While not proven we can't quite say it's not true. When George delivers that line, Lilly does get more notably upset. If not raped then she was probably molested by the guy. After all her and George could be considered each others shadow archetypes in a way.

I doubt that Lilly was, but being emotionally and physically abused absolutely. Lilly clearly fits that profile down to a tee

posting twice, sorry about this but I just found something interesting on tvguide.com The series, which is on the bubble for renewal, concludes its sixth season with a strong two-part episode in which Lilly investigates the 2005 murder of a local military academy's first female cadet. The victim's body is discovered in a buried foot locker, and the probe reveals that the freshman continually drew the ire of her fellow male cadets, school officials and obnoxious alumni. Music from Pearl Jam's legendary 1991 debut album, Ten, is heard exclusively on tonight's hour and next week's finale. —Tim Holland www.tvguide.com/News/Tonights-TV-Hot-1005601.aspx

Huh. If a show has seven songs (I think) I wonder how they're going to use songs exclusively from Ten. I have to go with the idea that five songs will be used from that album. (and I think I read somewhere that they'd be using more than five songs.)

Some of this isn't new news but scroll down, there's some juicy spoilers for the next episode When Cold Case set a recent episode about biker gangs in 1976, the producers didn’t have to rely solely on feathered hair to evoke the year—a well-placed song by Peter Frampton showed us the way. For a 1981 story, Devo did the trick. For this season’s two-part finale (airing May 3 and 10 at 8/7c on CBS)—which sheds light on the backstory of Kathryn Morris’ guarded Det. Lilly Rush—executive producers Jennifer Johnson and Greg Plageman needed just the right aural DNA, and they found a match in grunge gods Pearl Jam. “We’ve been working all season to tell Rush’s origin story, why she became the first female homicide detective [in Philly],” says Johnson. “And Pearl Jam is a band that has gone through its own evolution. They were the perfect fit.” With the band’s approval—Cold Case producers had access to the band’s entire library—Pearl Jam joined Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and John Lennon to breathe life into the show’s tales of murder and mayhem. “When we do these single-artist episodes, they have to be artists that have a large volume of music,” Plageman says. “As we dug into all [Pearl Jam’s] albums, we found great tracks. They may not have been released as singles, but they worked perfectly in flashbacks.” Case in point: the slow-burning “Once” off the group’s debut album Ten. The hard-charging rocker has front man Eddie Vedder howling “I’ll relive it without pain” over a childhood flashback of Lilly Rush. “She’s riding the bike her father gave her, and it plays a big part in her relationship with her parents,” Johnson says. “The song almost [feels] like it was written” for the scene. Johnson chose the somber “Nothingman” to illustrate the strained father-daughter relationship at the heart of the episode’s cold case—the 2005 murder of a female cadet. The song is heard as the father sees his daughter for the last time. The bittersweet ballad “Black” scores the final montage. “It’s a moment of redemption, of hope, of resolution,” Johnson says of the scene with Rush and her dad. “We planned on using that song from the beginning.” Case closed. www.tvguidemagazine.com/music-on-tv/cold-case-rocks-with-pearl-jam-862.html

Thank you very much for posting this, LII2! Sounds very, very interesting! In which episode was this bike first mentioned? Seems like I missed this.

The bike was first mentioned in " Libertyville", about geting it for christmas. However Lilly also mentioned about the bike in " One Night" back in S3 how all alone she had felt and how free she did when she finally was riding it.
