After seven seasons, there are going to be some episodes that didn't quite hit the mark. Which episodes do you think were the series lowlights?
Eight Years- So so boring. I didn't care about the people at all, and didn't care who had done the murder. I know they were trying to break the formula a bit, but it didn't work too well.
Lonely Hearts- Only beautiful people deserve love. If an ugly person wants love, they'll probably turn into a killer. The team make fun of the victim before finding out she was a serial killer. Usually they're a lot more sympathetic. Plus, they seem to make fun of the other victims, who were completely innocent of anything except being ugly. The poor girl whose ghost appears at the end is treated as a joke.
Interestingly, I think Martha was the only female serial killer.

Agree with your choices. Eight Years is easily the worst Cold Case episode IMO.
Lonely Hearts - Agree 100%. Martha is mocked from the start And the doer's motive for killing her is becuase Ramone is as good as she can get due to her being "ugly". As for some of the victims in this episode having low self-esteem, no wonder. Even in death, they are mocked on how they looked. The comments made about them made me sick to my stomach. I also consider it an insult to men as well. Shocking as it sounds, there are countless men who aren't going to go for the shallow blond they had in this episode and will go for the plain janes of the world. And there is nothing wrong with them.
Kensington - What a waste to bring back the great character of James in such a shabbily written episode.

LOL... Those were all among some of my favorite episodes.
I'm DVRing the reruns and I'm hoping to catch "Honor" again. I heard the new Matthew Morrison / Elton John "mashup" and immediately thought of the episode...

Well there were many episodes I really didn't care for. Sandhogs from season 4. I think the reason I was terribly disappointed with that episode is because my father was a Coal Miner and I had a preconceived expectation that it would revolve around Scabs and UMWA leaders and hardships of being a coal miner when on strike. The ep was totally not the case. I liked the sepia color! Others: Red Glare season 2, Colors and 8 Years from season three, Devil music from season 5 and the Dealer from Season 6. But that is just a few. From Season 4 on there were many more eps I didn't really care for. A note about 8 Years. I know this was Meredith's baby but I was not impressed with her song selection and the fact that it came off as as 44 minute music video. Now I know this ep was because she loved Bruce Springsteen and so do I! BUT what would have been a better story would have been something set in Asbury Park related to the crime. Even having the young couples go to see Bruce and the band at the Stone Pony as part of the flash back story would have been brilliant!

Agree with your choices Naj and as I've said before, while there were still some solid episodes, season 6 and 7 didn't have the feeling of the early Cold Case. As I've said before, it will be two years now since we haven't had Cold Case but seeing what has happened to some of the other shows I watch,I am thankful that it still escaped with its dignity. Law & Order SVU,Criminal Minds and all of the CSI shows have become jokes. Seaon 8 could have given us solid episodes..or gone down the path(and it was on its way there) of these other shows and given us too many worst episodes to choose from.
