Did anyone see the new show "Lost"? Wow!!!!!! That show was good and very interesting. Heck, call me a chicken but I thought the show was a little scary.
I have two concerns though. 1) How are they going to keep the story lines going? The premise of the show seems more for a movie than a TV show. 2) Because it is an intense show I feel the show should be aired either at 9 or 10 pm. Otherwise, the show is good and now it's another show I can't miss.

I watched it last night too. It was really good. I was wondering the same thing 25or6to4. It seems like a premise that would work very well for a "limited series" like The 4400, but I'm wondering how they'll continue to make it work for a regular series. I know Gilligan's Island had many successful seasons, but they're different shows. It will be intersting to see how this plays out.
Did anyone else think of Jurassic Park while watching this show? I have no idea what the "thing" in the woods is, but it just sounded like the T-Rex in Jurassic Park. ;D

Yeah, I was talking about "Lost" and not "Loss". It's pretty obvious that I can't type a post and respond to an IM at the same time. I was starting to get myself confused. ;D
From what I read, at least 12 survivors on that show will be the focus, so that leaves the remaining 36 survivors as "bait".

I'm hooked. Didn't expect it to be as scary or well done as it turned out. I'm not a fan of J. J. Abrams other show, "Alias," but this show is great. Then again, only one episode has aired and they did have a $5million budget for the pilot, which is ridiculous in my opinion. We'll see how future episodes compare.

I was a little bored in the beginning of the past ep (Part 2 of the pilot), but then it got really good. The polar bear? How bizarre! I'm dying to know what that's all about. I didn't see the twist with the handcuffs coming. I never even suspected Kate! That radio trasmit from 16 years ago....yeah that REALLY freaked me out! I made the mistake of watching this ep right b/f I went to bed, needless to say, don't do that! I was freaked out for about an hour afterwards. The plot thickens, and I can't wait find out what happens.

Oh, I'm hooked on this show because it's very interesting. There seems to be a lot of twists and turns when it comes to the characters. I definitely didn't suspect Kate as being the criminal. Add the fact that the Middle Eastern guy served in the Republican Guard during the Gulf War, Charlie is hooked on drugs and he will be going crazy when he runs out of it. I wonder who they're gonna expose next week?
As for the polar bear, well that was interesting. I'm still thinking about what was it that put the pilot in the tree. A leopard? It can carry a prey two times it's body weight up a tree.
This is show is interesting because neither the characters not the place seem to be what they should be. A lot of twists to the plot.

I know what you mean 25or6to4. I think it's going to end up being something we don't expect at all. I wonder what's up with the Korean man and his wife(?). He's never nice to her and he seems very controlling. I'm still dying to know what Kate did to get arrested by U.S. Marshalls in Austalia. Very interesting...

I loved how they look at a character and flashback to right before the plane crashed and show what they were doing. How they show so many different points of view of the same event is something I'm very impressed with. When they found that transmitter at the end and were listening to it, I felt a chill go thru my spine. How creepy that it had been playing for 16 years.
The polar bear, Huh?
Just what kind of island is this?
I hope they continue to keep the suspense up and not give too much away with each episode. I've always found shows/movies much scarier not knowing what;s really going on. Keeps me drawn in.

Last night's ep was pretty interesting. I wonder what happened that allowed that man to walk again after 4 years? Oh, and was he in the military? Very mysterious. It was sad that they needed to burn the dead. Matthew Fox's character had a good point though, it was the best option out of all the lousy ones they were faced with. I wonder if he really saw a man, or if it was just an illusion? Maybe it's a passenger from the tail? I hope they can fix the radio thing and find the power source. Maybe that french woman is still on the island? So many questions, so few answers!

That was a good episode. I think Locke has been portrayed as a weird guy but I really don't think he is. I think I'm now starting to understand him. He was paralyzed and through a miracle (to him the plane crash) he can walk and live a life. Granted, he's also seen the "monster" that killed the pilot. I do think Jack is imagining the guy in the suit. I do believe it's someone from his past. I noticed that Jack didn't want to do an eulogy. He really didn't want no part of it. The decision to burn the bodies was a hard one but it had to be done. They didn't have a shovel, they couldn't send the bodies out to sea because of a few reasons, the boars were going to eat the bodies, and that the longer the bodies layed around the more it would stink and spread diseases. I thought the scene where Sayid gets the envelope with the pictures of a woman was sad. Who was that woman? His mother, sister or wife? It's a very interesting show. Two thumbs way up! 25or6to4

I am loving show... lot of questions that need answering and I like the flash backs as to leading how they wound up on this plane.. Yeah, something based on this plane crash must have jolted his spine or something to have him walk again And what did he see? I thought for sure if this thing was coming at him, he was a goner! and did he capture the boar or did the monster capture it for him? I hope they keep up the suspense on this.... I am really enjoying this :yep:

My guess is there are other people on the island but I don't think the person the doctor saw was real.
I like how this show can create jaw-dropping surprises with every show.
When Locke pulled back from that desk and it was revealed he was in a wheelchair, I was shocked.
I remembered seeing that wheelchair a few times after the crash but I just assumed it's occupant had died in the crash.
Also when the criminal from the plane was revealed a couple episodes back, it was the last person I expected it to be.
Looking forward to Jack, the doctor's background. It was very strange how he wanted nothing to do with the memorial service. Didn't even attend it.
Love the brother and sister. That was a smart dynamic to go with. She's so obnoxious and self-centered. Just love her attitude. It was sad though how she used Charlie for fishing though.

I'm thinking the same thing about how Locke got the boar. Right before the moster comes into view we hear the boar make a squeal and then the monster comes into Locke's view. So, did the monster give it to him? Did Locke kill it? Or did Locke find it already dead? If Locke saw the monster did why didn't the monster kill him? Things that make you wonder.
I can't wait till we see the backgrounds on the Korean couple, Sawyer, Sayid, Boone, Shannon and Charlie.
Poor Charlie. I guess he thought he was going to get some loving from Shannon when he caught that fish for her.

Me too Ryebeach! You're so right. Every week manages to surprise me. I am just dying to know what Kate did to get arrested. It must have been bad to have the law follow you to Australia. Like everyone else, I was wondering if the monster actually killed the boer. Why would he do this and spare Locke, but kill the pilot and all the people with the french woman? What is it about Locke that kept the monster from killing him? The brother and sister crack me up. They add a light element to the show that helps balance the heavier stuff (like the eulogy last ep). I'm completely sucked in to this show now. I even added it to my TiVo season passes!

Charlie is on a drug but as to what it is I do not know. It doesn't look like cocaine because it's brownish looking and not white, and it's not marijuana. Even though he rubs whatever it is on his teeth and gums (that's what it looks like) I think we can rule out Oragel. foujylos.notlong.com [/IMG] We will find out what it is when he goes through withdrawal which should make things interesting on the island. I feel a good story line coming up with this. Boone and Shannon are an interesting set of characters. It looks like they come from money but neither one really knows how to do something. Boone was doing CPR wrong on the lady even though he was a lifeguard. But, Boone is adapting and looks like a fellow that wants to learn and work. His sister on the other hand is a princess who has had it given to her. It looks like she's never lifted a finger in her life. Hopefully someone will smack her. This show is so interesting because the premise is different and that the lead characters all have different backgrounds which makes for a interesting show. I'm hooked that's for sure. 25or6to4

Okay, so we have one mystery solved. The strange man in the suit is actually Jack's deceased father! I wonder what happened to his body? The coffin was in tact, but empty. Maybe the airline lied and told Jack that they would fly the body, but in the end they didn't? Or maybe the version of his father he keeps seeing is a ghost? Interesting. It looks like Boone is going to challenge Jack for the leader position. He seemed to back down after Jack returned, but I bet we'll see this conflict boil again. Boone doesn't seem too content to simply follow. This should be an interesting dynamic in the future. I'm dying to know what Jack did to cause his father to run off to Australia. Also, I can't wait to find out what Locke saw exactly when he "killed" the boer? I love how this show is developing!
