Yes, it's another list (hope people don't mind) about Cold Case killers.
One of the great things Cold Case did was flesh out the killers. It wasn't just evil bad guys/gals but more often ordinary people. People that we can see ourselves in.
While obviously none of us here would kill anyone, there were many cases where I knew exactly where the killer was coming from. Here are mine.. what are yours?
Pin Up Girl - Betty Sue Baker - I know what it's like to have a friend that went through many of the same hardships you did, yet it seems that they're walking on water while you are struggling to keep your head above it.
Her final line to Rita was dead on. It DOES hurt how your friends can do so well while you're still struggling. But it's life, and it was no fault of Rita's or any of our friends that have made us feel that way from time to time.
Factory Girls - Nelson Miller - While Nelson may have been a bit sexist, IMO, his hatred of Alice's change wasn't the fact she wasn't the dutiful housewife anymore, but more the fact he wanted the things to be the way they were before he left. Before he saw all the things he did and he was injured.
He's no different than troops who have fought in other wars. Whether's it six months or six years, when they return, they want things to be the way they were before they left.
But you can't turn back the clock. Life goes on and people change...it's too bad for Nelson and Alice that he couldn't cope with that fact.
Libertyville - George Watson - I have a mild learning disablity so I understood 100% where George was coming from in his anger towards Julian. Julian may have been black but at the end of the day, he truly had no idea what life was really like for George and how all his hard work was ignored solely based on the color of his skin.
To have someone say they'll fight to make it right, they're on your side and they understand your problem can easily come across as patronizing, which is exactly how Julian came across to George at the end.
Another case where I could put myself in the killer's shoes and feel exactly as they felt.
