It was one of the best episodes of season 1. The case was interesting, the victim very likable and Lilly dealt with case in a very understanding way. Scotty though was a bit annoying.

A great and powerful episode, though I think that Forever Blue and Best Friends did the theme better.
Oh Scotty. Glad that he became more open minded as the series progressed, because one Vera is enough. (I kid Vera, I love you)
Helen Holtz was very sweet, and I'm glad she got to find closure- both in meeting her son's boyfriend and finding out who killed him.
Daniel was one of those characters that I just think "If only you had been born forty years later". (Then again, it's because of people like Daniel who made the world a more accepting place). He was far ahead of his time. He was proud of who he was, and he wasn't going to let anyone put him down. He was so brave, especially in reporting his attack to the police.
This show really wasn't afraid to show the dark side of earlier decades.
