I watched the Close to Home pilot. Pretty good though the previews gave everything away. Story was good and the characters are great. I'll be watching this show for accuracy seeing that it is set in Indianapolis. I live two and a half hours away but am there frequently. The scenery shots of Indy don't look accurate. I also highly recommend this show.

I saw this, too. Jennifer Finnigan is a darn good actress. It had kind of a CC feel to it -- a woman is the star of the show, she's outspoken, she confronts abusive husbands, etc. It also had some similar crew members -- I looked at the credits and the Cinematographer was Eric Schmidt (CC Season 1), and the "oddly familiar" musical score was done by Michael Levine.

Good evening everyone, Hello, this is the Byrdman coming at you tonight. I hope that everyone is rocking and rolling through their Saturdays, just like I am! Hey, I just wanted to get back on this show, I FINALLY got a chance to see the premiere tonight (another busy week!). Excellent show, I thought. Jennifer Finnigan is very beautiful, and she makes a very convincing mom and District Attorney as well. And this show is set in Indianapolis, of all places. Very inventive and interesting setting, I must say. Well, I have the premiere on my dvd recorder, and I am saving it and I will next week's episode as well. I would recommend seeing this to anyone who likes Cold Case. It's another strong girl as the lead. Granted, their situations are different. The girl in "Close To Home" is married, has a child, and is a DA. Lilly is none of those, but just another strong female lead. Just cool, I think. I would definitely recommend this show to everyone as well. Take care, and thanks for your attention, everyone. Have a great night!

I watched the re-air of the show on Saturday, and I thought it was pretty good. Not A+ material, too predictable in spots, but I absolutely love Jennifer Finnigan, so they get bonus points for that. I'll definitely be tuning in. ;D

It's a great show, but I will offer a disclaimer. Being someone from Indiana, I must say those things simply don't happen in Indianapolis like that. But it's just a show.

I finally got a chance to watch a full episode of this one last week, and I must say I'm impressed. It did have a CC touch on it, like irishkale said. I'm not sure yet, but I might add it to my favorites list

It's worth watching. The cases take place in the suburbs instead the city. And a lot of Cold Case guest stars have turned up on the show.

I just wanted to say I've already added this show to my faves. In only 2 eps, it has really impressed me. It has a CC feel to it... and right now I'd say I like it even better (might be the novelty though--or the fact I'm not liking CC too much lately). CC is still my number 1, but mostly out of sheer loyalty. These are the only 2 shows I'm following this year. Jennifer Finnigan's a great actress, I love what she projects. Can't describe it, but I love it.

It is a good show. Of course, I'm biased because the setting is in my homestate of Indiana. But the cases are good and the plot twists are great.

I recently noticed that the same composer does both Cold Case and Close To Home!

Spoilers Below - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When the two went into the office to tell Annabeth, I thought they had discovered her husband was one of the 500 customers downloading the porn off the webcams. I can't believe they did that. Almost every CBS crime show and drama has done this. Though I can see this move since the husband wasn't always there. On Ghost Whisperer, Melinda's husband is there in every episode. Of course, that show's bold move wasn't much better. To have a character die on a show is one thing, but to have every show on the network doing it sort of tells me, "Lack of Originality".

Yep, you are right R2k, Melinda's husband has been in every episode, the same with the show "Medium". I didn't think of when they came to tell Annabeth I was thinking either something happened to the baby or her hubby. At least in CSI, Las Vegas, the detective didn't die. NCIS was a shocker, not that anyone died, but the main character, Gibbs, just quit. But you are right some shows are lacking originality.

OMG--they killed the husband??? I'm like 3 eppies away from the finale. How rude!!! I shouldn't have looked in here, forgot you'd got the finale already. KILLING OFF THE HUBBY! It IS lacking originality. Plus there goes the happy homelife. I sorta enjoyed that. Now she's gonna be a grieving widow... geez... JB is overdoing the drama element in his series.

DF, I'm sorry. Should have indicated it was a finale spoiler. I could actually hear you scream that out. It came right at the end, very swiftly. I feel for Annabeth. Now she has to do it alone. And it's not like she can hook up with an old boyfriend. One became a defense attorney and is with someone. She convicted her prom date to 30 years. Of course, this where real drama begins. Seems like CBS is really shaking things up. And with Cold Case coming up tomorrow, anything can happen.
