This story is written for all the shippers out there. I think all of you will enjoy this one..
Storyline- It's only four months to go until the wedding and already there are several major roadblocks ahead. Can these series of events remain positive or do they seem to worsen? Can the relationship of both Lilly and Scotty remain strong or does it cause them to split for good??
Rating- Pg-13
This story isn't basically set to any specific season, Ellen Rush is very much well and alive in this story. Lilly's father and Christina are in this one as well, Comments and suggestions are very much appreciated...
Flowers check… Finding a catering hall check…. Hiring a DJ check…
Spending the weekend with both her parents and her future in-laws; Lilly left that part unchecked.
It was only four months until the wedding, and yet she was full of nerves; while her fiancés Scotty pretended to act cool about this. Besides he wasn’t really into the whole wedding thing at all, maybe because they only had dated for six months before Scotty had proposed. Lilly sighed, as she checked off more things from her to do list
Glancing over at her watch, she didn’t want to go over there and pick up her mother, “Your mother is a royal pain, Scotty.”
He chuckled, “Yeah I know, she wants to bring the family together. “ “Just not mine, especially when it comes to both my mom and dad. “Thinking how that might not go down so well.
They didn’t have a great marriage, and besides that she knew that at the wedding, her father was brining his current wife, which might send off big sparks from her mother. That was something that Lilly did not want on her wedding day.
Scotty gave her a small smile, “You look beautiful”, trying to lift up his fiancés mood. Clearly he knew that Lilly’s mind was all on planning this wedding, yet she still had many things to do in order for it to go down right.
She shot him a quick look, reminding him that love and work didn’t quite fit into the same category. Besides, they weren’t off duty; which had meant they needed to stay professional. However Scotty got the message, but he too wasn’t quite looking forward to this weekend. He had on occasion seen Lilly’s father, but yet dreaded what her mother might look like.
After hearing the stories that Lilly had told him, Scotty then decided to call his father. He cared too much about his bride to even put her through this.
Before he could, Ramiro showed up. As the two stood outside, Scotty shook his head, “This isn’t a good idea, and her mother the way she is. I just want Lil to be happy for once, besides she’s pregnant. “
Ramiro liked Lilly, and was glad that his son had chosen the right woman. On the other hand, he respected his wife, “This is family Scotty, and we need to bring the families together.”
Somehow while she was helping her father with something, later on; he too resented going, “No way am I going, not with your mother being there.” Lilly sighed, “Look I don’t want to go either, but just once dad please. It’s important to my in-laws.”, but Paul wasn’t exactly thrilled, “You invited her to your wedding?”
She shook her head, which had him not really wanting to attend. However being that it was his daughter, there was no way that Paul would even miss that event. Besides he was going to become a grandfather soon, “I hope you are making the right decision Lilly, in marrying this man. I just don’t want you to be unhappy that’s all.”
As Paul pulled her into an embrace, Lilly felt a slight flutter, “The baby just moved.” putting her father’s hand onto her stomach. He too was delighted to be feeling this, “Just hope that one doesn’t resemble its father. “
That was yet another thing wrong with how everything was going, her father didn’t quite like Scotty. Even though the three had had dinner together on several occainsions, it was plain clear about the strong dislike. “You better get used of him; he’s still the father of your grandchild.” Paul had wished that she would have stayed with Eddie; a man that he knew would be the right one for his daughter.
After coming back from her lunch break, Scotty met her half-way. The two knew that this upcoming weekend would only prove to be a bad thing. Plus then they had their wedding coming up; which had both of them nervous.
Trying to convince Dad to go… Checked Trying to get Mom to go….. Unchecked Getting the dress re-fitted in four months…. Unchecked Making reservations for a pre-wedding dinner party… Checked Double checking if Scotty actually bought the plane tickets for their honeymoon in Puerto Rico… Checked
Lilly grew frustrated, while booking the tickets to Puerto Rico herself. She hated when he had promised her what he would get around to do this. In the middle of all of this, came upon another checklist.
Actually working on this case… Unchecked Buying stuff for the nursery…. Unchecked
She was about to write something, when Scotty had picked it up. He chuckled in amusement, “Actually working on this case, it would be nice Lil. You can plan for this wedding later.”
“Like you had promised?”
“Don’t take a tone Lil”, as she rolled her eyes at him, “Been busy that’s all.”
“Yeah, Yeah”, while beginning to get her mind back on this case. During the middle of it, Lilly added in another note to her checklist.
Take Mom to a store to get her a dress for the wedding…Unchecked Make sure that Christina is actually coming... Unchecked

PART II of the next chapter
Taking Mom dress shopping… Checked Ask ADA Bell if he is going to come…. Checked Going Baby Shopping with Christina and Maggie… Checked
Lilly finished her checklist for today, while stroking her abdomen. She couldn’t still believe that she was actually pregnant, but better preparing for the baby and the wedding; Lilly was downright tired. Plus the fact she still wasn’t looking forward to this weekend. It was bad enough, that the two of parents were going to be in the same house along with her in-laws.
She really hoped that her mother wouldn’t cause anything, nor would her father for that matter. Just then Lilly added more to that checklist. Remind Scotty not to drink directly out of the Orange Juice container
She sighed in disguist after seeing clearly him drinking that, “ Don’t you dare, I drink that too you know. “ Scotty turned before settling the carton down on the counter, “ I don’t think this is such a good idea, with your parents and mine together. “
Lilly nodded in agreement, “ Did you talk to your dad about that?” “ Didn’t help, this weekend’s still on.”, before noticing that her hand was stroking her abdomen. With a small smile, she took his hand and placed it there. Scotty’s face warmed, feeling the fluttering underneath. Just then the sound of his cell was heard ringing, “Gotta go.” ,Giving her a tiny peck on the cheek.
Three days later…
While lying in bed one night, Lilly felt a pair of lips kissing her neck. She wasn’t that thrilled especially since he had missed one of the sonogram appointments, it wasn’t exactly his fault. Scotty was stuck in an interrogation room for six hours, but still she wanted them there. Feeling his lips kissing her stomach, Lilly turned over, “ The baby’s healthy”, as she showed him the photo. Studying it closely, Scotty couldn’t make heads or tails on what it might be, but noticed that Lilly was keeping it on her nightstand, “ It’s moving again.”
“Been moving all night, and I’m hungry.” Scotty exhaled deeply, “Lil it’s 1am, I ain’t going back out there.” Lilly continued rubbing her stomach, “ I’m not asking you to, just for some ice cream,” as she drifted back to sleep. He gently pulled the covers over her, before kissing her cheek.
FRIDAY MORNING It wasn’t even 6am, when their car entered the highway; with Ellen Rush in the backseat. She too wasn’t that thrilled to be up at this time, nor stuck inside of a long car ride. Lilly had managed to fall asleep, but had been wakened up several times due to Scotty’s hard braking. She couldn’t stand that, “ Will you ease off the brakes, it’s making me sick?”
What she didn’t know if that they were stuck in traffic due to an accident. Scotty took a sip from his coffee mug, while hearing Lilly softly calling out for some. He knew with her being pregnant, she was restricted from having a cup.
The drive out of Philly took forever, but once out and in New Jersey; Scotty had made as pit stop so that all three of them could eat something. Once back on the road, there were more delays on the George Washington Bridge.
“ You alright Mom?” asked Lilly. Ellen nodded, “ Yeah, I’m fine Lilly.” She too was bored especially while sitting in a car dead traffic.
Once the traffic started moving again, Scotty reached over taking Lilly’s hand into his. He knew that this was important for both her and her mother to be there, but feared it would tear them apart. Especially now with Ellen bantering his girl back and forth. He knew that she wasn’t mother of the year but this had to stop. “ Enough, leave Lil alone already!” Ellen exhaled deeply, “ I’m her mother I can say what I want!”, which was making Lilly not really want her there for both the wedding and for the baby’s birth. She could deal without her, but for now tried to sit back and relax. While driving Scotty and Lilly talked about the case, while trying to keep both of their minds occupied; however the annoyance in the backseat was already angering them. Looking out the window, her hand gently stroked her stomach, while thinking about several names for it. She was already had grown quite maternal but wasn’t that pleased about all of this.
Once Scotty had stopped for gas, Ellen got out of the car, “ I don’t think he’s right for you Lilly”, while seeing her hand resting on her stomach, “ I just want you to be happy.” “ I am Mom.” Ellen then breathed out before touching the side of her daughter’s cheek, “ I like that guy you were seeking before, the drug cop. He was right for you, couldn’t understand why you left him for this one. “

As much as the traveling was a pain, they finally had arrived. Lilly couldn’t believe that his parents had rented a house for the weekend. Once inside, her father embraced her, while ignoring to shake Scotty’s hand. He didn’t like the man, but was far too more interested in his daughter’s pregnancy. As the two went upstairs to speak, Ellen Rush came in groaning about the long drive.
Right away, Rosa became very chatty with her. Ellen tried to be cordial but had found that she wasn’t really into gossiping with this woman. Just then the exes made eye contact with each other, “ What’s she doing here?”
Ellen frowned as Paul shot his ex a cold, stern look, from behind; Lilly softly touched his arm. As he came down the stairs, the two continued to look at each other, “ Isn’t there someplace you can hide, like in the attic?” “ Enough both of you!” as Lilly stood in between, “ We’re all here to have a weekend together, please don’t ruin this.”
Since it was late at night, everyone went to bed. Scotty immediately led his fiancé back into the room, knowing that she too needed to sleep, but however her mind was clearly on both of her parents. The two weren’t that pleased to be sharing a room that had two beds; together. As Scotty wrapped both of his arms around her waist, Lilly let out a breath.
They both could feel their baby moving inside, but more importantly she was now four months pregnant, as Scotty whispered a few words to her in Spanish, she calmed. Lilly knew that all this stress wasn’t that good for the baby. Once in bed, she rested her head against his chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat.
Scotty felt unwelcomed especially around her father, which hurt the most. Her family meant something to him, but perhaps that would change once their baby had been born. What if it didn’t, would he have to go through his to be marriage with a father in law that didn’t even like him?
During the night, he continued listening to the sound of Lilly breathing against him. His hand was rested on her stomach; protecting their child. With wonder about what it might be, Scotty hoped that it would come out looking just like it’s beautiful mother.
Then he heard the sound of his future in-laws yelling, that also got Lilly stirring, “ Sleep Lil,” he whispered softly while kissing the top of her head, “ Let them deal with it.”
She felt too tired to even get up, before drifting back into a deep sleep. This left Scotty there to listen to the bantering of both now his parents adding to their own set of problems, not once did he leave the room. Besides he too needed to sleep as well.
Down the hall, Paul wasn’t that thrilled to be sharing a room with his ex-wife, “ You are the most miserable person in the world, our daughter’s getting married and pregnant and you can’t even be happy for her.” “ Yeah, Yeah”, as Ellen turned onto her stomach, “ Just turn off the light.”
Paul frowned at her, wondering how in the world that he could marry someone like her. Settling into bed, he couldn’t sleep. Not with her in the same room, “ Turn off the light, I can’t sleep.”
“ I can’t either.”
Ellen looked up, “ What do you want from me, we haven’t been together since 1976. Move on already.” As he turned over and turned out the light, Paul knew he wasn’t going to ruin this for his daughter. He worried about what his ex-wife might do or say.
The Next Morning
Lilly hadn’t expected for her in-laws to be making breakfast, but somehow they did. Upon coming downstairs, her father hugged her, “ You sleep well?”
“ Sort of, could have used a few more hours. Is Mom still sleeping?” Paul sighed, “ Yeah, hopefully she won’t wake up until we have to leave,” which got Scotty chuckling in amusement. Lilly shot him a look, before seeing her mother coming out of the kitchen with a cup of coffee in her hands, “ I heard that, you are one miserable being.”
Seeing the look on his daughter’s face, Paul didn’t respond. Just then Rosa called both Lilly and Ellen into the kitchen, while the men sat down at the table. Scotty took a sip of his coffee, “ I think Lil’s spending more time putting together the nursery than on this wedding.” “ Why didn’t you just wait a few years, let you two be parents first?”, said Paul, “ Give my daughter some more time to think about this. I think you rushed a bit in proposing so fast.”
Even Ramiero had agreed, “ The baby’s going to change both of your lives. It’s up to the both of you, your mother and I have our own opinion but it’s both you and Lilly’s future together.”
Inside of the kitchen, it was clear that Ellen had no idea how to cook. Rosa was impressed with how Lilly’s own skills, “Where did you learn how to cook, not from my son of course?”
“ No a former boyfriend of mine taught me.” Which had Ellen butting into the conversation, “ In which she should have still been with.” Rosa frowned at the older blonde, “ You have something against my son; my son is a good man”, as she grew defensive.

I think this storyline is getting out of control, let me know if it is or not..
Rosa’s eyes glared at the older blonde with anger, but then started cooking. When everything was done, Scotty glanced up seeing all three women coming out of the kitchen. At that point, Paul saw Ellen also carrying a tray, “I hope that edible!”
Ellen hissed at him, before she sat down. The two were now giving each other cold looks, which had seem to be irritating, Lilly even more. Scotty made a stupid decision as he spoke, “Haven’t you two been divorced since ’76.”
“’78, and that’s none of your business!” grunted Paul. Lilly was downright fuming with anger, before her father had stopped talking. Still she couldn’t consume anything, even as the conversation lightened. Scotty heard her stomach protesting loudly, knowing that their baby was also hungry as well, “You should eat Lil, baby needs to eat,” whispering that into her ear.
She too was annoyed with him trying to get her to eat all the time. Lilly then excused herself before going upstairs, once there; her hand glided onto her stomach. She knew it wasn’t good to not eat, but somehow felt repulsed by having both of her parents here.
Downstairs, Paul really didn’t like Scotty and continued to show his dislike, when Ellen sat down next to him, he let out a long sigh, “Did you really have to sit here?”
“You like I’m the worst person in the world, I’m not Paul,” which had him standing up, as he look at everyone else, “Excuse me, I need to have this little chat with my ex-wife,” yanking Ellen’s hand.
In the living room, things turned out much differently. Within a few moments, he was holding Ellen in his arms; turns out that she missed both his comfort and safety. Actually it felt like old times there, “You’re not drinking.” “ I quit a while ago”, her voice lowering into silence; but as he continue holding her; Ellen calmed and tried to forget every bad part about their marriage. For now, she just needed him.
Meanwhile, Scotty had gone back upstairs to find his fiancé looking scorned at him, “Alright Lil, I had it what did I do?”
Lilly threw a pillow at him, perhaps it was just her hormones; she was indeed four months pregnant. Besides he couldn’t help but to notice her growing stomach, “You showing more,” as his face warmed slightly. However she wasn’t impressed knowing that he had no clue to why she was angry, “ You could at least had tried to be more cordial to my parents, even talk to them!”
“How could I Lil, your dad hate me? Gives me those looks, your mom’s a complete whack job,” once again he didn’t know when to keep his mouth shut. That’s when she threw a pillow at him, Scotty knew he was now out of line, “So what now Lil, I tried to talk to your dad nothing.”
Lilly shook her head, “Fine, whatever I’ll speak to him, “feeling the baby stirring. Scotty then shut the door, before his hand as well reached over to feel that as well. In the midst of hard feelings, their lips came together, “ I still love you Lil”, as he knelt down to kiss her stomach, “ and our baby.”
For now the two relaxed, while Scotty massaged her back. She needed that, “I’m hungry,” which got him chuckling, “See you should have ate something, and baby’s getting anxious.”
By now both Paul and Ellen had returned to their rooms, but were actually getting along better. Besides he was able to bring forth a smile onto her face, “Our wedding wasn’t as nearly as nice as what Lilly’s will be.” Ellen smiled softly, “Plus with the baby on the way, “her eyes lit up excitedly. Paul’s smile had died,” I don’t know how good this guy is for our daughter. I just don’t want her to end up raising our grandchild alone.” “Lilly can take care of herself; she’s much stronger than I was. She doesn’t need him,” which was something that the two had agreed on.
When Scotty had returned with some food that his mother had cooked for Lilly, he noticed what she was exactly reading, “Baby names, read later Lil, eat.” Lilly knew that he still couldn’t cook, unlike herself. That part was bothering her a bit, but reality it wasn’t really Scotty’s thing. Besides he could practically live on takeout and not care just how expensive it sometimes could be. She wanted the baby to grow up eating home-cooked meals, but perhaps it was all up to her to make that happen.
Although the day was quite a rainy one, the two snuggled together while watching a movie in bed. It was nice to relax for a change without the constant ringing of a cell phone. She now felt Scotty’s lips kissing her neck, while a feeling of love entered her heart.
Before long, Lilly came down around 1pm for some lunch. Much to her surprise her father handed her a plate, “I was just going to bring this up to you, figured you might be hungry.” “Thanks, everything fine with you and mom?”
Paul sighed, “Not anymore, “letting his hand rest on her stomach, as the two felt the baby’s first kicks. It made a huge smile come out onto her face, while feeling the fluttering from underneath her hand. He too was thrilled to be feeling that, “You do look beautiful pregnant Lilly, and I’m just worried about that man that you are able to marry.”
He squeezed her hand, “As your father I’m concerned. Maybe he isn’t the right one for you, I get that sense completely.” Lilly could understand his reasons, “You haven’t been so nice to Scotty, or even had a conversation with him. Yet you speak to his father and mother, I would mean something to me if you talked to him.”
Later on everyone came down to discover that Rosa had cooked a rather large meal, as the sound of Cuban music flowed through the house, the conversation turned positive. Lilly had already dug into her meal, while Ramerio glanced over at her father, “You did a good job raising her, and she’s quite a beautiful woman, just like her mother.” Ellen also had smiled, knowing that it had been a long time before someone had given her that compliment. The food was indeed pretty good, as Scotty pecked Lilly on the cheek, “Good food, huh?” Just then there was loud crash of thunder before, the lights went out. Ramiro immediately got up in search for flashlights, while everyone else remained seated. “ It rained on our wedding day, “ as Paul glanced over, “ Wasn’t it telling us something?” Ellen shook her head ignoring his comment, while Lilly got up to collect the dishes.

As Lilly continued scraping the food into the garbage can, she immediately felt Scotty’s lips nibbling at her neck. Did he really have to be doing this, especially now?
Taking the plate from her, he could see her own anger brewing, “ Appears as if the power is going to be out for awhile now.” Lilly groaned, wanting to the weekend to be done with, she couldn’t wait to get back home already.
However Scotty already had read her mind, while his hand wrapped once again around her stomach. He tried to remain positive for her, “ Just think of my beautiful bride, walking down to me. His lips kissing her neck, while she exhaled. Somehow they both felt the fluttering kicks of their unborn baby, which made him smile.
Lilly wasn’t pleased, in fact she still was very much annoyed with him, “ You don’t get it, Scotty,” pushing him away from her, “ You can’t pretend that everything here is fine, It’s very clear that your parents don’t like me.”
“ Not like yours likes me either Lil, this ain’t about them. It’s about us; you and me.”
She wasn’t convinced at all, especially after hearing Rosa’s complaints about her. On the other hand, Ramiro actually did like her. He just didn’t like her parents; especially her mother. That was to be expected, but besides that Scotty acted like nothing was happening when everything around here was.
With the baby kicking some more, Lilly’s hand stroked her stomach; wondering about if this was now just a big mistake. Quite frankly, it probably was. Scotty practically rushed to propose to her so early into their relationship, which made her feel overwhelmed. It was clear that he didn’t really want to get married, or even be someone’s husband.
Yes, Scotty still preferred being single. Perhaps this wasn’t meant to be, but upon feeling the life inside of her stirring; Lilly knew that she was already cherishing every bit of her pregnancy.
Just then as Scotty went to grab another plate from her, it shattered onto the floor; as she grew angrier at him, “ JUST GO AWAY NOW!”
When he didn’t, the two continued yelling at one another. Until Scotty finally had left, he now was dealt with hearing the sound of his parents arguing. He couldn’t take it anymore, especially since this was his mother’s fault in doing.
After the plates were put into the dishwasher, Lilly walked out into the screened in porch and sat down. The sound of the rain now was a comfort, as she sat there rubbing her abdomen. Her baby didn’t need to be put through all of this stress. tbc..

The heavier the rain had gotten, the more that Lilly wanted to return home. She knew that this was a bad idea, especially now. Inside, things had seemed to worsen especially between her parents. Paul and Ellen now went from talking not even speaking to each other, after their latest fight. She kept on annoying him which almost had caused him to yell back at her.
In the midst of all of this, Scotty also had gotten into a fight with him. He now had knew that this probably wasn’t a good idea to even be getting married, especially with in-laws such as these two. Then there was the fact that Lilly was pregnant, he didn’t want to desert the mother of his child. Yet she too was also angry at him, but had seemed not to be ready to move on.
He had already expected that to happen, but now things now had seemed as if the wedding would be cancelled. Besides, Scotty had wished that he didn’t propose so soon. Secondly, he knew that both of her parents preferred Eddie over him. One that he was well liked especially by her father, and the other was the fact he was ready for marriage unlike him.
Perhaps they could simply just put the wedding on hold for now. When Scotty walked out to speak to Lilly she automatically blew up on him, “ Are you Crazy, we can’t just cancelled we already put money down to rent that catering hall out, plus the DJ,” as she went on with it. He mainly just ignored the rest of what Lilly was saying, until she had caught on, “ Why do I even bother, your worthless !”
“ What I’m saying is for now, I’m not ready for this marriage thing.” She knew that her father was right, but it was also a gut feeling that Scotty would eventually say that, “ You should have thought about it before this,” her eyes filling with tears, “ I hate you,” throwing her engagement right at him, “ Good thing that you didn’t move in, I don’t want you around my baby!”
Scotty stood there, his eyes looking at the ring that was now lying on the floor. He had screwed up, but yet couldn’t even tell her that he wasn’t ready until now. He didn’t dare follow her, knowing that Lilly would only yell more at him.
Plus with her being pregnant, that was another thing that he wasn’t ready for; becoming a father.
Upstairs, Ellen Rush heard the sound of her daughter’s tears. She for once decided to be a good mother, but it was clear that her child’s heart was broken. Sitting down, Ellen tried talking, “ You can do this one your own, I failed but you won’t.”
Lilly shook her head but wasn’t about to argue with her, “ It’s not that Mom, Scotty lied to me. Maybe it’s better if we’re not together.” She could feel the baby kicking actively, as Ellen too felt it. She knew that her grandchild was just as strong as its mother, “ Your father and I weren’t trying to stop you, we knew that he wasn’t’ right for you. I’ve been divorced four times already, I don’t want you to go through that.”

This is the turning point in this story, let me know if this is good or bad. Suggestions are always welcome, I'm in need of it..

If anyone could help me this storyline back on track, I would be appreciate it...
By the time that the next morning had come around, Lilly clearly had left before anyone else had. This had left, her father to drive her mother back home, which was something that he wasn’t even planning or wanting to do for that matter. Scotty sighed, before catching a ride back home with his parents. He knew that Lilly was beyond angry at him, more important now his parents were talking about him finding someone else.
It was a good thing that the two weren’t living together, but just after he had gotten home; Scotty tried calling her but had received no answer. He knew that Lilly had broken their engagement off, but she knew it was for a good reason. At home, she already started to make plans about her baby, which had meant giving it up for adoption.
She couldn’t quite possibly raise this child on her own, as Lilly now set in motion what had to be done; in order to give up her child. There was no doubt in mind that she loved it, but knew that given the situation this was the only logical thing.
When Lilly finally came back to work, she heeded no attention on her partner. It didn’t matter now, all she knew was that it was over. Scotty could see a drastic change in her, “ Lil we need to talk?” “ Got nothing to say to you at all, got it?” He still didn’t know when to keep his mouth shut, “ Just wanted to ask you about how the baby is?” Lilly continued reading something inside of a folder, “ I’m giving it up, I’m signing some paper tonight at my lawyer’s office.”
This was big news to him as Scotty’s eyes had widened, “ Over this, are you nuts Lil. You wanted to be a mom for so long, what are you going to say when the baby gets older and contacts you? What we had a big fight and it resulted in giving it up?”
He moved forward, “ You really want this baby to feel rejected, that’s what it is feeling right now.” Lilly shook her head, as she ignored another wild craving for onion rings and salsa. In between that the baby was actively kicking hard inside, but she tried not to think about it.
To be continued, I'm might not..

I've decided to continue with this story, here's part I of the next chapter...
Somehow this was all just a one big nightmare, or was it? As Lilly awoke she glanced over at the calendar; staring at it in disbelief. It was just exactly two days before this whole weekend would being, but now she knew that there was no chance of that happening. Grabbing her phone, she instinctively dialed Scotty’s number.
At his place, he turned over before grabbing it, “ Yeah?”
“ We’re not going this weekend,” came a familiar voice.
Scotty groaned, “it’s 2am Lil, can’t you think of another time to call me about this?”
She sighed, “ Just cancel it alright, got too many things to do before the wedding.”
With that she hung up, leaving Scotty to turn back over and fall back asleep. Even by morning he had forgotten to call his parents, which left her in a tailspin. Lilly being Lilly, blew up on him before storming off.

It was just exactly two days before this whole weekend would being, but now she knew that there was no chance of that happening. Grabbing her phone, she instinctively dialed Scotty’s number.
At his place, he turned over before grabbing it, “ Yeah?” “ We’re not going this weekend,” came a familiar voice. Scotty groaned, “it’s 2am Lil, can’t you think of another time to call me about this?” She sighed, “ Just cancel it alright, got too many things to do before the wedding.”
With that she hung up, leaving Scotty to turn back over and fall back asleep. Even by morning he had forgotten to call his parents, which left her in a tailspin. Lilly being Lilly, blew up on him before storming off.
However when he did, Scotty breathed a big sigh of relief in knowing that his parents had indeed cancelled this weekend. What he didn’t like was having dinner with her father and his family; knowing that Paul wasn’t fond of it in the least. Scotty tried to go with the flow, but yet found himself unable to go due to an interrogation.
Lilly was beyond angry, but instead went to her father’s house for dinner without him. She could have cared less about what her financee had thought. Things were indeed getting worse, and still Scotty didn’t even pick out a tuxedo to wear to the wedding.
Plus with her sister now in jail again, it also complicated matters. In the midst of everything, Kat had jus found out that she was pregnant with ADA Bell’s kid, which was something that the two were now overjoyed by. Besides that, Scotty feared that Lilly’s mother would just crash their wedding purposely. He knew that invivting her was wrong, but yet at the same time ; knew that she was his future mother in law.

This is another short chapter, if anyone could suggest something I would appreciate it.
Three months later
Making sure that Scotty actually has his tuxedo… Check Remember to remind Mom not to fight with Dad…. Check Remind Mom not to drink… Check, Check, Check, Check
Lilly was now six months pregnant, and very close to her wedding day. They had moved up the wedding a month in advance, in order to prepare for the birth of their baby. Already Scotty was getting cold feet, but yet didn’t want out.
Remind myself not to spend anymore on buying baby supplies until after the wedding is over… Check Remember to ask why Kat had to throw a baby shower on the night before I’m supposed to get married… Check Ignore my future mother in-laws calls … Double Check Ask why Rosa had both my mother and father both sitting at the same table… unchecked.

I suggest that you make them get into a big fight before the wedding, but then they make up a few days before it.
