tiny spoiler.......................................................................
I'd have to say this episode was pretty good. I liked it. Although I'd have to say the look on Jefferis face at the end towards Vera was priceless.

Good evening everyone, Hey, a great show tonight. I thought Barry Bostwick's character was creepy, a disturbing portrait of brainwashing. By the way, does anyone know if (in the end credits) that picture to the right of his current day portrait was a picture of his 1975 portrayal in "Rocky Horror"? Just curious. The end credits were neat too. I take it one (or many) of the Cold Case writers is a "Rocky Horror" fan, huh? It was hilarious when it showed Vera and Jeffries sitting in the audience for one of the Rocky Horror shows. Jeffries didn't seem too thrilled to be there. Also, I am wondering where Christina's character will go from here. The fact that she ran out tells me that she is guilty, or that she simply fears this NYPD officer will think she is. Also, she is a fugitive and now that she has left Scotty's place makes me wonder where she will go now. I wonder if she will be back again for the final two episodes. I hope so, I think she can provide some further insight into Lilly's life. Overall, a good episode. I will be anxious to hear everyone else's thoughts as well. Take care, and have a great night, everyone.

No, Jeffries was not a happy camper.. I asked my hubby that and I saw that it had two pictures and Barry's name. So he said yeah, that was Barry I didn't realize it, I'll have to watch the "Rocky Horror Show" again. I haven't watched that in a long time But this episode was great :thumb: Poor Scotty, I guess Christine flew the coop. I am wondering is that what happened with Lil? Did she do credit fraud back then? Is that what happened?

Christina, Christina, Christina. What are we going to do with you? Christina running away doesnt paid a pretty picture for herself. Unfortunately, some things you do because you are innocent can make you look even more guilty. Or maybe she is guilty. Who knows now? The one thing we know for sure is that if her and Scotty ever cross paths again, BOY is it going to be tense!! And im sure Lilly will be notified about her sister skipping out. Definitely wont help her relationship with Scotty either. I highly doubt she will comfort him.
The case: Well, there was an interesting angle with the whole religious theme. It was quite accurate, actually, some people are offended when people dont seem to care about thier religious beliefs. And then there's the over the top with Roy tonight, where he was so into God and his religion that he ended up killing over it, which is usually a big no-no in any congregation that believes in God. So, pretty good storyline.
I did notice, however, that the ep was split in half between the case and Christina's "case." Out of curiosity, did you guys think this was a little distracting? (I dont care either way, im just curious)

Hmmm...I didn't really care for this episode. The style was different, especially with the flashbacks. The acting in them seemed more like I was watching a play. It seemed out of place. I'm sure that was the intent but it struck me as off. I felt absolutely no connection to the victim. I can't remember the last time that happened. As a result, I had no interest in who the killer was. Usually we get a bit of background on the victim. Nothing really on this guy. Now there was a lot of ground to cover in this episode, especially the present day scenes with Scotty and Chris and the NYPD detective so I guess something had to give.
All the flashback characters seemed so one dimensional, especially the aunt and father of Roy, and the scenes with them seemed forced.
The present day scenes I really liked. I wondered how they were going to get Chris out of the show for now and I assumed she'd be taken back to NYC by the detective and was really surprised she ran. But I guess Lilly wasn't. She knew that would happen. Even though he kind of deserved it for being so closed minded about his relationship with Chris, I did end up feeling bad for him when he found out she took off. I also wonder if when he saw the note in the apartment, his hesitation was, in part, due to the fact that he wondered if it was a suicide note. That's the impression I got and I am glad that is not the route the writers took. I don't think we'll see Chris again this season. Next season perhaps.
It was cool though that Barry Bostwick was in this episode considering he was in the original film. His character was very nutty. I did think the end credit sequence used in this episode was good. Very different.
I really liked that Vera and Jeffries were together again as a team. They are so funny and like other's have said, the look on Jeffries face while attending the showing of Rocky Horror was too funny. He was way out of his element.

I am disappointed and upset by the portrayal of Mormons on the May 1 episode. The implications of the show was that Mormons are freaks and the serial killer was warped by his religious upbringing. Yes, the guy was warped, but not because he was Mormon. I was appalled at the show for showing the religious garments of the Mormons. To a Mormon, these are sacred and represent covenants made with God. They should not be shown in such a manner as to make fun of religious beliefs. I was saddened with the portrayal of a religion that did not deserve to be portrayed as it was.

Potential Spoiler for "Kensington" - - - - - The NYPD came to Lilly in "Kensington" about Christina. She protected her sister. Kinda. She didnt tell the NYPD anything they wanted to know, but she didnt seem surprised about the charges either. (credit card fraud). She asked Christina about it later, who said her boss was the real culprit.
Who knows now.

Being the HUGE rocky horror fan that I am, I was totally in love with this episode! I loved the humor, and the flashback scenes, and how they incorporated rocky horror music as well.
I felt bad for the boy who was schizophrenic, and i felt bad that no one could figure out what it was and that he thought it was god, but i thought the whole idea was really interesting.

Just got a chance to watch this one, so here are my thoughts.
I think this episode has to be broken down into two different elements: creative and technical. The episode was very creative. The wipes between the present and flashbacks and vice versa were way out there and wacky just like Rocky Horror. I found it so cool that they matched the tone, mood, style, credits, acting, writing, etc to the movie they were using as a background. The acting and writing in the flashback scenes was genious! It was so cheesy and one dimentional, which in this case, was brilliant. I've never seen the show reflect the subject matter so well. I was very impressed with the creativety of this episode.
The technical aspects of the show like the case and storyline were a little weak, especially compared to the creative aspects of the show. I knew all along that Roy was the killer because there was no way the show was putting another serial killer on the streets, but I thought they did a pretty good job of casting doubt and giving other possible suspects with motives. I thought it was odd that a District Atty's office would make a plea agreement with a serial killer that included the chance of parole. I know they make agreements, but I thought they usually gave the person life instead of the death penalty. Therefore, I had a hard time thinking that this guy would ever walk in real life. It was a weak element IMO.
I felt bad for Scotty, but I also felt some vindication for Lilly. She warned Scotty that Christina was trouble. Lilly knew that she would end up hurting him, but he didn't listen. Plus, I had been doubting her recently because we hadn't seen where Christina was all that bad. I don't think she should have slept with Lilly's fiance (if that''s what happened), but it was nine years ago. It seems that Chris might have a track record of not being a good person.
Overall, a good episode, but not as strong as others we've seen recently.

Coming late to this thread and haven't read the thread. The character Mike acted like Barry Bostwick's character Brad in Rocky Horror! At first I was annoyed and didn't make the connection but then I figured it out. Funny! I wanted to see Vera and Lilly do the time warp. That would have been funny to see Vera do it at least. Jeffries was just sitting there kinda trying to figure it all out. I was totally caught off by the ending credits. ;D Nice touch. Now if only Vera, Jeffires, Stillman, Valens and Rush had done a song and dance. This must have been their musical attempt like Xena and Buffy! I, too, am uncertain of what will happen to Christina. Will this be the end of her character? Lilly seemed to have no interest whatsoever. But then again, I think she's made it quite clear that Christina has to learn to take care of Christina. Lilly and Scotty seem to be back to working together although there is unfinished business. But I think it does reflect real life personal/work conflicts in that you continue to do your job. This was certainly different. I'm so glad I taped this one. Barry's character and George should get together. He was very creepy and it fit well with the theme. ~Naj

:smile61: Hey everyone! Just saw this episode last night, creepy!! i've never seen the rocky horror picture show, this wasn't one of my favourite episodes but it was ok. I was surprised by the ending credits, but thought it was cool they've never done that before. Can't say i'm sad bout Christina taking off, but i felt bad for Scotty...

Good morning everyone, Hello, this is the Byrdman coming at you today. I hope that everyone is doing great, and that you are all rocking and rolling into your Wednesdays, just as I am! Yes, I just wanted to note that according to my TIVO, this ep will be re-aired on New Year's Day on CBS. That is Sunday, January 1 at 7 pm (central time) on channel 380 (CBS on DirecTV). This is one of the eps that CBS did not reair the first time through, and I just wanted to let you all know in case you missed it the first time. Take care, and have a rocking day, everyone!
