Haven't got gas lately but I'm cringing everytime I pass a gas station. Think BP is higher than Texico or Mobil in my town, the prices are a lot higher at BP.

It used to be that New Jersey was about $0.13 to $0.25 cheaper than Pennsylvania. About a week ago, New Jersey raised their fuel taxes so it's now about the same as Pennsylvania--about $3.55/gallon for regular unleaded. I don't know why NJ did this. One would think it's best to not raise fuel taxes when the price of fuel rises sharply like it has.

I heard South Carolina is cheaper think they don;t have taxes on gas like Jersey, I could be mistaken. Here where I lives it's pretty expensive even for Diesel

There's a great website for everyone to check out --> www.gasbuddy.comIt shows where the highest and lowest gas prices are in your area. At the gas station down the street from us, we pay $3.19 for regular. I kinda wish we lived in Tulsa, OK though.....they're paying less than $2.30 for regular!

Same gas station now has regular at $1.69 and there are some gas stations further down the road where gas is $1.54. My what a difference a month and a half makes! Hell, gas in Independence, MO is at about $1.30 or so a gallon for regular.

I track my MPG with a cool site called "Ecomodder.com" -- I was updating my fuel log after my last fillup and I was looking at my previous entries:
07/08/2008: Paid $4.09/gallon 12/01/2008: Paid $1.84/gallon
Now just 5 days later, the price at the same station is $1.74/gallon!

It's amazing how fast gas prices have been falling. There are some that speculate gas could be below $1 a gallon in some parts of the country by February.

That's true, but it really has nothing to do with the point I was making. In fact, lower gas prices are the direct opposite of what you said.

I think that there is a conspiracy going, seeing as gas prices started to fall immediately after I took my car off the road to go to college. Something fishy there, I tell ya.

lol trublu... here in my country now there are even more cars on the street... more traffic jams with cheap gas Quite! This cheap gas isn't actually a good thing for the environment. I do quite love being able to use public transportation and not have to pay for gas at all. Much better for the air!
