I noticed that most of you have been talking about PENSACOLA, which is about a something very interesting to me: the Marine Corps. I thought I might mention that I won't be around next fall (or even near a TV) to catch the second season of CC. As of May, I'll be 17, and I'm enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Meaning that I'll be off to recruit training in the late fall. Wish me luck!!!

Good luck stinger,
I hope you don't have to go on active duty unless that's something you really want to do.
BTW, is your handle named after one of the sea dragons of Pensacola? Bobby maybe?

Believe me, it is something I really want to do. Another thing is women marines aren't allowed in combat. They're very different from the other armed forces, a recruiter told me that. They pretty much guard things: people, top secret stuff, the US embassy in England.........etc. They work directly for the president, only the males go into combat. If I did have to go into combat for whatever reason, I'm not afraid. Seriously. After my four years, I have plans to join the FBI, which we also talked about. No worries, I know what I'm getting into.

It's great to hear when someone knows what they want to dedicate their life's work to. I didn't realize women weren't allowed in actual combat. What about some of the women who fly F-16's? and choppers/hueys? I wish you luck and keep us up to date in the upcoming months about things. I'd be interested in hearing! ~Naj

Wow! That's awsome! I wish I were as gutsy as you. Well, all I can say is good luck, but wow, what an amazing experience that'll be.
