Back to watching the Original: The L Word.
As I got a late start to the internet today after last night's finale aired, what did I read on Twitter and forums?
Much confounded posts from fans who have a show runner not on the same page. And, now, in season two such a dwindling audience of over 200,000 viewers who exited when they didn't get their viewing needs met in season one. They simply exited. Rightly so. How can one watch something so foreign to them. So"off track".
There was simply no real convincing premise to divorce Tina and Bette. Rumors were that Laurel was available all of Season 2 yet her screen time and lines were so limited. As well, so were the camera angles.
The fans hyped themselves up convinced TBTB would deliver in Season 2 and reward their allegiance (35,000 left). But no, it was not delivered.
Come back a third season for more crumbs per Marja.
Marja, there are only 35,000 left. Why should they trust you?
I am so glad this second season has concluded. It was the worst experience I have ever had watching a series. As, I have said before, I don't need Marja to tell me who Bette and Tina are and that they should be married.
They ARE already married. I accept the original canon of Ilene Chaiken. Marja Lewis-Ryan has nothing of interest for me and evidently, the other 200,000 that exited viewing this show. She is pounding the 35,000 left until she has ZERO watching her show.
For the fans a sorrowful lesson is learned about actresses placed on a pedestal--thinking they get it and understand. They evidently didn't get it either. They should know what the fans would like but they don't seem to know. Many toes were stepped upon and hearts broken with hallowed tibette scenes recreated for entertainment purposes. Really? If the actresses did understand, why didn't they walk off the set for season two? Why? They should have refused this story line.
The fans, the Tibette fans, want and deserve answers---whatever is left of them.
