One of my favorites: "Sherry Darlin'"
Lilly is tested with James Hogan's trust and in subsequent episodes a mention of James and a revisit with him. This was the Lilly we all fell in love with in Season 1 and into Season 2.

The early days of Cold Case Fans postulated that Lilly may have a picture of this victim as well as Lilly's letter to James and James' letters he wrote to her placed in her nightstand. This was certainly a memorable episode showcasing the early testings of a Homicide Cold Case Detective and a relation with a suspect that is unforgettable and sentimental. As well, this episode is a pivot point to learning more about Lilly and her own life when she was younger as the series progresses.
