A/N: Never Don't A Stillman Story So I hope It Doesn't Suck.
Summary: John Stillman Reflects On His Relationship With The Members Of His Family(The Team).
My Family
Prologue
They've been at this game for awhile now, and he must say, it never gets old. Two daughters. Two sons. A step-daughter. Even a brother. This was his family, a family he'd chosen to stick through no matter what. A family that he almost lost one too many times, even once by his own choice, but he cherishes them too much to ever let go. He couldn't let go. They weren't children, but they were his. They were all John Stillman's family.

I'm making this a full story. Each chapter is Stillman thoughts about each memebr of his family. Hope you'll enjoy.
My Brother
He can't consider this man his son. Their connection ran deeper than that. Their understanding of each other ran deeper than that. This man was his conrad. His best friend. His brother. They've lived in this world a very long time. Both seen and live through the evolution of the world, giving them both the power of passing down the wisdom and lessons learned through their own live. With him, he didn't have to be a hardass when things got serious, because his brother knew him well. It hurt him when he had to punish him when he punch the arrogant ADA for allowing an innocent person die. Hell, he didn't blame him. The bastard deserved it. But he had to recieve punishment for his actions. Watching his younger brother on desk duty, making weird origami and being bored out of his mind, it saddend him, eventhough his brother would never hold it against him. He understood. When he got shot, along with his prodigy of a daughter, he kept his focus on her, but he knew, as well as his brother, that needed to talk, he needed someone to talk to. Only to him, he would allow his emotions be fully expressed. His brother allowed him to do that, with a bottle of scotch and deep conversations in the office late at night. He's forever grateful for it. When the aftermath incident got his youngest son in trouble, he took the fall for him. But it was Uncle Will who was the one who had to to keep the family together while he was away. He knew it was a struggle for his brother and he knew he didn't want it, but he almost gave the responsibility of his children to Uncle Will forever and it was fair to him. He almost gave away his family forever. For him to just think back on that kind of thinking, it seems foolish, but a foolish mistake he almost made. But his brother, without pressure, talked a little sense into him, gave him the opportunity to be with his family again. Sometimes the older brother needs the words of wisdom from his younger brother and Will always have and be will be the man to do it. When he heard his brother was shot, it stung his soul. Seeing the blood on his oldest child's clothes that night, it stung his eyes. The wait of hearing his brother's conditon, it almost stung his patience, but he needed to strong for his children. They all love Uncle Will. He was the one they could talk to when they needed guidence. Like teenagers who want to talk to an adult, but not their parents. Will was there for him when he was shot, so without question he returned the favor and helped his fellow siolder heal. They went to their deep conversations late at night, bottle of scotch in hand and a sense of brotherhood that he'll never forget. Will Jeffries was his brother, a relationship that didn't need words to communicate, just understanding, and something that John Stillman will forever hold in his heart.
