Officer Down was rather recent too, Eduardo, and everyone's given it best of the season, except you. The personal recent eps are usually good and this has got a lot of Lilly's backstory in it. Should be interesting at the very least.

Officer Down was rather recent too, Eduardo, and everyone's given it best of the season, except you. The personal recent eps are usually good and this has got a lot of Lilly's backstory in it. Should be interesting at the very least. Are you sure? I'm gonna quote what I wrote on That thread One of the show's best episodes ever! I did not like at first but later I was about to cry,not as I cried with my all time favorite Shuffle Ball Change but I was gonna cry.
Some details and questions -Episode showed how hard is cop's life -Cooper moment -The creepy guy from Street Money... I hated him so much -This episode showed us how the team also works in Warm cases -Vera was flawless - loved Lilly -Real life of high crime areas was shown -A DETECTIVE SAW THE VICTIM. OH YEAHSecond time in the season since I re watched the odd Jackals and Lilly did not see the one who's name we shall not say -Flashback with time... Cool -It's cool they want to show us new things like in this episode or Witness Protection but I mean, sometimes It's cool too to see the classic things -Stillman Time! OH YEAH -Kat with Veronica in the end... Yeah! -First actual case only in cc history -1966 flashback! I love 60's -The moment where Lilly said to Scotty Cooper is his dad and he knew it!!! OH OH -Flashback and directing was excellent -Some people said Chris Silber was not a good writer. I hated some episodes he wrote but This one was a home run -The emotion of the final shooting between Gabriel vs. Scotty/Lilly -The friendship between Vera and Will.... EXCELLENT! -Lilly in the end crying Cute!!! *I loved this episode
*****QUESTIONS***** 1-Did Pops want the gun or not? 2-In the scene where ADA Bell was speaking with Lilly: she said something at the end that he did... about his dad or something... 3-Is Lilly atheist? She did not want the St. Jude thing 4-The video was not clear. What did Scotty see on the video that incriminated Gabriel? something on the shirt 5-Why Lilly cried in the end? Because she shoot Gabriel? SHE HAD TO!!! Thanks [/b][/i] Scotty/Frankie- Can we finally get rid of her already, she's just useless? May I add that Jefferies saw the victim " pops" at the end. I hate her so muchOh Yeah but my favorite final montage this season is Shore Leave still ;DI did find it interesting how the flashbacks were from several episodes, now everything fits together like a puzzle. I just remembered one from Jackals... Not too many other from other episodes exactly. Maybe general flashbacks that we don't know when exactly took place[/quote] As you can see ... I DID VOTE FOR ONE OF THE BEST OF THE SEASON

It shouldn't matter when the episode is set. What matters is the strength of the script and interplay between the detectives and the characters for the story. I would gather that the reason most people like the older cases is for the music, which is just fine. I happen to fall into that category as well, although sometimes when they mix historical events into the episodes, I find them twice as compelling.
But to almost write the episode off because it's set in 2005 rather than 1945 or whenever, without having even seen it, smacks of being silly.

I also enjoy recent cases: I was part of the 20% who liked Witness Protection and as I quoted: I absolutely loved Officer Down. The point is that when we begin to see too many recent cases: It can be annoying so many cases that are recent

eduardo- Don't judge a book on it's cover, it may be a recent case but you and everyone else hasn't seen it. So you can't assume that you are going to hate it..

I said that sometimes I like new cases and sometimes I don't. That's it

New cases with a lot of character development is a good thing; it's good to see how Lilly became a homicide detective.

Exactly, I think it'll show how difficult it still is for women to break into predominantly male-dominated fields. Maybe we'll get a little depth to Lilly that we haven't had yet.

We know that one of the reasons why she became a cop is what happened to her when she was ten, but character backstories are always good; especially about Lilly

yes: It'd be good to show some things about her we want to know.

Hey, nice to see Lilly in jeans and a t-shirt. Girl is always so buttoned-down!

Thanks for posting those - it looks like we'll get another team moment ;-) I wonder if maybe Kat is the one they're cheering for...

Who's the dude on the left? It looks a bit like Louie, but I didn't see him in the credits for "Stealing Home". Just some random background dude?
