Thanks richE.. you beat me to this lol ;D I will explain that the "lilly Ho" title was started by Naj and it was done awhile ago to those members who are big fans of KM. So Naj added some titles on certain members for fun. ;D Any other questions, you can post here or view our Help and Suggestions threads.  |

Boards use different software so if you are used to others it doesn't mean that this one works in exactly the same way. Probably one for someone else with more knowledge but I think it is just that that bit of text is treated differently from the text in the main body of the messages. The text is not checked for smiley codes in the same way so they don't appear. The rank (such as "Desk Clerk I") is based on the number of posts you make and has no effect on what you can post. Once you get past a particular number of posts (not sure what the number is) you will be "promoted" to "Desk Clerk II" then after that there are other police officer ranks. The moderators are exceptions to this, they are ranked as such regardless of the number of posts. |

I really need help with posting pictures... As ruda you should use an image hosting site like Imageshack. Here are some basic instructions on image hosting using the Imageshack site. It's free and you don't need to register, you can if you want but for most things it is not required.
Go here www.imageshack.us/Tick the little circle to the left of the word image next to the upload: options. Click on the top Browse... button. Find the .jpg file of your image on your hard disk and click OK. You will see the path and file name (looking something like C:\pictures\kathryn_acma_01.jpg) appear in the box to the left of the Browse... button. Then click the host it! button. Wait a little while. The page will change to a thumbnail of your image and a series of different boxes with variants of links to the image. For this forum you want the 2nd option that has the text Thumbnail for forums (1) next to it. Copy the contents of the box, it looks something like this (I've italicized bits and split it across 2 lines so it shows up here) : [URL=http://img111.imageshack.us/my.php?image=kathrynacma01tm9.jpg ][IMG ]htt p://img111.imageshack.us/img111/9006/kathrynacma01tm9.th.jpg [/IMG ][/URL ]and paste it into a post on this board. You may want to temporarily copy the contents to another text file. That then gives you something like this:  Which people can click on to look at in full. That's a simple wallpaper I put together by scaling and cropping a larger image. |
