Hey I'm not gonna slug you DF! [*He, he, he*]
I'd like to see her hair up once in a while. And I do agree with you about season 1 Lilly. They are repeating season 1 over here at the moment and they always show it after a season 3 episode so it's funny seeing the difference in Lilly. I did like her toughness in season 1, and she did seem much happier back then. But then a lot has happened so I do understand why she is like she is now. Maybe the hair down is meant to symbolise that she cares for it less than she did before. Back then she would have to wash, dry and put it up; now she just washes and dries it! The fact that it happens to look well groomed is just coincidence [and the fact that it's a TV show so her hair couldn't possibly be left looking to much of a state!]

...I noticed in one of the tv interviews she did she said "The hair down is a symbol of her opening up after the George incident". God, I wish they would put it up again though. Then again, I wonder if "Hair Up Lilly" is "Normal Lilly" and "Hair Down Lilly" is "Shaken Up Lilly"? Maybe as Lilly gets farther away from the George incident, she may decide to put it back up again every now-and-then? Like right now, it matters that it's down, but later it won't matter either way? Does that make sense? I'm just waiting for "Mullet Lilly" myself.... Ha ha ha!

Kinda stupid--you run into a serial killer and then suddenly you wanna let your hair down. .... She's much too soft and contemplative now. I still like her, but I miss her gutsy, snarky, butchy hair-up persona. ;D Ha ha ha!!!

I don't think we will see it up again as she also stated in an interview that the producers thought that the audience was forgetting about the show!! Pity that though!!!

I also noticed that under her coat with the pink lining, she was wearing that jacket with the blue lining that has some kind of pattern on it. She wore it the season premiere. Oh, hell I'll go screen cap it for y'all - brb! EDIT: Here you go. You can only just see it though. It's more clear in the episode so go watch! ;D ;D

Hehe. I feel kinda funny about what I did to that coat in my fanfic, considering how much I like it. It may be kinda sick, but I'm having one tailor-made. I just like it too much. Always did. Mine's gonna have RED lining though--not hot pink. I'm just not a hot pink kinda person. You know? Lilly looks good but there's something about her make up that bothers me. She's too white and her blush is too pink. It looks fake. Gosh I'd like to grab that girl sometime and do her make up myself. She should so be using more 'tan' colors.

DF: I KNOW! When I read what you did to that coat in your fic, I actually shouted to my computer "NO! NOT THE COAT!".....my cousin looked at me like I was insane! Haha.
Oh yeah! I forgot you were having one tailor-made. A red lining huh? That'll look good!
And about the make up - I don't know. In some scenes I think the 'pale thing' works - but in others it just doesn't for me.
Sonny: Girl, I can NOT believe you caught that! Haha, never in a million years would I have seen that.....I've gotta go rewatch that scene....

Sonny: good eyes! I don't feel so weird now that I know women are looking at Lilly as much as I do... DF: I think sometimes they go "too white" also. I have to keep reminding myself, "OK, they're trying to make her look like she lives in Philly, not California." TVF: My eyes popped out of my head when I saw her in that form-fitting purple shirt! Thanks for the caps! Her guy-favorite purple short also made an appearance: I screencapped those for my blog yesterday.

Hehe. I feel kinda funny about what I did to that coat in my fanfic, considering how much I like it. *HISS* You're not the only one who felt "funny" about it. The pink-lined-coat is the TRADEMARK of the Lilly character! It's after all been following her for two seasons... I mean, people even go out to find it (or have it made ).

Just read through this thread for the first time. It's fun to see what you all had to say about Lilly's fashion style. I am a big fan of how she dresses as well and have been lucky to find some of the clothes she wears too ;D. Well, not the exact same things, but similar ofcourse. It's funny because I found a cool waist coat thingy and was all excited, but then after a little while it became this "fad" here and everyone was wearing them . But I think the best thing about her clothes is that most of them are pretty "mainstream" as in not too hard to find, so I've found several buttoned shirts and blouses too that are very Lilly'isque . I hope we can keep this thread alive next season .

It's all bunched up and old-looking...I guess she is better at picking out guy clothes, but she has gotten better with the girly clothes...I LOVE the shirt she has on in "Joseph" when Scotty comes over to her house..the blue one, it's fabulous ;D

Just a quick question...what ever happened to the vest looking things she used to wear earlier on this season? All of a sudden POOF they're gone. I happened to like them....i thought they added just that bit of feminimity to her character. I wanna see them back!!

Well... I'm a bit late, just got to the party! But I wanted to say I'm a huge fan of the red/pink/burgundy (what colour is it really?) coat. I think it was gorgeous! I love coats though. And where I live, you only get to wear them about two months of the year! (Off topic, but I have an awesome green velvet coat with green stripes inside. It was the lining that made me buy it!). Meanwhile, I'm a fan of the big belt buckles too. They're a little manly, but they're kind of cute. As to the hair (which probably has its own thread that I just haven't found yet lol) I think it's great up or down. Although I have to say down is growing on me. Especially since she can do that flick back thing with her phone (as seen in the infamous drunk dialing scene in, um... that's right Beautiful Little Fool). Okay, so there's been reference to a red dress. Obviously I haven't seen this ep; what is this red dress you speak of?!? Does anyone have a cap? Because if everyone's mentioning it in a negative way, I'm sure it's not fabulous and... Well, call it morbid curiousity. I want to see this fashion faux pas!

I love that too jambled, a very cool movement indeed ;D. Sorry, I don't have a cap of the red dress (which I don't recall as being that horrible, but I am probably wrong...and senile), but I bet someone here has one
