This is a 2004 case and the victim is a 15 year old boy named Alex. He had a relationship with Scotty-his mother was an informant on a narcotics case that Scotty worked and Scotty was supposed to serve as a character witness at Alex's trial in juvenile court but showed up too late to help. This looks like a very Scotty-centric episode.

Is this the episode where Saccardo appears?? This sounds a bit like " Santuary", anything else with the other characters as well??

" TVguide already had said that, but that probably had been said right before this episode was written. Things are always scheduled to change, his re-introduction could go another ways. Scripts are always being changed, we'll just have to wait for more info

This is wierd, I was just thinking Steven Culp would make a good CC guest star recently. I just hope they don't go the "Law & Order" route and make him the doer (he was already a doer on another Bruckheimer show, CSI Vegas, a few years back).
Cress Williams will be recognizeable to "Prison Break" fans as the evil assassin Wyatt and to "ER" fans as Jeannie Boulet's ex-husband.
But the name I'm most excited to see on the list is Keith Szarabajka back as Deputy Commissioner Pat Doherty, no doubt there to make Stillman's life harder. ;D So nice to see they're still following this up. I'm still holding out hope for Bill Duke to return as Doherty's boss Grover Boone, but we'll see.

Forgive me, but just by the sound of this episode and from having to work in the legal field, and see instances like this happen to often to young offenders, I think that I am going to take a pass and skip this episode.

You maybe surprised and the episode might go in a different way than you think it will, but your entitled to your own opinion, that's cool..

This episode will be based off a true story. In PA, two juvenile court judges took kickbacks from private juvenile detention centers to send kids to their facalities/camps. Kids who had done things like stealing a bag of chips, making a myspace page spoofing their principal or shoplifting cds were sent to these centers for three months to two years... all so the two judges could get rich.

They also had a recent Law & Order: SVU episode based on this, called "Crush". I don't usually watch that show, but that was a good ep. I recommend it.

Yes they did..be intresting to see Cold Case's spin on it. Plus, from one of the casting lists I saw, the guy Stillman told he would beat the crap out of will be back.

Commissioner Pat Doherty, whom we previously saw last season in "Street Money" and "Officer Down". I like the idea that Stillman going behind Doherty's back and confronting Councilman Boone, may have put himself in Doherty's crosshairs, and that he'll show up occasionally to make trouble for Stillman.

Judging from the previews.. it looks like they'll be doing another scandel that has occured in many juvenile centers... where guards turn the juveniles loose on one another for their own enjoyment or managment.

Would someone be able to post this preview on you tube? I can't watch it from where I am. Anyone else think that maybe Lilly thinks her photo text in Hoodrats is from Moe, but it's actually from Saccardo? He did send her that message of her before in True Calling... Just a thought x
