R2K,
Try deleting your cookies. Let me know what happens.

Naj, this used to happen every once in a while. Now it happens every time. I'm going to try your suggestions. I could get on the chat room because it said I did not have access. I believe I had to log in from there and I couldn't log off to do it.

What browser are your using R2K?You do have to be logged into the Look Again board to get into the chat as the chat is not available to guests so I'm not sure why you are having problems getting into chat as you are stuck being logged on to the board already. anyhow let's try to work thru this and get the problem solved. Did you delete your cookies? Have you cleared internet history? Temp files? These are all things that should be under your Internet Tools/General Tab. ~Naj

I haven't checked the always tay logged in box. I was logging in where it shows right above the messages. The time to stay logged in option isn't seen there. I haven't been having any trouble today, although I have no idea where internet tools are located or the cookies. I really need to become more familiar with my computer. I'll let you know in a few days how things are going.

Hi R2K, If you go into Internet Tools, Options, and General Tab there should be a button to "delete cookies, "delete files" (temporay folders) and "clear history" here's a snapshot of what mine looks like to give you an idea. home.ripway.com/2004-12/230251/InternetOptions.JPG

Hi a2z, I, too, have logged off the boards and then sometime later came back and it appeared I was still logged in until I hit a link and tried to post. Then it shows that I'm not logged in. This usually occurs if I'm web surfing over a period of time and haven't shut down the computer but revisit while in the same session. Have you noticed this to be true for you? ~Naj

Oh Ryebeach,
When you select "delete cookes, and all the others and they clear---then at the end select the "ok" button.

I've encountered this problem with Internet Explorer. If you guys are using this browser, try this:
When you log on the board, don't log on above the messages. Click the Log in icon at the top of the board. This brings you to another page. Type in your info, and it brings you back to the main page. When you log off, just click log off at the top like you usually do.
This seemed to stop the constantly being logged on problem I was having. Hopefully this will help you guys as well.

Good point TVFan. I totally forgot about the easy login area of the board which is supposed to be eliminated with the Version 4 release. Everyone should be logging in with the buttons located right under the logo of the forum.~Naj

I have never had any problems logging off this site, however I did have trouble getting into chat on Monday. Don't know if everyone had trouble or it was just me. Trublu tried to help me but I still couldn't access it. When I clicked on the Live Chat link, it said "you are not allowed to access this board." I logged off and back in several times. I cleared my cookies and I restarted my computer at least three times and I still couldn't get in. Perhaps it was just a fluke but I thought you should be aware. The only thing I didn't think to do was access the site using one of my other browsers. I was using Mozilla Firefox. Maybe that was the problem.

Hi Ryebeach,
From what I know this board (ProBoards) is best viewed in IE.
The chat didn't happen on Monday due to a glitch. The room wasn't opened for you to get in. It wasn't anything that you did or didn't do.
<<<I do that every night before I shut down my computer. I have never had any problems logging off this site>>>>
That's good to hear. :thumb: You got to clear all that junk off your computer....
