I mostly end up buying my presents only several days before the actual event. ;D I guess it won't be different this year.

You know what I thought of? 6 more months till Christmas means 6 more months till i'm halfway done with school, and 6 more months till I'm right in the middle of competition season, and wishing my life (just kidding, I don't have a life during competition season... ) would end. That's not a good feeling...

OMG I was thinking the same thing! 6 months from now I will be half way done my last year of high school! Along with again right in the middle of local competitions, for rock band. I haven't had a real Christmas break in what 3 years!
I have a few things for this years Christmas, I got them when I was in California for Regionals.

as weird as it sounds, I'm not looking forward to it. One of the reasons why I want to get out of here is so I can NOT have to celebrate it.

And six months from now Christmas will be over. ;D Right now I'm buying some fireworks so I'm not too into this early Christmas shopping idea although I do think it's good if you see something unique to pick up for someone - go for it! TRB, I know you dislike the holiday season. I like the festive decorating but not much into all that gift giving stuff. It's too excessive. The thoughts of people camping out over night on Thanksgiving at Big Box stores, etc., (to get early shopping deals) is ridiculous.

I'll have new friends in college. And I'll be in a 7-month relationship with my bf...almost a whole year I just love Christmas though . I'm a big fan of giving presents. I always like to buy people stuff. Sometimes it's not an item that costs alot, but it's an item given with thought about them and it fits their personality or it's an inside joke ;D

I love Christmas but for me it never feels like it because I am working soo hard with my AP Classes then with Rock Band and Friends, family, and my boyfriend, I just don't have time to really celebrate, I haven't been to a family Christmas dinner in 2 years, I'm always there for Christmas Morning but not Christmas eve Now that I think about it I will again be almost half way through my last year of high school, and that scares me, also i will have been with my boyfriend for 1 year and 5 months!!!! It just seems like this last year is going to fly by!!

It just seems like this last year is going to fly by!! Hmm yes it will . Just live it out loud everyday and you'll have no regrets. By the time Senior Year rolled around, let's just say that I was done with my AP classes . I only had two AP classes during my last year instead of 4 or 5. Then, I had two college classes...which I really need to get my transcript from Syracuse University's Project Advance transferred to Hunter in order to get the only college credits that I can get . Oh and make sure to look up if your colleges will accept your AP scores ;D. Stupid selfish ol' me didn't do that and now I'm paying the price since Hunter College apparently doesn't accept any of my AP scores because they're so freaking high. Stony Brook accepts my scores. And Gettysburg College, I don't know, but I wanted to go there. However, I can't because of family financials. Gburg costs a total of $200,000+ in 4 years. Whereas Hunter College, is $4,000+ tutition. Times that by 4 years is around 16,000-20,000. 4 years is 48 months. 48 months times apartment rent money and utilities is $72,000. So my education at Hunter would cost around 88,000 -92,000. But then there are the books. So yeah...it easily adds up to $100,000 education. Oh the joys of America where the old mighty dollar dominates. For Hunter's AP World and US History, you have to get a 5 in order for an exemption. I don't have that. I have 4s. AP Biology, you have to get a 4 to get exempt. I don't have that either. I have a 3. AP Lit and AP Language, you have to get 5s....guess what? I have a 4 >.<. My scores would've been acceptable at Stony Brook University though, but I never wanted to go there since a) I'll be with like my entire family and I don't want to make it a family reunion, and b) it's only a 10 minute drive from here and I don't want to be living in the same place forever, and lastly c) living here is very boring. I'd rather have the city life. It's a smarter career move for a communications major since NYC does have a media industry, which equals more opportunities in the city than in the burbs' working for local newspaper and tv channels.

I know how you feel about the AP classes. I am taking everything AP so it's just been crazy! I am lucky that I have grades all in the high 90s so I am doing good. I rounded put this year with an overall average of 97 so I'm happy with that. I always has this dream of going to harvard but I don't know anymore. All I know is I am not staying in Alberta to complete my education. I think I'll go back to philadelphia and live with my mom and go to Temple. I want to go into Journalism/Photography. Although my step parents want me to go into Law. Not going to happen!
