Again... MAJOR spoiler. DON'T read if you don't want to know.....
Last Chance.... Read below at your own risk.
Okay, here's the deal. The guy who rapes Scotty's mother and several other women (or the perp they believe to be the rapist) is in jail. According to Nowcasting, in the upcoming episode Paradise Lost, Scotty pays a visit to an informant from his nacrotics days who is also locked up and basically hires him more or less to kill the guy. In the closing scenes, we see that the guy is indeed dead. So it appears the line Lily couldn't cross (despite her stalking and harrassing),Scotty did. If there is a season 8 (sadly unlikely) there is no way I can view Scotty in the same light. Murder is murder. Trials exist for a reason and IMO, if this casting slide is true, Scotty is no better than some of the corrupt cops we've seen over the seasons who picked and choose what laws to enforce... or committed murder themselves.

Given Scotty's rather violent temper, this doesn't surprise me in the least.

I have to wonder how he managed to last this long being a cop. Let's face it.. in real life sooner or later he would have done something to get the department sued for $$$$$

My point is that they should announce if the show is canceled or not so the writers can give us a proper ending and not something stupid. It's been anounced the 21 episode of the season and there are 22... This is lame

I actually think there's 23 episodes this season... like the rest of the seasons other than 4 and 5.

They better not ruin it by sending Scotty off to jail! This is something major, and I really hope Scotty doesn't get caught.

even if he doesn't.. if this storyline holds up.. he can't be viewed in the same light anymore. If there's a season 8, watching Scotty condemn perps for murder when he did one himself... would be hard to watch

I really hate that way ... i don't think with this "thing" we will have another one season its not possible or if we have a season 8 he won't be there. I would like he leaves the show because see him with a murder complicity on his hands would be strange he have "to serve and protect "not "avenge and kill"..

In the same breath, Don Flack on CSI NY murdered his gf's killer and is still on the show.

I think I would be able to look at him the same way, I understand why he's doing it, and I wouldnt expect anything more. The only problem I have with this, is that they could ruin the show if he got caught, the writers need to be really smart with the way they plan this out.

In the same breath, Don Flack on CSI NY murdered his gf's killer and is still on the show. That's no problem to me. I don't know why people began to be such sentimental. (no offense) He didn't kill an innocent man! CSI NY Fans are not that sentimental (no offense) so It's ok for them what Flack did. I used to watch CSI NY - The only CSI I liked-

Ahhh but the problem is letting people take justice into their own hands. Other than "Justice" (no way Jimmy wasn't in danger),doers that killed rotton scumbags (the mother in Blackout, the man who killed the pedophile in Revenge) were still arrested for taking justice into their own hands. It's not being sentimental, it's about being the judge and jury. Plus, many of the cold case doers didn't view their victims as "innocent" either.

I'm speechless right now. This is not how I pictured the show to end. I'm just saying this because we probably wont get an eighth season.

Playing devil's advocate here. What if they do want an eighth season, but the only way to do that is to get rid of one of the actors? Obviously, they can't get rid of Lilly (hence why she didn't kill Moe.) But they could get rid of Scotty.
I hate to say it, but that's how TV works. Of course they could cancel it.
Either way, I don't care much.

I thought they would get rid of Jeffries, Vera or Miller however not Scotty

Hate to say this, but I bet that by getting rid of Scotty they'd save more . money, than if they got rid of any others.

Ugh... if there's an 8th season, I hope they don't get rid of Scotty! Even on the CSI shows, a lot of time when an actor leaves, it was because they wanted to or because they had personal problems. Guess we'll have to wait and see but the actors strike me as those who might willing to take a pay cut if it means another season.
