Oh, so you mean Nick isn't killed? The previews really make it look like Nick gets killed.
Oh well, it's like I learned in college; 'The camera never lies, but editors do.'

Actually, what I heard in the promo was that the cops got a call there was a "jumper" and then you see them huddled around a body covered by a sheet. Then the camera pans to Jeffries making a shocked face after Lilly lifts the sheet- as thought it might be Vera. Which would then insinuate the jumper was him, and that he committed suicide, rather than was murdered.

Since this is the spoiler thread..... Vera isn't the jumper, he's alive (but shattered) at the end of this episode. I will say in the future if there's a season 8, I imagine the tactics that Valens,Jefferies and Rush used tonight to make the culprits confess will not get a stamp of approval from Vera anymore.

Damn, this looks to be one of the best shows from the entire series' run. Of course adding my beloved Floyd's music to the mix certainly helps.

I have a feeling that this episode could outrank "Thrill Kill" and "Into the Blue" as my favorite episode of the series.
Probably helps that I enjoy Pink Floyd's music. (Funny, the other two personal top episodes featured artists I like.)

It very well could be. Even though we havn't seen the show, I'm wondering if there will be flashbacks to Discretion from Season two. That was the episode where the cop got the innocent kid to confess to a murder he didn't commit. The talk Vera had with that cop HAS to be weighing on his mind. Because he did the same thing that cop did... got an innocent person to confess to a crime he didn't commit. The only difference is the poor guy died before his innocence was shown. That would send me off the wagon too.

Thanks. I just watched it. Amazing. I have a feeling that this episode could outrank "Thrill Kill" and "Into the Blue" as my favorite episode of the series. Probably helps that I enjoy Pink Floyd's music. (Funny, the other two personal top episodes featured artists I like.) Let's see what happens. Until now mt favorite episode is still "Shuffle, Ball Change"... not even Wednesday's women, WASP, Brush Man, Glory Days, True Calling or Forensics(season 6 and season 7 favorites) have been able to outrank it.

If there is a season 8, it will be intresting to see how Vera is on interviewing suspects. I imagine this case may change his tone a little bit.
