I remember at this time last year among the season finales we were all keeping our fingers crossed that the news we strongly suspected was coming wasn't going to happen. But as we all know, it did happen. Cold Case, the show that brought us back in time, showed stories the way no other show could and gave a great cast of chracters was canceled. A year later, I still miss the show and think of what could have been if they had only allowed one more season to wrap things up, even if it was a half season. It was still easily one of the best crime shows ever made and is dearly missed by so many, even if it didn't get the respect it deserved by CBS.

Wow, ninja, the season has flown by. The time seems longer. I do not watch (never did) any of the other crime shows on CBS. For one thing in ads they are too gory for me. I just like a little story to unravel. Since I've not kept up with the other crime shows I have no idea who is even on the chopping block this season. Anyone care to dish?

I still miss the show too, and wonder what the writers had planned for the characters. I would have loved to have seen what happened to Scotty after he got his mother's rapist killed. I would also have loved to have seen how Lilly dealt with her new family.

I would also have loved to have seen how Lilly dealt with her new family. Indeed, Season 8 could have had so much to offer. Not only Lily bonding more and more with her family, but also Nick's relationship with Meghan, Kat and Curtis's relationship, and Finn and Jefferies dealing with retirement. It would have also been intresting to see what happened with Doherty. There is no way he was going to take his son getting arrested and losing his job sitting down I imagine that's where the murder Scotty committed might have come into play. And of course, it would have been intresting to see what cases the writers could have come up with. All water under the bridge of course, but that's where the fanfiction came into play. CSI NY is the only show I still watch on CBS on a regular basis and I am glad to see it has been given one more year ( I have no doubt it will be its last). The other shows I used to watch...as I said last year at this time, at least CC left with its dignity. The other shows are basically decending into awfulness.
