Lilly and Scotty get sent out on a road trip to Ohio, but somehow the killer manages to capture them first. Does this break up their relationship for good, or not?
Rating: Pg-13
Lilly hated long road trips, especially ones that were out of state. She groaned slightly while shifting uncontrollably in the passenger seat.
“Are you sure, that you know where we are heading to?” she asked her partner, Scotty. Glancing around, everything was completely pitching black, unlike the city of Philadelphia that the two had been traveling from.
Scotty’s eyes were on the road,” Yeah, I think we’re heading in the right direction,” but Lilly knew that he was lying. She could immediately sense it, but yet wasn’t going to correct him. Besides it wouldn’t be a good thing to be stuck inside of a car, with them both angry at one another.
Thus, Lilly dared herself to speak, “Don’t you think that you should at least, pull over and find out where exactly we are?”
“Nah, I’m good Lil,” but Scotty knew that she was right. He had in fact, not a single clue as to where they were. Lilly now sighed deeply, knowing that they were now lost.
To make matters worse, a car with extremely bright lights came out of nowhere; as Scotty tried to avoid having an accident. Somehow it was a completely mystery to them both, how the other car seemed to almost disappear. They both knew that this could only happen, in Science Fiction Movies; not in reality. Scotty glanced over at his partner, seeing that she also was pondering what might have happened to the car.
“Probably just sped off Lil, forget about it,” as he continued driving along. Somehow they had passed by at least three gas stations; all abandoned; which was puzzling, “you ain’t driving Lil,” reading directly into her thoughts, “No way, I’ll get us there.”
“In two weeks,” she whispered, but Scotty had clearly heard what she had said. Somehow when he finally had stopped, he went into the small station to ask for directions. Lilly was standing outside, enjoying the cool air; before everything went wrong.
When Scotty came out, he saw Lilly lying on the ground; “Lil,” he whispered with a hint of Panic in his voice,”Hey,” saying their secret code.
That was the last thing that the two had remembered; as they woke up, sitting in the backseat; of some dirty, old car. Lilly still feeling groggily, opened up her eyes. She couldn’t make out too much that was around her, until someone took her hand,” Hey”.
She felt relieved that Scotty was sitting right next to her, “Where are we?”
He sighed, “I don’t know.”
Just a few towns over, their car remained abandoned on the empty street. Once again the killer had been able to get away with abducting, but this time his intent wasn’t on killing the detectives. What he also didn’t know was that both Detective Rush and Valens also were currently dating each other.
While that wasn't the most important piece of information, back in the car, Scotty continued holding onto Lilly's hand.
