Everyone's talking about all these happy endings they want happening. Dude, I want something that jumps the shark, and not just any shark either! I'm talking a huge fifty foot shark that would require a lot of WTF to even jump over. I want Lilly and Scotty to find out that they really are related as half siblings. Please, don't ask me how it'd work, they could come up with something. But, Lilly and Scotty would find this out separately and would go to see the other one to tell them. But before they reach other, a murderer would come in and shoot Scotty. Lilly would find him, and tell him not to die. With his last dying breath, Scotty would say, "Lil, I've always loved you as a -" and then he dies. Lilly would then scream "NOOOOOOOOO!" at the heavens, plus "Damn you murderers! Damn youuuu!" And then Lilly would become an assassin, but her primary goal would be finding Scotty's killer. *IS SHOT, AND SHOT GOOD* That was so Guiding Light

I could see three things happening.
Lilly as LT. Rush sitting behind the desk
Down at Jones both Jefferies and Stillman celebrating their retirement
The last scene shows Lilly looking up to seeing the victim, that would be a good ending for me

hehe!! ;D Really cool imagination Rev!! ;D ;D
(Out of the fun, it would pretty interesting if something happens to Scotty this season, not death but something, seeing his reactions and the others' reactions, too.)

My other idea was that a UFO crashes into the precinct at the very end.

How about..... Atticus Finch takes over the precinct. Lilly gets "Taken" like in the movie Scotty tries to save her.

Scotty tries to save her. I'm kind of tired of seeing Scotty always trying to save Lilly, what about Scotty get a promotion to another squad instead.

Rocks fall. Everyone dies.
The End.

oH, yes! Scotty gone I like this idea! Sorry, but I disagree. I admit Scotty is sometimes quite a macho type and is a bit complicated, but I think he is a very interesting character and I like the chemistry between him and Lilly as partners and friends. And I also think that if he had not insisted on going into the headquarter by himself in "Stalker", we would have already lost our main character. Which obviously wouldn't be a good thing. But, as everything in life, it's a matter of personal flavor and opinion. And a proper ending? Well, for me it would be enough if they solve a complicated and emotional case, the victim can rest in peace and another box is put away with a bold lettered "CLOSED" on it. I think that would be suitable as an ending for the whole show. Maybe - what I'd like to see - is the team going to Jones together after closing the case. And we see them enjoying themselves. Yes, I'd definitely appreciate that.

But, as everything in life, it's a matter of personal flavor and opinion. I agree with you... Also, as KM has stated, in this show everyone is a bit perfect, not many downsides of the characters, not many reactions off the edge. Scotty is mainly the one who, with his macho and arrogant behaviour, adds tension on the show. He has dark sides. In fact, in my opinion, the writers could have dragged many things out of his character... (Instead of puting annoying Frankies and leaving us with questionmarks...!) Scotty and Lil's match as partners is elegant and excellent, something rare in series. And, of course, guys, any show needs a hot man walking around...!! ;D ;D

anyway, I think the should would have been better with the other guy (Justin Chambers) I disagree, but remember Lassing has to leave he needed all day work because of his diabetes. Anyways I think Scotty and Lilly make better parnters than Lassing did.

How did you coclude this? I mean he never seemed racist. He lashed out on people, yes, but there was an involvement of a personal matter: the guy after Elisa's suicide, the pedophile and John Smith. He misbehaved to one more, too, in one of season's 5 first episodes, but I don't think it was because of the comment but because of his nerves due to the IAD. He isn't very religious, too.

Where was it ever mentioned that Scotty is a conservative right-wing extremist? As far as I know we've never heard Scotty talk politics. Also, of what I remember Scotty has never bashed homosexuals. Pedophiles, yes, but given what happened to his brother it's understandable.

I never got the impression that any of the characters were conservative, right-wing, or extremist. Could you give us an example?
