And I know I'm not the only one. There were so many storylines that they could have used for a season 8. Instead they decided to choose the almighty dollar, the stupid 18-49 demo (I'm sick of that being the end all be all with ratings) over quality. I'm only in my late 20's but I can remember even 5 years ago and back into the 90's when there were actual quality shows (Friends and Seinfield don't count) on tv. Now a lot of it is rude and arrogant people of all ages getting their 15 mins of fame by lying, cheating, and being drunk. I truly don't understand hows like Survivor, Jersey Shore(HATE IT),Undercover Boss (not moved by it at all) are taking the place of good quality shows and how rejects like the ones from Jersey Shore are stars at all. I truly wish Cold Case had been on ABC. They seem to actually treat the quality shows they have better than the other networks do.

You're right, it all comes down to the Almighty Dollar/God Money/Manna. Cold Case was one of the few shows on the air that actually placed story and substance over explosions, and loud rock music *cough*Rob ZombieinoneepisodeofCSIIthink*cough* and EXPLOSIONS, and scantily clad babes, and shirtless dudes, and EXPLOSIONS!!
Right, you get my drift.

It does suck, only because it further demonstrates how quality is being de-emphasized on TV instead quantity. Why have 2 really good shows on the air when you can have 10 poor shows on the air -- they'll pull in 5x the advertising dollars and you're more likely to please a larger group of people when you offer them more choices.
Hell, I'm 27 years old and I can remember shows like Hill St. Blues, St. Elsewhere, Thirtysomething, L.A. Law and Twin Peaks. Hopefully TNT will continue airing re-runs and maybe another network, maybe even a cable network, will pick the show up.
It's natural to be angry, but there's nothing we can do. Which also sucks.

I am 32 years old and I am still in shock that this show is gone. I have watched it from day one. Such a unique show with such depth, amazing chemistry between all of the characters. There are so many places this show can go in another season, I am not losing hope entirely. I hope that TNT or another network will pick it up
