That's funny R2K! You'll have to let us know for sure when you go back and watch it again. I'll keep an eye out for it as well. ETA: UPDATE - I think I just saw the commercial! It's for Verizon, right? I think it's totally him. Funny commercial. Nice catch R2K!

Tuned into this ep last night on TNT ... was a pretty good ep. I liked the case (again, had kind of a sports angle which I enjoy. ). I liked how Lilly seemed to be so protective of Ray (but not THE Ray that we now think of ). There was, I thought, such great bonding moments between both of them - especially when she found him on the basketball court (where his father had been killed). She was really quite like a big sister in that scene. That whole softness, genuine kindness/caring that she can exhibit to those she is trying to protect - her cases, that is. Scotty ... wow, dude, relax about Alyssa. Sheesh. What is his problem? He just ripped Jefferies for no reason. Ironically enough, to me, Alyssa is appearing to be the normal one in this relationship. It's hard for me to watch S1 Scotty without comparing him to S3 Scotty, but he just seems to be wound way too tight in S1. At least Lilly isn't quite so ... immature? childish? socially inept? when it comes to dealing with Kite. Yes, she stumbles along in her own Lilly way, and she takes the ribbing from the guys about the relationship in general. But, I do not believe we've seen her fly off the handle at them and/or pretend Kite does not exist - especially if he's standing there in front of her (which Scotty has now done TWICE with Alyssa - once with Lilly; once with Jefferies). Is Scotty really that embarrassed to be with her (as he seems to project)? Or something else ...? Really odd. Inconsistency: So, Lil' goes back to NOT knowing anything about sports, again? Cute and clueless, fine, but ... isn't this the same Lil' who, a few episodes back, had us thinking she does know teams (the convincing "Sixers traded Iverson" joke to Stillman). Yet now she doesn't know what "going League" means? Or the Friday night championship game? This comes up again in S3, and it's become kind of comical to me ... the big mystery ... does she or doesn't she really know sports. LOL! Funny thing I'd like to know: With Kathryn always talking about how she cannot catch a ball, throw a ball, etc. ... how many times did she have to throw that basketball up to make it look like a halfway decent attempt at a shot and/or CATCH the rebound as it came back down toward her? I have no idea, but when she DID catch it on the rebound, she seemed - at least to me - surprised that she got it. Perhaps this had been after 15 or so takes of the ball going everywhere BUT into her hands ... or maybe she got it on the first one. Who knows, but it was funny to watch given she's always ragging on herself about the catch-a-ball thing.

Didn't care for this episode much but thought the actor who played Ray looked familiar but I think he was on Family Matters as the twin of Steve Urkel.
Coach really annoyed me and I liked that Lilly decided to let John do the interview.
EDIT: Scotty does act like he's embarrassed that his girl might have issues.

Okay episode.
I'm not a fan of the sports episodes (except Superstar). I find them pretty boring, even if the characters are well written. The plot was okay, and the doer made sense. I really couldn't care about sports scandals.
I guess Herman Lester joins Al , Bunny, and Patrick Bubbley as having episodes named after them?
I love eighties music, but the music here was kind of meh.
I think this might be my least favourite Season One episode (this or Useless Cats).
