you know... Jossie Sutton NOT sukcs! I like her... Bad Night was realy great! Vera and Sutton are cool. I love the end of this ep Poker game and BIG HUG -> Lilly and victims mom Someone go turn over a leaf! I told ya ruda! It would happen...We'd make you a Sutton fan afterall.  ~Vicky~ oh no. Well I've just finished watching and and WOW  . The best episode by a long way so far this season. The case was good without too many different issues going on, the perp was not obvious, and their was an added element of personal stuff in. To learn about what exactly happened to Jeffries wife was great and the bit with him arriving at the scene of the accident that killed her was so emotional. I loved that Lilly was the obvious dominant character in this episode and that Scotty faded a little more into the background. There was still a good share of the screen time for "Josie chippy" which was good as the scenes of her with Stillman and her playing poker at the end gave further insight into her character. One thing I do wish though is that she keeps her hands off her damn hips, it's so not femanine!!! There was a much better mix of partnerships in this episode with Lilly and Scotty back together [yeah] and "Josie chippy" and Vera working together for the first time. I get the feeling that when Vera has gotten over his "Josie chippy" issue they will get on so well and be an entertaining pairing. It was sooooooo good to see Lilly smiling [it's so beautiful she should do it more often!!]. When Angus' mother hugged her at the end it's what she has always deserved when she re-opens these cases and it was nice to see a family member be so grateful to her. Of course Lilly was looking radiant throughout the episode with great hair, clothes and make-up!! I agree with Soccerulz and just love that really dark blue shirt she's wearing near the end. Overall a fantastic episode, and IMO it all of a sudden feels like we've got Cold Case back again to how we love it [YEY!!!!]. I hope there are more episodes like this. |

Overall, I was kinda disappointed in this ep. Maybe because it was so hyped up, I don't know. I just thought the case was kind of weak. There were some scenes and aspects of the show I did like though... That Vera and "Josie chippy" seemed to make up or at least come to an understanding for the sake of poker!  The Stillman/"Josie chippy" scene. Loved everything about it. The time out sign, "Josie chippy" talking about her attitude, Stillman telling "Josie chippy" she will get to know everyone. (God I hope so!) The Jeffries backstory. And I thought the montage was really good. ~Vicky~ I feel kinda bad that you were disappointed in this episode Vicky  , as IMO it was a return to the Cold Case we all know and love. I personally hope their are more episodes like this. I didn't think "Josie chippy" had a bad percentage of screen time in this episode but I'm guessing you liked The Promise more because of the fact that she was in it quite alot and that we learnt some more about her?  Apart from thinking the case was very solid in this episode and being very pleased that we saw personal issues of Jeffries, I admit I'm probably swayed to liking this episode the best so far as it featured alot more of Lilly, like we have seen in the previous 2 seasons. ;D |

No need to feel bad. I still enjoyed the episode. It just wasn't my favorite of the three we've had so far. There were definitely aspects I enjoyed like the Jeffries backstory and the "Josie chippy" stuff. I always like getting into the personal lives of the characters. It's definitely something I wish Cold Case would do more of.

I have to say that this was the show Cold Case I remember. Please, Please don't keep swaying from that formula. The story was engaging and the balance of the cast is right where it should be for this show. I believe this is a writer we've not seen on the show thus far. They finally done good for a Jeffries storyline and Lilly is right where she should be involved for each case and the mix of the supporting cast was just right. I'd like to see that poker game, though. Best episode so far this season. ~Naj |

I just LOVED this ep!!! The best so far this season. Jeffries' back story was kinda sad and he clearly can't forgive himself. Awesome interrogation scene with Lilly kicking a$$!! :smile1: And that hug was all she needed in Family.
