Pretty good insight but I think the " Zombie Lilly" is gone now. Guess this whole ordeal is over maybe this case got her to think more clearly about her innerself. Back in " Wunderkind" her therapist asked her to take control over her life. Now seeing that sign made Lilly do just that think about everything that had happened and what mattered to her most.
The look that was exchanged between the two said a lot. Lilly still had Scotty by herside the one person who remained the closest she had to a friend. Perhaps this is love that the two have but for all the reasons they don't tempt fate and go for it.
Yellow lights usually mean to slow down and use caution. Lilly was doing that inside of her own head taking time to thinking about everything. She used caution with John Smith not letting herself break into massive tears or anything. In stead her old self came back which kept her own sanity and solved this case.
I think Brenda played a big role in restilling Hope back into Lilly. She gave her that strength to hold on realizing there is more to life than she knows about.

Loved this ep! A road trip, a psycho killer... So good. And maybe this is the push Lilly needs to get a life! Hopefully... Would be great if a murderer was a catalyst for change for her. Just what does she get out of bed for? I loved that Lilly's past; the neighbourhood she grew up in, could be helpful to her instead of something she just tries to forget. I'm not saying it very eloquently, but I think it was nice she could recognise where she came from and use it to help herself.

Just having watched a repeat of " One Night" on ABC. I saw some simliaties between that episode and this one but one thing stuck out on me : The Killer in One Night first gave his name as " John Doe" in this episode the name was " John Smith". Thought that was odd to see that.
Unlike " One Night" this episode was pretty creepy especially the music. Lilly's face how the light flickered from darkness to light represented hope coming back into her life.

I liked how Valens protected Lilly and I thought maybe John was playing a trick with them when he took them into the woods.
I loved how people got on Miller and Vera for coming in at the middle of the night to ask a question.
