Jack Sheppard, a young doctor at the Philadelphia Memorial with close-cropped black hair and honey-brown eyes, is talking to somebody on the phone. “Yeah?… Hmm… That sounds… enticing… Man, you sure know how to make a guy’s blood boil!” He chuckles lowly, then says “Well, gotta go back to work. Seeya tonight. Come prepared.” This last part added with a sultry smile. On his way down, he notices the picture of a smiling Tom hanging on the wall, and stops a minute to remember his friend and colleague, who had died in the tragedy of 9/11 with his wife Kate. If only they hadn’t decided to go by plane… He shook his head to dismiss the sad thoughts and went back to work. His patient this evening was a young girl, with wavy blonde hair and crystal blue eyes, who looked amazingly like that actress in that Teen SciFi Drama on TheWB. Well, except the fact she was obviously pregnant. “Hello, I am Dr. Shepherd. What’s the problem?” He asked her. “Just a check-up.” The girl answered. “I am Claire, by the way.” “Ok, Claire…” Jack said, “Follow me.” One or two hours later, Jack’s body was in a pool of blood in the back court of the hospital, while it was raining. At the Philadelphia Police Department, we see somebody placing a box in the basement of the Department's building. It contains Jack’s picture and leads to suspects and witness statements. On the box, it says: Oct '03 03-10 Sheppard, J. It was immediately archived and forgotten.

PART 1 – LAST RITES. Lilly Rush had just finished the paperwork on her latest case when Stillman arrived with a case box. “Hey,” Lilly said, “who’s the lucky guy today?” “A guy.” Stillman said as Scotty returned from his little trip to the bathroom. “Lilly, he’s Jack Sheppard. Bled to death in 2003, just outside of an hospital.” “Lucky guy indeed.” Scotty commented sarcastically. “I agree.” Lilly said. Then added, “What’s up? Mr. Sheppard’s daddy was big money?” “Actually, it’s more of a last wish kind of thing.” Stillman answered. “What do you mean?” Lilly asked. “It was his roommate and best friend who made us reopen the case.” Stillman said. “What did he do? He barged in and demanded it?” Lilly said. “No, he can’t do it.” Lilly stared at Stillman, puzzled by his words. “What?” “He’s dying.” Stillman continued. “And he wants justice for his best friend before pushing up daisies.” “Well, seen as we don’t have any other case pending by now, we could look in this.” Scotty said. “Thank you, thank you very much.” Stillman said, and it could have been just a trick of the light, but Scotty could have sworn there were tears gleaming into their boss’ eyes. Lilly took out the photo of the victim, which had obviously been taken during a vacation in some tropical island. “Hm…” Lilly commented. “What line of work was he in? Modeling?” “Actually, medicine.” Scotty said, while reading the file. “Jack Shepherd, 36 years old, spinal surgeon, only child of Christian, a doctor, and Mary, a housewife.” “Any witnesses?” Lilly asked. “No, but the last person to see Jack alive was, um… Claire Littleton.” Scotty read. “So, let’s go talk to Miss Littleton.” Lilly said, while taking her jacket.

Here it is, boys and girls, the new part!
Enjoy!!
PART 2 – CLAIRE DE LUNE?
Lilly and Scotty arrive in front of Claire’s house… well, hers and her husband’s.
They knock on the door, and Claire, looking as pregnant as she did in 2003, opens. “I don’t buy nothing.” She says with an Australian accent.
“Miss Littleton?” Scotty asked.
“Yeah, I am. Well, I was.” Claire says. “Now I am Claire Pace.”
“Pace as in Charlie ‘Driveshaft’ Pace?” Scotty couldn’t help but asking.
Claire’s appearance flashed to her actual one. “Yeah, exactly.” she answered. “What you here for?”
“Well, we had some questions to ask you about Jack Sheppard.” Lilly said.
“About time!” Claire huffed.
“What?” Lilly asked.
“You know, the case was wrapped up too fast for my liking. There has to be some secret lurking.” The young woman answered.
“Hm.” Lilly said, fling the comment away for later use. “You seem to have been the last to see Dr. Sheppard alive.”
“Not true.” Claire said. “His killer was the last person.”
“Anyway, could you tell us about it?” Scotty asked.
And she began.
-FLASH-
MUSIC: ‘Beautiful’, Christina Aguilera
[Spoken] Don't look at me
Every day is so wonderful Then suddenly, it's hard to breathe Now and then, I get insecure From all the pain, I'm so ashamed
I am beautiful no matter what they say Words can't bring me down I am beautiful in every single way Yes, words can't bring me down So don't you bring me down today
To all your friends, you're delirious So consumed in all your doom Trying hard to fill the emptiness The pieces gone, left the puzzle undone Is that the way it is
You are beautiful no matter what they say Words can't bring you down You are beautiful in every single way Yes, words can't bring you down Don't you bring me down today...
No matter what we do (no matter what we do) No matter what we say (no matter what we say) We're the song inside the tune Full of beautiful mistakes
And everywhere we go (everywhere we go) The sun will always shine (sun will always shine) And tomorrow we might wake on the other side All the other times
We are beautiful in every single way Yes, words can't bring us down We are beautiful in every single way Yes, words can't bring us down Don't you bring me down today
Don't you bring me down today Don't you bring me down today
“I was pregnant at the time, and my son’s daddy had fled as soon as I told him, so I was completely and utterly alone, and I have to admit, really scared.
I had gone for a check-up, as I was in my eighth month, and instead of Dr. Arzt, who was my doctor until then, I was visited by Dr. Shepherd, who told me Dr. Arzt was unavailable for the day. He didn’t want to upset me, telling me that my doctor had died in an accident.”
“An accident?” Lilly asked.
“Yeah,” Claire answered. “He inadvertently lighted up old dynamite and he was blown up. Anyway, Dr. Shepherd did the usual, and I was already up and ready to go, when he got a call on his pager, and when he looked up, his eyes were full of confusion.
Then, well, I left, and so did he.”
- FLASH –
“That’s all I remember.” Claire said.
“Thank you, Mrs. Pace,” Lilly said. “You’ve been of great help.”
Suddenly, they heard the front door opening and closing, and a voice calling “Claire, honey?”
“That’s Charlie,” she said to Lilly and Scotty, then said “I’m in the living room!”
Charlie stepped in a few seconds later. “Hello, do I know you?” he asked as his appearance flashed between 2003 and now.
“Don’t think so,” Lilly said as she extended her hand to the musician, “I’m Agent Lillian Rush, and this is my partner Scott Valens. We’re with the Philadelphia Police Department.”
“Pleased to meet you.” Charlie said. “But how can I help you?”
“Weren’t you at Philadelphia Memorial Hospital the night of October 11th, 2003?” Scotty asked.
“Yeah, that’s the night I met my Claire.” Charlie answered. “So you’re trying to find out who killed Dr. Shepherd.”
“Yeah.” Lilly said. “You remember anything from that night?”
“Well, come to think of it, I do remember something unusual…
FLASH
MUSIC: “Time Is Running Out”, Muse
I think I'm drowning asphyxiated I wanna break this spell that you've created
you're something beautiful a contradiction I wanna play the game I want the friction
you will be the death of me you will be the death of me
bury it I won't let you bury it I won't let you smother it I won't let you murder it
our time is running out our time is running out you can't push it underground you can't stop it screaming out
I wanted freedom bound and restricted I tried to give you up but I'm addicted
now that you know I'm trapped sense of elation you'd never dream of breaking this fixation
you will squeeze the life out of me
bury it I won't let you bury it I won't let you smother it I won't let you murder it
our time is running out our time is running out you can't push it underground you can't stop it screaming out how did it come to this? ooooohh
you will suck the life out of me
bury it I won't let you bury it I won't let you smother it I won't let you murder it
our time is running out our time is running out you can't push it underground you can't stop it screaming out How did it come to this? ooooohh
I had seen two people behaving in a strange way. One of them was a guy, tall and lanky, who looked like he was the cousin of Tom Cruise, and the other one was a woman, who had big frizzy hair.
Anyway, I couldn’t help but overhear that those two were habitual patients, and from what I’ve heard, they always were found some kind of surgical equipment in their stomachs.
They were walking looking around them, like they had something to hide.
The guy then said, “Why do I have to do it, Danielle?”
And the girl said, “We have to do it just once again, Ethan. Just once. Don’t worry.”
Now, seeing them turning their heads towards my direction, I thought they had seen me, and ran away like hell.
It wasn’t like, say, four hours later, that I heard about the murder. But at that time, I was already helping Claire go to her house, and unknowingly, beginning our existence together.”
“Thank you, Mr. Pace.” Lilly said.
“Can I ask you a favor?” Scotty asked Charlie.
“Sure, what?” Charlie answered.
“Could you make me an autograph?” he said, extending his notes. “It’s for my nephew.”
Charlie took the notepad and picked a pen. “No problemo, what should I write?”
“ “To my biggest fan, Scotty Valens.” And then, you know, your signature.” Scotty said, making Lilly giggle silently while Charlie complied.
“Your ‘nephew’, Scotty?” Lilly asked, once they were back in the car.
“Hey, it worked.” Scotty said, beaming with pride and securing the piece of paper inside a well-hidden pocket.
“Anyway,” Lilly continued, “we gotta check out these two.”
“And maybe, finding them, we’ll find the killer.” Scotty said.

Here is another part. (I have to get my Muses moving... they seem to be freezing... ) Marcovalenslassing PART 3 – MR. SAWYER. As they went back into the squad car, Scotty’s phone rang, embarassingly for him, to the tune of ‘You All Everybody’. Lilly giggled. Scotty just glared as he answered with a curt “Valens.” “Scotty,” said Stillman from the other end of the phone, “you over with the Paces?” “Yeah, and we have two new possible witnesses for the case.” Scotty answered. “Who?” Stillman asked. “Two abitual patients, it seems.” Scotty answered. “Some guy called Ethan and a woman called Danielle, who from Mr. Pace’s description seemed to be quite the habituèes there.” “Interesting.” Stillman commented. “But it’s better that you two come back to the station; there’s someone you need to interrogate.” “Who?” Scotty asked. “James.” Stillman said, like he knew the man. “James Ford, also known as ‘Sawyer’.” “’Sawyer’?” Scotty was surprised. “The con artist who turned himself in in 2003, got out a year later and is slowly dying? That ‘Sawyer’?” “That ‘Sawyer’.” Stillman answered. “Who happens to be my nephew.” “Oh.” Scotty said, his voice unreadable, and his mind confused on what to say. “Erm… in which hospital is he in?” “Philadelphia Memorial.” Stillman said. “Ok.” Scotty said, a little shaken as his boss hung up. “What’s up?” Lilly asked. “We’re going to Philly Memorial.” Scotty answered. “To interrogate the Boss’ nephew.” “Who?” Lilly asked again. “’Sawyer’.” Was the answer. “No.” she said, dumbfounded. “That ‘Sawyer’?” “That ‘Sawyer’.” He agreed, as he started the engine and drove to Philadelphia Memorial. As they arrived in front of the hospital, Lilly took out the polaroids of the crime scene and put them in her pocket. They walked to the reception and asked for Mr. Ford’s room; having obtained the information, they directed right there. Third room on the second floor; a single one. They entered and their hearts just cried at the sight of the man in the bed, carefully attended by a compassioned nurse, whose nametag on her pink scrubs read KWON, SUN; a rapid switch between how he looks like now and how he looked like in 2003 shows us the insolent beauty and allure his victims had been entranced by, but in his eyes and gesture despair and loneliness could be read. It seemed like something had eaten all his will to live. Sun said something in Korean to Sawyer and left quietly, bowing slightly to the two cops, in sign of respect. After having returned the gesture, our investigators sat on Sawyer’s bed’s right side. “You’re the cops who’re investigatin’ Doc’s death, huh?” he said, in a deep Southern twang. “Was that your nickname for Dr. Sheppard?” Lilly asked. “For Jack.” Sawyer answered. “Dr. Sheppard’s an idiot. Christian Sheppard, that is.” “So, James…” Lilly continued. “Sawyer, please.” He answered. “OK, Sawyer, could you please tell me if you remember anything about that night?” she asked. FLASH SONG: ‘I Don’t Want To Be’, Gavin McGraw I don't need to be anything other Than a prison guard's son I don't need to be anything other Than a specialist's son I don't have to be anyone other Than the birth of two souls in one Part of where I'm going, is knowing where I'm coming from I don't want to be Anything other than what I've been trying to be lately All I have to do Is think of me and I have peace of mind I'm tired of looking 'round rooms Wondering what I've got to do Or who I'm supposed to be I don't want to be anything other than me I'm surrounded by liars everywhere I turn I'm surrounded by imposters everywhere I turn I'm surrounded by identity crisis everywhere I turn Am I the only one who noticed? I can't be the only one who's learned! I don't want to be Anything other than what I've been trying to be lately All I have to do Is think of me and I have peace of mind I'm tired of looking 'round rooms Wondering what I've got to do Or who I'm supposed to be I don't want to be anything other than me Can I have everyone's attention please? If you're not like this and that, you're gonna have to leave I came from the mountain The crust of creation My whole situation-made from clay to stone And now I'm telling everybody I don't want to be Anything other than what I've been trying to be lately All I have to do Is think of me and I have peace of mind I'm tired of looking 'round rooms Wondering what I've got to do Or who I'm supposed to be I don't want to be anything other than me I don't want to be “I wasn’t there, but we phoned each other that night, because we had plans, and well… particular ones.” Sawyer said, stammering on the last part. FLASH “What do you mean by ‘particular’?” Lilly asked. “Well, he… I… we… hell, why do I have to hide it?” Sawyer said. “We were boyfriends.” Then he looked at Lilly, his eyes saying Just try and make any comment. “Ok.” Lilly said, unfazed. “So you were preparing a… hot night?” “Boiling.” Sawyer said, drawling the last syllable, a playful gleam in his eyes. “But while I was still preparing, the news of his death arrived. And I… I just sat down and cried.” Lilly couldn’t help being a little fazed. “Surprising, isn’t it?” Sawyer asked. “Fact is, with Doc dead, I didn’t care about what was going to happen to me anymore. Because, see, he’s the only one who has been there for me when I needed him and other things like that, since my dad killed my mom and then, realizing what he had done, killed himself out of shame and grief when I was 8.” “So you felt you had no-one anymore, didn’t you?” Scotty asked. “Yeah.” Sawyer said. “Anyone who can confirm you were at home?” Lilly asked tactfully. “Well, our… my neighbor Michael Dawson can, and did.” Sawyer answered. “His son Walter knocked at our door exactly at the hour they said Doc died.” “We will ask him.” Scotty said. “Thanks for your time, Mr Ford.” Lilly said. “Name’s Sawyer!” he called to them as they left. Sorry for the delay, but finally I have written a new part.
R&R, guys and gals!
PART 4 – MOTHER.
“Who’s next?” Scotty asked Lilly, once they were back to their car.
“Mary Sheppard.” Lilly answered. “Let’s see if she can tell us something more. And besides… Vera and Jeffries are going to talk with Mr. Dawson.”
And in a few minutes they were at Mrs. Sheppard’s.
“Well, Jack was a grown man, had his own life.” Mary Sheppard said as her appearance flashed to 2003 and back. “All three of them have. And our relationship with him has always been tense.”
“Tense?” Lilly asked.
“Yeah,” Mary answered, “nobody knew Jack, it was like dealing with a time bomb, and a very sarcastic one at that. But to be true, it wasn’t only his fault. Christian and his distance, and Derek’s overdramatics…”
Scotty noticed a photo on the dinner room table they were seated at, which showed a Jack Sheppard, an older man who with all probability was Christian, a tall and brown-haired guy who looked quite like Patrick Dempsey, and a black-haired boy who looked like he was from a completely different era from the others.
Under the photo there were two words in clear handwriting: My Boys.
Mary noticed it and said “Why are you interested in that photo? It’s just a family souvenir.”
“Well, it seems pretty recent.” Scotty said.
“Of course it does, it was taken in 2001.” Mary said. “If you want to know, these are Christian, my husband,” she said pointing to the older man, “Jack,” she pointed to him, “Derek,” the Patrick-Dempsey-look-a-like, “and our little boy, Johnny.” Here she pointed to the boy.
“Sad thing is, only one out of them is still alive.” Mary then added, and to Lilly and Scotty’s confused stares she said “Derek. Christian died of a heart attack in 2004 and Johnny was murdered a year before Jack, with the guy he had fallen for, Carson Beckett. They never found out who did it.”
“We’re sorry.” Lilly said.
“Anyway,” Mary said, “I only remember one thing from that period, but it goes to a few weeks before his death.”
FLASH
SONG: Elisa, ‘Almeno Tu Nell’Universo’
“Jack was keeping on saying ‘Damn it.’ Left and right, so I asked what was going on, and he said that two patients of his had sued him with the accusation of having forgotten a surgical instrument in them, but that he knew it was a scam, and he just had to find the evidence, but he didn’t tell me anything more.”
FLASH
“Hope it can help.” Mary said.
“It surely did.” Lilly said.
“Now that you’ve reopened Jack’s case,” Mary asked, “could you try to do something for Johnny, too?”
“We’ll try, Ma’am.” Scotty said as they left.

New chapter here!!
PART 5 – THAT NIGHT.
In the meanwhile, Wil and Nick had gone to talk with Michael Dawson.
“Hello?” he had said opening the door, as his appearance flashed back to 2003 and then flashed back to now. “How can I help you?”
“By telling us what you remember from the night of October 11, 2003.” Nick said.
“You’re from the PD?” Michael asked.
“Yes,” Wil answered, “I’m Agent Wil Jeffries, and this is Agent Nick Vera.”
“Well,” Michael said, “I don’t remember much about that night… you know, I had just met my son, Walt, who had to come live with me because his mother had died, and the whole situation was just confusing… but one thing I do remember;
FLASH
Song: ‘California’, Phantom Planet
We've been on the run Driving in the sun Looking out for #1 California here we come Right back where we started from
Hustlers grab your guns Your shadow weighs a ton Driving down the 101 California here we come Right back where we started from
California! Here we come!
On the stereo Listen as we go Nothing's gonna stop me now California here we come Right back where we started from Pedal to the floor Thinkin' of the roar Gotta get us to the show California here we come Right back where we started from
California! Here we come!
Walt had downloaded that song… you know, the one from ‘The OC’… and had been playing it way too loud, so I went into his room to tell him to turn down the volume, but he wasn’t there. He had decided – I don’t know why – to go and knock on out neighbor, James Ford’s door. He knocked just once, and then stood in front of the door. I went to him and was about to pull him back into our apartment when Ford, puffy-eyed, opened the door, said ‘Hi’ and then went back in.
FLASH
“That’s all that happened.” Michael then finished.
“OK,” Wil said, “thank you for your help.”
Then he and Nick went back to the squadroom; Sawyer’s alibi was confirmed, but other than that, nothing.
‘Oh well,’ Vera thought, while in the car, ‘we still have a few witnesses to talk with…’
And then rolled his eyes as he noticed the name of the officer that had investigated on the case:
Agent ANA LUCIA CORTEZ
‘No wonder this case went unsolved.’ Vera thought again, and was less than pleased when the boss called and informed them she was in the squadroom.
Anyway, she had to be called, and maybe it was better now than later.

PART 6 – CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND
A/N: Seattle Grace becomes Philly Grace
Nick and Will arrived to the precinct and noticed Ana Lucia had, as usual, seated herself where she wanted, and that was at Nick’s desk.
Problem was, Nick wouldn’t have none of it.
“Agent Cortez!” he almost screamed, “would you be so kind to let me seat at my desk?”
Her appearance flashed back to 2003 and then returned to the present as she just smiled evilly at him, with that ‘I’m-so-much-better-than-you’ attitude that had managed to piss everybody in the precinct so much that she was a lone agent, and not by choice.
“Agent Cortez!” Stillman boomed.
Ana-Lucia, reluctantly, got up and seated on the chair in front of Nick’s desk.
“Ok, Agent Cortez,” Will then began, “could you tell us something more about the Sheppard murder?”
“It’s all in the report.” Ana-Lucia answered.
“Yeah,” Vera said, “but we’d prefer to hear it from you.”
“Ok,” she said and began to recall.

SONG: “We Used To Be Friends”, The Dandy Warhols
A long time ago We used to be friends but I Haven't thought of you lately at all If ever again A greeting I send to you Short and sweet to the soul I intend Hoho ohohoh Hoho ohohoh Hoho ohohoh Hoho ohohoh Come on now honey Bring it on bring it on yeah Just remember me when You're good to go Come on now sugar Bring it on bring it on yeah Just remember me when
It's something I said Or someone I know Or you called me up Maybe I wasn't home Now everybody needs some time And everybody knows The rest of it's fine And everybody knows now Come on now sugar Bring it on bring it on yeah Just remember me when You're good to go Come on now honey Bring it on bring it on yeah Just remember me when We used to be friends A long time ago We used to be friends A long time ago We used to be friends A long time ago We used to be friends Yeeeeeaaaaahhhhhh Eeeeaaaahhhhhh Hoho ohohoh Hoho ohohoh Hoho ohohoh Hoho ohohoh A long time ago We used to be friends but I Haven't thought of you lately at all If ever again A greeting I send to you Short and sweet to the soul I intend
We used to be friends A long time ago We used to be friends A long time ago We used to be friends A long time ago We used to be friends Hoho ohohoh Hoho ohohohHoho ohohoh Hoho ohohoh
I had gone to talk with Dr. Sheppard, because I needed to clarify a situation, but as I was nearing the door I heard him fighting with another person, a certain ‘Derek’, which I later found out was his oldest younger brother. And they were fighting about something pretty important; I remember somebody screaming ‘I’ll kill you if…’, but I don’t remember which one of them, Jack screaming ‘You are a total drama queen, and the worst husband in the world’, and Derek snarking back ‘It’s not like your marriage went well either…’
That seemed to shut him up.
Later, when he got out, I tried to talk with him, but he just brushed me off.
FLASH
“That’s all.” Ana-Lucia finished.
“Thank you, Officer.” Will said. “You can leave.”
In the meanwhile, Nick was scratching his head, a sign of nervousness in him.
“This is getting real ugly, real fast.” He commented.
“Don’t tell me that.” Will answered.

Here, after long and hard work, is...
the new chapter!
Enjoy!
PART 6 – BROTHER.
“So, if we believe Agent Cortez, there was a heated discussion between the victim and his lone surviving brother that night.” Lilly said.
“Yes,” Stillman simply stated, “and he’s waiting for you in the interrogation room, while Nick and Will will go have another chat with the only eyewitness in this case, who happens to be the victim’s cousin, Ray Sheppard.”
“This keeps on sounding like Dynasty gone postal,” Nick stated.
“Excuse me, Boss,” Scotty asked, “but is anyone looking for the two people Mr. Pace has described us?”
“Nothing yet,” Stillman answered.
“Thanks,” Scotty answered as he followed Lilly out, “ring me if you find them.”
“I will,” Stillman answered again.
In the interrogation room, Dr. Derek Sheppard, MD, was lightly tapping his feet, his face asking clearly ‘What the hell am I here for?’, and when Lilly and Scotty entered, he asked “How could you believe I killed my brother?”, his appearance flashing to 2003 and back to present.
“Whoa, calm down, Dr. Sheppard,” Lilly said in a calm tone, “we haven’t accused you of anything.”
“Yet,” Derek shot back.
“What’s your problem?” Scotty asked him, “Something to hide, maybe?”
“Well…”, Derek mumbled, “it’s not what you think.”
“What are you talking about?” Lilly asked.
“I bet that… incompetent told you about my fight with Jack,” Derek said.
“Yeah, she did,” Lilly stated, “and we’d like to know why you didn’t.”
“I felt ashamed at the time…” Derek answered, “The last words I said to him were ‘Go to Hell, you damn %#$%’…”
“But now you can tell us, right?” Lilly said, trying to be sympathetic.
“Yes, I can,” Derek said, his eyes gleaming with unshed tears.
“He had found out I was cheating on my wife Addison with an intern…”
SONG: ‘Seven Nation Army’, The White Stripes
I'm gonna fight 'em all A seven nation army couldn't hold me back They're gonna rip it off Taking their time right behind my back
And I'm talking to myself at night Because I can't forget Back and forth through my mind Behind a cigarette And the message coming from my eyes Says leave it alone
Don't want to hear about it Every single one's got a story to tell Everyone knows about it From the Queen of England to the hounds of hell
And if I catch it coming back my way I'm gonna serve it to you And that ain’t what you want to hear But that’s what I'll do And the feeling coming from my bones Says find a home
I'm going to Wichita Far from this opera for evermore I'm gonna work the straw Make the sweat drip out of every pore And I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding, and I'm bleeding Right before the lord All the words are gonna bleed from me And I will sing no more And the stains coming from my blood Tell me go back home
“Derek, we need to talk,” he said as Meredith – that was the girl’s name, I saw her for a while but ended up deciding to stay with my wife… I realized I still loved my wife at my older brother’s funeral… - got dressed and got away.
“About what?” I asked him.
“About the obvious fact that you have been cheating for a long while on your wife with that anorexic stick, that’s what we will talk about,” he said in a tone that admitted no replies.
So what did I do?
I replied with “Oh, please, don’t tell me the usual.”
He asked what I meant, and I explained; “I mean your Politically Correct BS; oh, this is wrong, you can’t do it wah wah wah. SHUT UP!”
He shook his head, scratched his head, and smiled darkly, “I notice you’re as overdramatic as usual, Derek.”
“What are you talking about?” I asked.
“I’m talking about the fact that I’VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU! YOU’RE A TOTAL DRAMA QUEEN, AND THE WORST HUSBAND EVER!”, he screamed in rage.
I fought fire with fire and I screamed “WELL, IT’S NOT LIKE YOUR MARRIAGE WENT WELL, EITHER! HOW CAN YOU BE SUCH A SANCTIMONIOUS %#$%!”
That shut him up for a while, then he spoke again.
“A %#$%?” he asked me, and then grinned sarcastically, “Does Addison know… yet?” he asked again.
“I’ll kill you if you say a word of this to her,” I menaced.
“Oh, don’t worry, I’m not gonna tell,” he said, “it’ll come out of you, as usual. You’ve never been good about keeping secrets, have you Derek?”
Then I basically kicked him out of the office, and he said “Next time you decide to destroy your marriage, please do it away from my office.”
I just screamed at him “Go to Hell, you damn %#$%!” and slammed the door close.
FLASH
That’s pretty much it,” Derek said.
After Derek had left, Lilly and the unit were toying with an idea: “Do you think he did it?” Nick asked.
“What gives you this idea?” Scotty asked him.
“Well, Sheppard was stabbed and left to bleed to death. Maybe it was an accident, and the brother, believing him dead, ran away.” Nick explained.
“Somehow, I don’t think so,” Lilly commented, “That guy doesn’t really strike me as somebody who takes action, he’s more of a… well, of a whiner.”
“So, who do you think we have to look for?” Nick asked her.
“What about those two that were mentioned by Charlie Pace?” Lilly asked him, “Did you find them?”
“Not yet,” Jeffries answered.
“I don’t know why, but I think they will be the key of everything…” Lilly said.
