Lilly's wardrobe

Lilly is one of the most well-dressed working women on TV. She's classy without going over the top. :smile39: I look for many of the clothes she wear on the show when I go shopping, and I've adopted her "two-shirt rule" for work, most of the time.

Let's talk about her clothes... what do you all like most?

:smile69: Well, it's public knowledge I like that black coat from Mindhunter... the one with the burgundy lining. My own special fave. Too bad I've never found anything like it around these parts (and yes I have looked). :smile25:

I love everything she wears. Her work clothes are smart yet still very stylish and as I've probably said before I really like the style of her shirts. However I like the clothes she wears out of work more [the red dress is a controversial issue though!!]. Her green jacket she wore in Ravaged and the one with the red kind of lining in that she wore in Late Returns are really nice.

I liked her Season 1 look better. But I may like her S 3 look even better from the caps we have. Notice those very male sturdy black shoes.

I LOVE the way they keep Lilly very professional. It drives me crazy when TV shows dress men in suits and women in low cut tops and short skirts. It's very unprofessional, and most people would get fired if they showed up to work wearing something similar. Lilly's clothes are professional, but they're also cute. Of course, someone tailors the suits to Kathryn's frame, so they always fit her exceptionally well, but I like the way they give her shape and don't swallow her up. Some of my favorite pieces:

* The long black coat with the pink liner (yes, me too Disasterfreak and soccerulz). I have a similar one that I've had for several years and I just love it. It's warm and versatile and it looks good on everyone. I hope the black coat makes an appearance or few this season.

* Her scarves. I'm a big scarf person, so I tend to notice them on other people. They make a great functional accessory, and I love Lil's.

* That blue V-neck from "Ravaged." It looked great on her, and I almost fell out of my seat when I noticed they put another shirt under it to make it less revealing. When was the last time you saw that on TV? Cute shirt, and it looks good with a lot of different things.

Lil's style is a lot like mine. Simple and basic. I don't tend to follow trends, as I'm more of a what looks good on me and isn't going to go out of style person. Her wardrobe seems to be filled with great basics that you can mix and match.

Here are some things I'd like to see on Lilly (most of them in her off-time obviously):

* A more figure-flattering dress than the now infamous red dress. Something like a simple modest black dress.

* Jeans. She's worn them once or twice, but I'd like her to wear them more, simply because they're the staple of most people's wardrobe.

* Fewer button up collared shirts at work. They're cute, but they seem to be in heavy rotation. I love her other shirts, and would love to see more of those.

Hello, this is the Byrdman just coming at you today. I hope you are all doing well, and that you are having a great weekend as well.

I just wanted to give my two cents on this topic. I am a guy, first of all, so this analysis may be a bit flawed or incomplete , but I like everything that she wears.

Lilly is a very intelligent girl, and her clothing compliments that. She is ready for work, and shows up professionally for every episode. Her clothing shows her nice figure, but is not too revealing, and I feel that she does not have tio flaunt her figure in order to get results. She is just a smart girl, and her intelligence shows through very well in every episode.

Also, I like her casual wear as well. Again, not too revealing, but relaxed. Her gear just rocks, and I am very glad to see a girl use her intelligence and use it to her advantage in life and in dress.

Well I went on a shopping mission to find Lilly clothes today and came back empty handed. There must be some info out there somewhere about where she gets her clothes from!!!!

I'll be doing alot of HD caps for the upcoming season... I was thinking it would be cool if someone could take the caps and make collages of "Lilly Outfits". So for like ep. 3.02 you would have a hi-rez collage of all the outfits that she wore in that episode, all in one picture.


By the end of the season, you'd have a neat little collection of photos of wardrobe she wore during the season.

i think my favourite clothes of hers would have to be

the coat ;D,
the dark blue shirt,
the hat she wore in the begining of mindhunters and all the rest of her clothes EXCEPT the red dress - i hated that.
