I know we have a thread like this, but I thought we might make it a poll. I'm an american and I would vote for John Kerry because I believe in his politics more.

I'm an American also, and if i could, i would be voting for John Kerry. I think that anyone other than George Bush would be an improvement.

I was going to put a poll up a few weeks ago but decided not to at the time. ;D I, too, am choosing John Kerry. I didn't vote for Bush in 2000 because of his platform and nothing has changed so I've been waitng to cast my one vote again for a Democrat. ~Naj

I don't think last night's final debate was even necessary except for those that are just beginning to make up their minds on who to choose in the election.
I didn't hear the viewership but expected it to be much less than the others due to the baseball game.

According to Zap2it, ABC had the largest debate audience with 8.6/12, and Fox was second with their baseball coverage. As expected, CBS came in last with their coverage (blame Rather-gate). This doesn't give the cable ratings, and I know that FoxNews has been killing everybody with their coverage. Final numbers aren't in yet according to the article, but it seems like less people watched this one. I had it on, but I was working on other things. It seemed like more of the same.

Yeah. In my house, we were watching the Sox/Yankees game. ( our Sox lost!! :hammer: ) I've been hearing from many people that the debate really wasnt as good as the other two. I watched the news this morning, and i know i heard bush say at least ten times, in the highlights, mind you: "keryy has served in the senate for 20 years and has no record.." blah blah blah. that kinda annoyed me, hearing him say it over and over again. he made his point the first 20 times. *lol ive heard from some people that they even have debate watching parties. interesting *

Final numbers are in, and it looks like 51.2 million people watched the last debate. That puts it ahead of the second debate, but behind the first. Here's the full article. So more people watched than I thought.

51 million is pretty good considering a baseball game. I'm not in to baseball, though. It was just a rehash of the other two debates but I wanted to make sure I watched all three. ~Naj

Well, I haven't watched the debates but I already had my mind made up anyways. Did anyone see the Jay Leno show last night? He did a skit on the debates and Leno portrayed a moderator for the game network and it's show called "The Debating Game". It was hilarious. foujylos.notlong.com [/IMG] 25or6to4

I can't wait to see what Saturday Night Live does about the last 7 day happenings. I have to remember to set my tape tonight. {if i can remember to } ~Naj

Just checked my guide, and it looks like Saturday Night Live is doing a "Best of Jimmy Fallon" show tonight. No debate mocking! I saw their mocking of the first two debates and it was hysterical. I loved the VP mocking as well.

That cartoon is great Naj! I love how they take jabs at both candidates. Such a great light-hearted satire on the election and all the mud-slinging that goes along with it. foujylos.notlong.com [/IMG]

Thanks for the link Naj! I live in one of the battleground states and it seems like every day it's either Bush or Kerry flying in for a brief visit and when they visit their numbers go up but only until the other flies in. A vicious circle. Thank goodness there's only 1 more week to go.
