Ok, so I'm confused here.... I do believe many people across this board have infact quoted Brennan Ellott to be back for 6 eps. But don't quote me on that..
How many did he appear in? Like 3, maybe 4?
Now, call me a dumb-ass, but doesn't 6 minus 4 equal 2? Keeping in mind, I was more worried about my weekend plans during Maths than I actually was my school work. Probably why I walked knifes' edge on every test. Hm, yes, where are the other lost eps?
Should we look for them on some deserted island?

We want closure, not a hospital make-out goodbye. (Not that I'm complaining).
So how's Ray gonna grace our screens again? Other than on a motorcycle. Anyone got any thoughts on that one?
Personally, I think he's gonna find Cali a little lonely, knowing he's more than a few hours ride away from his favourite blonde detective.

I want lilly to be happy, but I also want her to be happy with a MAN! ;D |

well one reason I like seeing Lilly with a guy, is b/c that is another time we get to see her, I mean, she is THE show, so if there is something personal going on, we can see her there and at work
and another reason is she picks REALLY HOTT GUYS!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
and she seems to spill stuff out about her past life to these guys, and i want to find out more about her

I'm with ColdCaseGirl! I'm dying for Ray to come back! At first I thought 'aww he's cute' But when Lilly was visiting him at the hospital and they talked about the time he made her a milkshake when she got attacked at the age of ten I realized that their relationship goes way beyond physical attraction. They have a connection that goes back to thier childhood. And oh boy when they kissed- they gave me butterflies. They just have to bring him back.

Wait! Don't throw me out of the barf bag club yet! I very much prefer Ray to Joesph, but I don't want him to become some steady, syrupy, eternal burning flame of love. I think he makes a good booty call and is always considerate enough to leave afterward, not to show up again till next time.
Periodic sex for Lil? Sure, let her have it. Love that makes her turn all soft and gooshey? Pass my barf bag please.

As usual, I agree with sonny. But I also love these storylines because they reveal more about Lilly and give her more screen time (as others have mentioned). Plus, her story with Ray is loaded with drama and angst and that always makes for good TV.  |

I'll chime in on this thread ... I've been away from the board for a while, so forgive me if I haven't read all the threads in all the folders as to everyone's thoughts on Ray ... Speaking only for myself, and having been a newer viewer who has done her best to catch up on the show, I still feel exactly as I did last season: I cannot stand Ray. I do not want him around. I do not buy into the whole "we have a connection from long ago" angle. For me, that seems to be a pretty damaged one at best, and not in Lilly's best interests if she really - and truly - wants to a) change; b) not be alone. Ray rides in and out of Lilly's life ad nauseum and makes her act like some sort of love-struck teenager, which to me, is playing old and tired at this point. I find Ray selfish and completely inconsiderate of Lilly's existing life. He is alway expecting her to ride off into the sunset with him, to drop HER life so she can go and do whatever HE wants - as if they were both still 12 or 18. I'm sorry, but what is that about? If he really was so "connected" to her and they shared this "bond," you'd think he'd not keep asking (or suggesting) she, essentially, dump her job / life to become his Biker Girl. He'd figure out a way to be there in support of her being "top murder cop" - which he always KNEW she wanted to be. But no. It's always, "Let's go, Come with me, Forget all this, What they heck does that other guy know ..." - all, to me, just total disregard for her existing life. And, the fact he seems to only show up a) when he needs a booty call; b) needs to use her to bail him out of his own life is just ... well, not indicative of someone who, to me, is truly in it for the good of BOTH individuals. Sure, was he around when she was 12? Yes. Was he the only thing she perhaps cared about then and/or made her happy? Perhaps. Did they have some whim of an idea to run off and get married? Apparently. So what? They seem to be the furtherest thing from each other at this point, and every time he rides into town, I feel like Lilly takes 8 steps BACKWARDS as opposed to trying to get on with her life. Most folks know I supported the Joseph storyline. And I still do. I'm not happy with the way the show handled his exit, turning him from loyal guy to out of her life in a blink of an eye. I didn't need the sap, but I did appreciate the effort of having someone genuinely interested - or so I thought - in creating a partnership with her and/or who was not going to cripple her ability to perhaps grow a little bit and get on with her life. Some people didn't like this, and that's fine. I did. And, even though Joseph has exited for now, I appreciated he put Lilly in her place about the fact that Ray is NEVER around - perhaps suggesting he never really will be no matter how much time elapses, or how many rides into town he makes. If anyone has seen the horror film Wolf Creek, I personally wouldn't mind seeing Ray take a ride out to that crater and/or the Australian Outback and disappear for good. But as of now, if he never comes back from California, or never rides into Lilly's life again, I'll be happy. Again, this is JMHO. I do not mean offense to those who support the character or the storyline. |
