Look Again Music Video Challenge # 1!
“Struggles of a Philly Homicide Detective”
(Best Detective Video)
Create any main character
(Rush, Valens, Stillman, Vera, Jeffries, Miller) [/i][/b] WINNER:Bragging rights with video placed a top the Fan Art Main Forum. And special notation under Look Again handle name. Look Again Members will vote for best video entry. ENTRY RULES:1. The theme of the music video must be related to some aspect of one of the main characters of Cold Case whether it be work or personal life or a combination where they have encountered some personal struggle.
2. The music video can be as short as 2 minutes to as long as 4:30. Entries longer than 4 minutes and 30 seconds will not be accepted (4:30). We will accept slide show videos into the competition.
3. The Look Again member submitting the entry MUST be the original creator of the video. You must include your Look Again username in the actual video footage either before the video or at then end of the video. (If Look Again determines the video is not authentic, the entry will be disqualified).
4. You may utilize some audio and/or video from sources other than Cold Case but at least 90% video content should be from Cold Case.
5. No more than two video entries per Look Again member will be accepted.
6. All members of Look Again may participate in the video challenge including Look Again Staff.
7. Entrants are permitted and encouraged to use YouTube website or other host sites for this contest so that voters can view the video and please note to refer anyone viewing your video to come to Look Again:

to register and place his/her vote. Please clearly mark in the Tags or Description at the host site that this is the “Look Again Video Challenge Contest # 1".
8. To enter this challenge, send a private message only to Naj containing:
* the name of your entry
* a link to the site where voters can view your video entry. If you are not using YouTube or other streaming video site, please supply the link to the web page where your video can be downloaded for viewing.DEADLINE:to submit “Struggles of a Philly Homicide Detective” contest is Midnight (Eastern Standard Time) on Sunday, August 31, 2008. VOTING:1. Once the links to all the entries are posted, Look Again members will have two weeks to make a selection and post their vote. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! I'm excited about this! I have a question if that's okay.. If I were to choose Lilly, Could I only choose one thing that's happend to her? Because well she's always having a bad time, and for example if i chose Lilly's whole being shot thing there wouldn't be much to use, so could it be her whole bad luck kinda thing? :]

Lilly has struggles with relationships, Scotty has anger issues. Scotty's had girlfriend issues, however, I don't think you would want to combine the anger issue and the girifriend issues although you aren't dis-allowed to do so. And for Lilly it could be one or all or any number of her b/f's. I'm not saying it's black and white as I think part of your creativity in making the story of your video is in how well you convey your story which should be emphasized by your video title. Does this answer your question? |

 I have to think, too. Do I really want to lose with a slideshow? There's no way to determine that a slideshow wouldn't landslide a music video. The only way to know is to enter it. I've seen some slideshow vids out there that knock many non-slideshow vids out of the ball park! edited for spelling

I have to think, too. Do I really want to lose with a slideshow? It's not about winning . Vidding is all about expressing yourself . It's about losing your mind to analyzing these characters closely by studying their every movement and body language to make a great video in order to honor a fantastic show. The reason it's so fun in the first place is because you feel like a little kid again by putting together a jigsaw puzzle carefully, peice by piece. At least that's what vidding means to me......it's a break from studying for an hour or two just to relax. |

For me, it's really frusturating, because no matter what I do, it doesn't look good at all. Everyone's video looks that way when we all first start out making them. Vidding is a learning process . It also requires problem-solving in terms of how you want the effect to work like. The best way to make better and better videos are just by watching a ton of other fanvids ;D. This is one of my verrrrrrrry ooooooolllld videos. I still laugh at it  . It's a trip down memory lane  . So don't get discourage . If you work at something, you'll only get better at it. There is no key to sucess, it's just work, work, and work. Sucess is not a god-given talent. A talented athlete is not talented because he/she was given the "skills". They are talented because they dedicate their life to their craft. It is just Work. |

I think that I might actually have something good! For a part in my vid, I made the pictures go by so fast, it looks like its a video clip, but it's really not! And I end on a good pic, too. I just need those therapy screncaps to fill in the middle part! I've wanted to do this vid for a really long time, since January. |

That's the spirit, lolgirlyy! ;D I'm hpping there are some vidders out there because we've never held one of these contests before because there didn't seem to be to many fans out there making them.
