Eddie is a controversial character: a lot of Cold Case fans hate him, a growing number of people is changing opinion, two or three rejects of society loved him since Bad Reputation.
I wonder why.
Sometimes I have the suspect that Saccardo's antipathy was created with purpose.
My impression is they were in a hurry to condensate an ambiguous character into two episodes: in the first we have a bad boy, in the second he is not so bad; the result is what we see (a bad job).
I have another theory, but I have no time...
What's your opinion?

In Ghost of my child- I did see something to the effect that Eddie truely cares about Lilly; but just look at her face I don't think she hates him at all.

I don't see them having a brother/sister relationship - it's gonna be a love/hate one.

I kinda liked him in 5x16; but I don't think I'm a ''reject of society.'' It was ironic...I liked him in 5x16 too!  Second theory. Maybe spoilers and the rumors about the new guy provoked an excessive expectation: a "love interest" for Lilly must be interesting, a nice man, a good lover and so on; Eddie was just the opposite (maybe for the reasons I explained this morning, who knows!). I think this factor contributed to make Eddie more hateful than he deserved. I watched Bad Reputation the day after: when I read the (bad) opinions about the episode I restricted my expectations; that is why I thought: "Saccardo is not so bad". Maybe. |

I think they like each other but like Kayli said it'll be a love hate realationship. Hopefully he'll be in more then a couple eps so they can take their time and fully show progression if they are going to make it a ship.

Sorry I missed your post LII! I still can't believe you ship LE! Lol. I'm still puzzled by it:)
If Lilly and Eddie don't hook up or if they breakup like they usually do with poor Lilly. Will you go back to being a hard core LS shipper again?

I ship LE but it's like in the back of my mind i'll always want LS as much as I know it won't happen, their moments will make me smile :]
With Lilly & Eddie, I really don't want them to do the same thing they did with every other guy, there for a few eps and then dissapear, it really doesn't give us the chance to see if we like him, let alone start shipping him & Lilly.

I agree. All of the others have came and gone so fast. By the time we really got to like them they were gone. I hope if they do go down the path of romance with Lilly and Eddie that he sticks around much longer.

I am still shipping for Lilly and Ray ^^, but I'll take Lilly and Eddie together only because Eddie is similar to Ray. Although, Eddie is less hotter than Ray  . Hehe our Lil loves bad boys xD. |

I'll take Ray if he comes back but I do kinda agree with LII that Lilly needs someone not from her past.
And I've gotten the biggest crush on Bobby Cannavale!

For me, it's I'd like them to get together, even want them to, but I've been a L/S shipper since the first few eps I ever saw (late season 1) so going from a HUGE L/S shipper and suddenly turning Lilly/Eddie just couldn't happen for me, because I'm always gonna be LS, and do a little fangirl squee at any Lilly & Scotty moment!!
