Eddie Saccardo cannot walk again , after being an a car accident caused by Moe. Do Eddie and Lilly ever get married, how does Scotty try and help Lilly through these bad times.

It was the phone call that Lilly had never expected to get, one that also made her stop breathing. As she ran down the hospital hallways, Scotty met her halfway down. He could see the panic in her eyes, knowing that this wasn’t an accident that had happened, but something far worse. Scotty couldn’t bear to tell her anymore bad news, especially this one.
However he kept his mouth shut, but instead told her what room to go into. Pushing the door opened slightly, Lilly saw Eddie lying in bed; his eyes meeting up with hers.
Very slowly she took her hand into his,” What Happened?”
“All I know is that that Major hit me, I’ll never be able to walk again, though,” seeing that Lilly was in the verge of tears, “I should be lucky that I’m alive, but I don’t know.”
Lilly tried to remain strong for him,” Where is Moe now?” she asked, wanting to see revenge for hurting the man that she loved so much. Perhaps this wasn’t the best thing, Eddie needed her,” He’s not getting away with this.”
“He’s not, your boss told me that he’s in custody,” which indeed was a good thing. Still, she was on the verge of tears, “I’m alright Lilly,” taking her hand as he then placed it onto his cheek,” My heart’s still beating.”
She could feel his heart beat, while the tears began falling softly, “I don’t want to lose you,” she sniffled, “It would break me.”
Over the next few hours, the doctors were in and out running some more tests on him. Nevertheless, Lilly remained by his side. She was glad that Eddie’s brain wasn’t affected, seeing that he could breathe, talk and eat on his own. Still, Lilly knew that this was a life changing thing not just for him, but for the two of them.
When Scotty poked his head in later, he saw that Eddie was fast asleep. However Lilly wasn’t,” Lil,” motioning for her to speak outside. She glanced over, before kissing Eddie on his lips. Once outside, she let out a long sigh,” Took him awhile to fall asleep, he’s not taking the news so lightly. “
“There a chance that he can walk about?” Scotty asked.
Lilly shook her head, “No, just his legs are completely paralyzed. Saccardo does not like being confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.”
“I wouldn’t like it either, if you need anything Lil, I’m here,” seeing her nodding softly, “Moe isn’t going to get away with this, especially when he purposely did it. He followed Saccardo, for only one reason; to take away someone that you loved.”
She was angry, and wanted to physically hurt Moe,” I’ll testify, I’m not putting Saccardo, through this. He doesn’t need all this extra stress.”
Nonetheless, Lilly was wrong; Eddie was clearly wanting to testify,” Look I’m not taking the chance of him walking away, he almost killed you. Cause of him, I’m now in a wheelchair,” his anger also surging, especially since he couldn’t move his legs,” This is great, can’t even get myself out of bed!”
Lilly exhaled deeply, before trying to help him; as Eddie pushed her away, “I can do this myself!”
When he found that he couldn’t, she then helped him into a wheelchair, while she was pushing him down the hallway, Eddie felt more depressed,” Take me back now Lilly!”
Once back in bed, he planned to stay there. His mood had changed drastically, “It’s all over for me now, and I don’t blame you if you want to leave me.”
Taking his hand, Lilly sat down on the bed,” This doesn’t chance what I think about you, all it matters is that I love you,” seeing that he was clearly depressed. By all means, Eddie had a right to be, “You could have been far worse.”
He sighed deeply,” I won’t be able to dance with you at our wedding, or be the same cop that I once was,” he paused for a few seconds,” You deserve someone better than me.”
“I only want you,” her eyes full of love for him.
