Can you believe I finally got around to watching the ep from Thanksgiving night? :thud: Anyway, I actually really liked this episode. I thought that Mr. Dusick's past was fascinating and it definitely kept me guessing. I fell hook, line, and sinker for the painting storyline. I totally thought he was leaving it to his love. I thought the scenes from WWII were very well done. I really like history, though, so this may be why I really liked this episode. On a not-so-happy note, I'm really not looking forward to this week's ep. It seems that it is going to focus on Jack's personal life. Plus, it looks like there isn't going to be a case. I could be wrong, and I hope I am. I'm not really into the whole mopey Jack gets a divorce, so let's bring up his affair with Sam storyline. I'd rather spend the hour trying to find missing persons.

I missed the ep from Thanksgiving *mutters something about 'cheap vcr's* does anyone know if it is re-running soon? And im not looking foreward to the case this week either. Personally, if they're going to focus on Jacks personal life for a whole episode, i dont think it will be worth my time. It seems that their also going to bring up the affair, which i would like them to quash really fast. If he does anything to screw Sam... And where was the actual case? No where to be found *here case, here girl!**gets out catnip*

Here's how I feel...
I don't mind the personal stuff, as long as it comes in small doses. I don't like that the episode revolves around him, mostly because I don't like him anymore. I also don't like the fact that they're gonna bring up the affair unless Sam and Martin grow closer from the whole thing. I've hated Jack ever since he left Sam to go back to his wife and honestly, I'm glad she left him... he totally deserved it.
Anyway, I hope there's a case because as much as I enjoy the personal stuff at times, that's not the reason I watch the show. If I wanted personal, I'd turn to the OC. So, we'll see how it goes.

Yeah, i see what your saying. My 'relationship' with Jack has taken a plunge too. (Just Jack, Anthony LaPaglia's still doing great in my opinion, just to cover my bases) I think that Jack deserved to have his wife divorce him, since he cheated on her while they were still married, no matter how separated they were. And then in the same breath, he turned around and hurt Sam. In the words of Daffy Duck "Dispicable"

Did anybody else feel like the other characters were in the ep just to be in the ep last night? This episode was all about Jack just as we thought, and I just didn't like the random bits with the other characters. In fact, I wasn't a huge fan of the ep in general. Plus it seemed highly unlikely to me that they would just sit around and shoot the breeze and there wouldn't be a case to solve. Don't they have paperwork or something to do?
Poor mopey Jack. His wife drudged up all his old wounds, and in the process, he threw a chair through a glass wall (a little much IMO). This wasn't a bad episode per say, but it just wasn't a typical WaT ep. I don't see why they couldn't have had the team work on a case and inter-cut it with Jack's deposition. Oh well. I hope the show gets back on track next ep.
I'm glad Jack finally gave in. Maybe this storyline can come to an end now. WaT used to be one of my favs, but this season has not lived up to the promise of the previous seasons (in particular season 1).

Not one of my favorite episodes last night. I agree with you TV, they could have at least has the team work on a case and put a little of Jack in between. That said, im glad he finally stopped fighting. He decided that it was best for his kids to live with their mother, and he's probably right. The only problem that might cause is that it might make the kids feel that their father doesnt care about them anymore, and Jack will have to explain that to them.
One good thing did come from this ep (sorta) We learned a little more about Sam. Unfortunately, it was that she smoked pot in 8th grade, but hey. it was something. Although, she also mentioned that she is truely happy with Martin, which i take as a very good sign. (I didnt see Martins reaction to her saying this though, was it good?!)

Ok so putting aside the Jack storyline... YAY MARTIN AND SAM!!!!! Trublu- his expression was like "yes i agree totally and i'm so glad you feel that way." He smiled and they just sorta started at eachother.
I don't hate Jack as much anymore but personally, i feel like he chose the job over his kids. I mean, if I were in his position, I would've quit my job and gotten a job that had less hours and wouldn't pull me out of important things. Yeah, he loves his job, but whats more important? his job or his kids?
Whatever... MARTIN AND SAM! AHHH!

Well, I said in my last post that I hope the show gets back on track next ep, and it certainly did last night!
I knew from the beginning that the girl was pregnant, but I didn't know how it was going to all piece together. This story had me glued to my tv set. It was very emotional and gripping. The missing girl was very likable. I don't know why she thought that her mom wouldn't understand. Her mom seemed very understanding and caring.
I thought the flashback scene when the nurse found the girl and her new baby sitting on the stairs outside the hospital was very emotional. Man that scene was gut wrenching. I wanted the girl to bring the baby inside the hospital and make sure she was okay. I was really happy when they found them, and they were both okay.
I thought this was a very strong episode, and I hope they continue on in this way.

WAT was definitely back on track Thursday night. I also knew from the beginning that she was pregnant, from the way she was sitting on the bed in the flashback scene. But i agree, i didnt know exactly how it would piece together.
I think that her reaction to her pregnancy and her thinking that her mom wouldnt understand was partially due to the fact that she was pretty upset about her having sex in the first place. Another thing that may have influenced it... i think its just kind of some teens automatic reaction that their parents wont understand. Its not just about pregnancy either, it can be about a lot of different issues, homosexuality, for example. As much as our parents say we can tell them everything, there are some things that we decide are better if we dont say anything.

I agree, I really enjoyed the episode. I liked that it got back to it's original roots and didn't have the personal stuff. Although I like the personal stuff, I think I'd prefer if it were one in a while and not every episode.
I still hate Jack though. Sorry, I know that's pretty random but I do.

I still hate Jack though. Sorry, I know that's pretty random but I do. That's ok CC. Like you said, at least there wasnt a lot of personal stuff to weed through in this episode, especially after the last episode's.

I thought last night's ep was just okay. It didn't feel like a usual WaT episode. I can't put my finger on why, but it was just off. I wasn't glued to my screen like I was last week, and I didn't feel that vested in the characters, but I was empathetic toward the victim. I knew from the beginning that he was going to turn up dead.
It was a sobering look at the interworkings of the prison system. Scary to realize that the prisons are breeding harder and scarier criminals. The kid who ultimately killed the victim didn't seem like he had committed a serious crime, but now he goes down as a murderer.
Overall, hohum (much like the CSI ep before it).

Well, CBS struck again. In the promo, it said something about the case taking these FBI Agents further than they have ever had to go before... I spent the episode waiting for it, but it never materialized. They didn't do anything more than they usually do. Ugh CBS!
Anyway, I liked the episode. There were some twists that I didn't see coming like the father isn't really the father. I felt bad for the brother because he felt that it was his fault.
Overall, a good episode.

ok so i hope this doesn't sound horrible but for some reason, i found the missing boy really annoying... and it had nothing to do with his disability, I just thought he was mean and i didn't really like that he just ran away, like i prefer the episode when they have to figure out who took the person, why and where they are. this one was just looking for a lost boy and the kid wasn't really in any danger. blah, i did not like this episode.

I thought it was a decent episode. It kept me guessing, and there was quite a bit of Sam, so i was content ;D But like CC, i like the episodes when someone took them for some reason, not when they just kinda run off because, if someone had taken the boy, it would have been a LOT more interesting.

Totally agree with the actual kidnapping thing. The cases are far more interesting when the person hasn't just run off. Although, I think it's good to throw some voluntary missing cases in there from time to time as well.

I also agree with you TV, i think i may need to clarify a bit... I do like when they occasionally throw in a volunturily "missing" case, but in this case, the kid didnt really know what he was doing, and nothing really happened after, so it kinda lost the effect.

I liked last week's episode. I thought all the acting was really good and I loved the Sam/Martin stuff. I'm guessing the reason Sam doesn't want it to get out is because of Jack and I'm wondering why Martin doesn't see that. They did have a relationship... oh well, as long as they don't break up.
