I think it was a very good episode. It would be much better as a series finale than Shattered. The case was very interesting. Woodstock was such an important event that had enormous impact on culture and on lives of many people. And it was high time for the case connected with that festival. BTW do you know that actually 3 people died during Woodstock just like Cavanaugh mentioned. I didn't like Vera case in Philly. It had nothing to do with homicide and was a bit silly imo. I liked the chemistry between Yates and Stillman. And I liked Ryan a lot. Though I must admit I liked Saccardo as well. So it would be difficult form to decide which guy would be better for Lilly.

They kind of overdid it on the love storyline, with four of the detectives having a chance of romance in the final montage. I wish they'd gone the whole hog and given Will some loving. Why does he miss out? (Scotty has had enough loving, and after his actions in the next episode, has other things to worry about)
Still, I did like Dave and Annabelle. They were a cute couple, even if they did seem to be from the same instant love mould a lot of cold case couples are from. They didn't seem to spend much time together before deciding they were in love.
The Woodstock scenes looked really bad. It was obvious they used stock footage for most of it, and then some actors in a random field for the rest. I didn't really get any sense that they were in Woodstock.
I like the fact that the show tried to show all sides to Vietnam and war in general. You had a lot of honourable soldiers in the series, and a lot of honourable peace activists and deserters. A lot of shows only show one side, and make the other side out to be evil or stupid.
It didn't feel like a Cold Case episode at all, even though you did get the flashbacks and the music.

IMHO: The worse episode ever made. This hurts me a lot because you all know I LOVE 60's cases but I just truly hated this one. Total disaster. Everything but the music was a complete disaster. The Lilly/Ryan thing was not a disaster but was just OK. I had a little accident yesterday and I'm having some pain and can't type too much. I'll try to post tomorrow all the reasons why I consider this the worse cold case episode ever I can still say after watched the Cold Case Marathon for weeks that this is the WORST episode ever on all the series.
