Perhaps this is what bothers me as well ... just sort of let's-get-together-and-hit-the-sack is so one-dimensional. I felt there was more to work with in "Joseph" than at any point in "Dog Day Afternoons." I don't mind Lilly's flaws, her making not so good choices, having to wrestle with her past ... but when she seems to have had a revelation and is ready to be done with it and "change" ... seems contradictory, for me, to go backwards rather than forwards. Perhaps they forgot what they wrote in "Beautiful Little Fool" ... ? LOL!  Also, I know folks lust over Brennan's "hotness," but that, for me, is not enough of a reason to care for a) his character; or b) his storyline. A hot guy with little or no backstory other than a line here and there that he was supposed to run off and marry Lilly at 18 does not equate to much of anything other than eye candy ... and for me, IMHO, that's not interesting. Perhaps I'm just too old. LOL!  I am totally with you on this LillyKat. Are we going to see Lilly make some bad choices? What about her promise to herself? To us? Also, as stated in the Brennan-thread I never really got into Ray as a character. I found the whole "we just like him 'cos he's hot" annoying and he was a pretty superficial character to me. Had no essence and didn't match with Lilly at all in my opinion. But maybe we'll get to see other sides of his. Maybe they will make him a bad guy, someone who hurts Lilly in some way. Argh, just guessing/wishing here . (For my self defense I'd like to say that YES I have swarmed for the guy over in his thread, but that is in connection with The 4400 where he plays a great character. That made a huge difference to me). |

I couldn't agree with both LillyKat and tiger_lilly more. Sure, he's hot, but so are a lot of people. We need to know what else Lilly likes so much about him that she's still smarting over the fact that he's "the one that got away." This holds for me as well. Brilliant tiger_lilly! |

you see, this is why I think ALL crime shows should be like 'Law & Order: SVU": straight crime/procedural drama and little hints of personal/romance stuff. That way you know they're all human beyond the job but that the main reason you're watching is THE JOB.
six ray episodes? joseph too? Oy vay. Meredith, ditch the damn soap opera, please.

Entertainment Weekly's annual Fall TV Preview issue is currently on newsstands, and it offers some insight into S4:
New time slot (post Amazing Race, pre-WAT); new showrunner, Veena Sud; and a new romance for Kathryn Morris' Lilly in season 4. "She's found a good man, " says Sud, "who has a history much like her own. She's in the throes of this great relationship, but it doesn't last long. An old lover comes back: the infamous motorcycle man, Ray (Brennan Elliot). So Lilly will have to make a choice." Expect more episodes featuring music by just one artist (a la last season's all-Springsteen hour), and bold new cases: "We're coming in with a huge episode for the new time slot -- a mall shooting," says Sud. "It flashes back to 1995 when these kids go into the mall and open fire. It's going to be a real shocker." (Sept. 26th)

Right on with the whole one artist episode thing! I loved 8-years and the whole Springsteen thing. I'm all for it. And as much as i'm smitten with Ray, i must admit i thought him to be a little selfish during Dog Day Afternoon, just expecting Lilly to pick-up and leave work with him all spontaniously like that. Somehow, i'm thinking spontinaiety is just not Lil's thing...Hmm, wonder why?... But if he is to return and muck things up between Lil and Joseph, i don't think Lilly'll be falling back into his arms just cos he's shown up again. But fingers crossed things work out best for Lil. |

I hope Lilly makes the right choice and goes back to Joseph!! He seems like the one who will be there to support and Love Lilly .
But the music by one artist sounds very interesting , I wonder what it will be??

Well, we know that Joseph will only be there for 5 (or was it 6?) episodes, so they are probably going to break up SOMEHOW...I just can't imagine Lilly choosing Ray over Joseph (I wouldn't ). Maybe she get's fed up with both of them somehow and decides to go solo again. Who knows. |

I just can't imagine Lilly choosing Ray over Joseph (I wouldn't ).. Me either, Joseph seems like the type that would settle down plus the fact he is a counselor which in fact could help her in the long run emotionally. They just seem so perfect for each other. |

I have a big feeling that Lilly would choose Joseph over Ray. Joseph's much more reliable and could help her emotionally deal with everything. Plus the fact I think she would be much happier with him
