however, think that Darren sort of reminded me of Ray; due to to the hair.
Who was that woman who seemed to be in a panic; that was looking for Jefferies, that was left unexplained.
Getting back to the storyline, it seemed like for awhile that both the one who's name we shall not say and Darren were meant for each other; but he should have saved her.
We finally got one of the detectives to see the victim, Lilly did when Colin the father saw the one who's name we shall not say for just a small moment. The next episode really looks very emotional

I really liked this episode. The music was great, I thought all the actors did a fantastic job, especially Spencer Locke (the one who's name we shall not say). When you don't have anything left in life, you sometimes turn to things you otherwise wouldn't think of in order to find acceptance and love. When the one who's name we shall not say's dad went to jail, she had nothing. Her house was foreclosed, she had no parents, no money and no friends. So she thought this gang of bikers could be a substitute family, so she turned to them and they turned on her.
After last week's episode, this was a welcome refreshment.

the one who's name we shall not say and Darren wanting to run off with each other, reminded me of when Lilly said both she and Ray took off; when she was 19 and almost got married. It's kind of sad that the one who's name we shall not say had to died in the matter that she did.

i really enjoyed this episode it was quite a shock that Darren turned his back on the one who's name we shall not say but she didn't know what she was getting herself into unfortunately and in the end thats really what killed her. for some reason i feel like this would be like based on Hells Angels. my dad even agreed with me about that haha

Excellent episode! I thought there were a lot of very interesting characters in the entire story, and I couldn't guess who was the doer. The music selection couldn't be any better, and for some reason, I really especially enjoyed watching the present/past actor pairings too. "Hog Island" and "Hog Island Road", where Libby the one who's name we shall not say was found, is where Philly International Airport is today. Way back in the early 20th century before the airport was built, that area was used for ship building. The story goes that the shipyard workers were South Philly Italians who made their lunch sandwiches from salad and meats placed in an Italian roll. These sandwiches eventually were called "Hoagies", or what others call "Grinders" or subs today. So it appears that there may have been a little bit of foreshadowing in one of the flashbacks, where what appeared to be a "hoagie" sandwich is passed around, and eventually Darren takes it and places it into his motorcycle saddle bag. When we later learn that drugs were being transported this way (to look like a wrapped hoagie), it's the tip-off that Darren isn't as "clean" or "straight" as he appears to be. I live now a few blocks off West Chester Pike, so it was funny to hear them mention that too. Next week's episode looks really good!

Who was that woman who seemed to be in a panic; that was looking for Jefferies, that was left unexplained. I think it will have something to do with next week's episode: Officer DownWe finally got one of the detectives to see the victim, Lilly did when Colin the father saw the one who's name we shall not say for just a small moment. The next episode really looks very emotional It was not clear if Lilly saw the victim. Maybe she did maybe she didn't... It was not clear...the one who's name we shall not say only saw her father. It resembled the ending of Andy in C Minor but in Andy in C Minor we were sure Andy looked at Lilly not the same case in thisAfter last week's episode, this was a welcome refreshment. It's all about taste. I loved Witness protection. This one... I voted for OK. Did not like music, did not like flashback style, did not like characters, did not like so many things... I did not hate this one as I hated Breaking news though. The best part was in the end when we did not know who killed the one who's name we shall not say> If Shameless or Darren. Good chemistry between Monster and Stillman. Liked Kat's bad girl attitude. Scotty was OK. QUESTIONS!!! 1. What Lilly did to Libby's car? what Scotty told her before that?
2. I did not understand if Jackals caught Darren & the one who's name we shall not say or Darren told Jackals the one who's name we shall not say was with him at the end.
3. Did Shameless rape the one who's name we shall not say?

1. Lilly broke one of Libby's taillights, Scotty had told her that they had needed a reason to bring him in.
2. Remember Libby Called Shameless, but they probaby figured it out. They did catch both Darren and the one who's name we shall not say
3. Shameless didn't rape the one who's name we shall not say, he killed her with that knife or icepick. It said in the report that she was stabbed repeatly.

Great episode, I voted it excellent. Superb supporting cast, I spent most of the ep going "Hey! It's that guy!" and confirming it later on imdb Excellent interaction from all our detectives this week - I enjoyed Kat's little moments, like the "oops" and suggesting Burke would be eager to receive visitors. Loved that she got to be Scotty's back up against a bunch of vicious bikers - proof this girl is tough! And hey, genuine Scotty/Lilly interaction for the first time in forever - adored Lilly smashing the tail light and Scotty's knowing smirk. Can't say I've missed those two being paired up but it was nice to see 'em together. And the case, well, they threw every curve ball going. I was BEGGING Darren not to walk away at the end, I couldn't believe he would do that. Just when I had some sympathy for him, too, but to walk away, knowing your girl is being murdered behind you...sheesh. And Monster was a cop! That was a turn up. Adored the interrogation scene with Scotty and Shameless when he threw that little factoid into Shameless's face. Nice playing from both actors in this scene, it could have easily been overplayed and wasn't, as was the better for it. So yeh, good return to form this week and next week's ep is going to be a doozy. Welcome back, Cold Case!

A doozy is like a real flop, doesn't seem worthwhile.

A doozy is like a real flop, doesn't seem worthwhile. Which is real proof you shouldn't jump into something you don't fully know, LII2. In the UK, we use "doozy" to mean something really special.

mitchy- I didn't know that, in the US it means something the opposite.

mitchy- I didn't know that, in the US it means something the opposite. Actually, I was about to post a correction when you answered - I looked up "doozy" in a US dictionary and it means the same there too, so it's not UK specific www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/doozyBut anyway, let us not sidetrack this thread with this, back to CC reviews!

I retracted my vote and changed it to Hated it... I did not have this feeling even with Breaking News... I see I am the only one but I hated it... Did not like a single character. Shameless killed the one who's name we shall not say because she was gonna run away with his money? Why the one who's name we shall not say did not want to see Shameless again? why she was so scared? So many things I did not understand... HATED IT

This episode shot the ratings back up, after the last awful episode. I felt that this episode had quality to it unlike the last few ones. To answer your question, Libby was the one who called Shameless, she probably had told him about the money. He probably then rounded up his posse in search for her; knowing that Darren would be there as well. the one who's name we shall not say was scared of Shameless, afraid of what he might do to her. In the end, she did die scared while he stabbed her repeatly to death. Just look at the guy, if you didn't do something he had every power to kill. In contrast this episode actually was well worth viewing unlike , the last episode" Witness protection", which had nothing significant worthy of watching for me.

I just remembered this about the episode.
the one who's name we shall not say went to Blessed Trinity, a Catholic high school. Her skirt's pattern was the same pattern I wore my freshman and sophomore years of high school at MY Catholic school. I still have my skirts in a box in my attic somewhere. I thought that was kind of neat.

I understood the words but I did not feel very good about this episode... Maybe because Cold Case is this way: To place different people. I found "The Brush Man" & "Witness Protection" really good episodes... This one had nothing I could care for...
