ahhh! I missed it! We just got TiVo and i couldn't install it today, and I had to take the VCR out to plug in the TiVo and so I couldn't tape it. If anyone has any free time, and your really bored and wouldn't mind just posting a little summary, I really appreciate it. ;D

The song is by "Blessed Union Of Souls" and is called " I Believe" Lyrics as follows: (found it on yahoo)
Walk blindly to the light and reach out for his hand Don't ask any questions and don't try to understand Open up your mind and then open up your heart You will see that you and me aren't very apart
Cause I believe, that love is the answer I believe, love will find a way
Violence has spread worldwide And there's families on the street We sell drugs to children, now why can't we just see That all we do is eliminate our future With the things we do today Money is our incentive now, so that makes it ok
And I believe, love is the answer I believe, love will find a way I believe, that love is the answer I believe, love will find a way
I've been seeing Lisa now for a little over a year She says she never been so happy, but Lisa lives in fear That one day daddy's gonna find out she's in love With a nice person from the street Oh how he would lose it then, but she's still here with me Cause she believes that love will see it through, and they will understand And he'll see me as a person, not just a black man
Cause I believe, that love is the answer I believe, that love will find a way I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe Love is the answer I believe, love will find a way Love will find a way

Yes there's some good music on these shows that brings back memories of what I was doing at the time. If y'll head over to the Soundtrack forum listed under OTHER here, there is a link to the songs for every episode. Also there is another poster here who has a whole web site of the music related to the show. It's quite an impressive site. www.have-dog.com/coldcase/~Naj

So Scotty likes to play the lottery $5 a day. $150/month.
It's really amazing how some things like having the same caliber gun and some law violations can make one a real suspect in a murder from a boy just frequenting a store. It scares me how police use coincidental information on someone which can land them in a heap of trouble.

This was my first viewing of "Hitchhiker," and I must say that I really liked the episode. I thought the interrogation scene between Lilly and the truck driver (Floyd?) was fantastic. I loved the way Lilly played right into his perverted comments without losing control of the interview. That line after Scotty left ("Floyd, you've been naughty") combined with the look Lilly gave him was hysterical. I loved the way she was purposly laying it on thick, but not too much. The following scene was great too. I loved when she told Floyd to "take those boots off my table!" She was in a butt-kicking mood last night. Too funny!
I thought the confession scene with the store owner and Scotty was very interesting. Lilly calling him on it was a twist. I was wondering if they ever disagreed. Lilly was right, though. As soon as the man confessed I knew he hadn't done it. I could tell he was scared to death. I liked the later scene when Lilly and Scotty were still being nasty to each other in the police station. They really are like brother and sister sometimes.
Overall, I liked the episode. It had some great scenes and interesting characters.

That line after Scotty left ("Floyd, you've been naughty") combined with the look Lilly gave him was hysterical. oh, that scene is awesome!! I specially like when she tells Scotty "Scotty, give me and Henry some private time" - I loved the look on Scotty's face. I guess at that point they were still getting to know each other and her "style" still surprised him a little. That interrogation scene is actually my favorite "Lilly-at-work moment". I totally love when she's in a "butt-kicking mood". The (lack of) reactions the other people have to her at those moments are usually really funny. Also, that ending song was one of the best choices of the season. I thought the lyrics had a strong connection to the story, especially the chorus. (I wonder if they pay attention to that when choosing the ending songs)

Tatiana - Definitely one of my favorite "Lilly at work" moments. Kathryn just played that scene to perfection. Anything more would have overdone it, and anything less would not have gotten the right idea across. I love the fact that she is such a subtle actor. She does such a great job that you forget she's playing a role. I think this is why she is so underrated.

I wish to God they'd quit rerunning "The Hitchhiker." It's one of the more obvious episodes, and a stinging cold shower after the remarkable "A Time to Hate" - "Fly Away" - "Sherry Darlin'" trio. Scotty's overpursuit of the Russian shopkeeper feels planted; Lilly's of course a special person, but they should have to work harder at revealing it.
Next week's reprise, of "The Plan," is on the other hand much needed. Agnieszka Holland, who directed, is a valuable filmmaker; I hope she can find time for "our" show in the upcoming season.

I agree about rerunning this one. Why? You know, blankregus, I was thinking the exact same thing about Scotty and that store owner. Scotty seems too smart to act so inexperienced. It was odd. And since irishkale posted that "MadTV" spoof of "Cold Case" yesterday up in the "General", I laughed throughout last night's episode. I'm looking forward to next week because the other detectives get a chance to shine, Jeffries and Vera and the whole gang work together on the case. I'm still holding out for the pilot repeat. ~Naj

Irishkale - You ROCK!!!! I LOVE that scene. It's one of my favorite "Lilly at work" moments. She kicked some serious butt in that interrogation. Thank you for posting it.

That was great! Clearly, this scene gave Lilly her best line of the season, "You've been naughty, Henry." I must not have been paying attention, but he didn't say "Sweet Toots" did he. He said something else I'm not going to mention on the board. That guy clearly deserves the needle. I'll bet Janice will be thrilled to hear that he won't be coming around again. By the way, did any of you notice they didn't flash the people back in the scenes like usual. They did in the end, but not during the episode itself.

No I noticed they didn't do the flashbacks during the ep either. I just figured because the case was from what 1999 or something like that? There wasn't enough years passed to really flashback to anything. i know they did flashbacks to when they were kids but that was about it really.

I thought so too. However, Resolutions and the Plan did it. Resolutions kept the same actors. In The Hitchhiker, Katie wasn't flashbacked and neither was Blaine and a different actor played him in the hold-up scene. My thought is there weren't enough characters to do that to so they left it the way it was.
