Seeing as I’ve watched the majority of Cold Case on HBO Max, I’ve always wanted to know what episode people always go back to. Personally I love “8 Years” for its creativity and melodrama esque flashbacks, “Family 8108” for Ray’s hope and Billy’s letter at the end, “The Road” for the killer to be proven wrong through the victim of the episode’s hope and pure will, and “The Good Death” for one of the best character development a victim’s ever had.

I think it would have to be "Mind Hunters", "The Woods", "The Road" and probably the Season 4 Cliffhanger "Stalker" because they are all strong Lilly Rush stories with some exceptional acting from Kathryn Morris.

I'd second Acanthis' list above. I'd also include Into The Blue which is such a tour-de-force hour for Kathryn too and love its psychological insight into Lilly's mind. I also love Officer Down too and the finale Shattered.

Plus I do have a soft spot for the series finale "Shattered" which was so 'out of the box' yet it cemented her partnership with Scotty Valens (which wasn't really a partnership at all until season 6), reconciled her with her sister, got rid of that stupid gun given to her by Eddie Saccardo (probably the worst character ever to have been in the show and certainly her most non credible love interest) and brought Lilly back to the central core of who she was, after all that vigilante nonsense at the start of the season. Not to mention it also gave closure to Jeffries over the Wanda Johnson case and left the show in a place where an eighth season could have been possible. Alas CBS did their usual trick of cancelling anything decent.

I have a really hard time picking an all-time favorite, but 8:03 AM, Wednesday's Women, Best Friends, Daniela, and The Woods all hold a very special place in my heart.
