I did enjoy the unique story line in "Two Weddings", but it has to be "Shattered" for me. As much as I like the Cold Case, I have to admit that I thought the show had a 50/50 chance at renewal as the season came to a close. I think "Shattered" had the perfect balance between being a season finale and a series finale, whichever would have been necessary at that point in time. Now that we know it was a series finale, I thought it did the job perfectly well, not just at closing long-standing story arcs, but also leaving us with tantalizing open endings that leave us with things to wonder about. I know many people don't like that, but it's the kind of closing I like and works absolutely fine with me.
