TNT had Gleen on the other night, and man I forgot how much I loved this episode! Second there, this actually was the first CC episode I've ever watched. I still think it was one the best episodes of Season 1

The ending made me cry, with that song" Straight from the heart", especially when the adult Gwen say her mother's spirit. Very emotional.

the final song was very good and in this case 3 people saw the victim: Lilly, Gwen and the lover. The only time more people saw the victim was in "A time to hate" : The lover, the witness, the mother and Lilly

I do like how they used the same Actress that played Gwen Deemer 1983, in the Season 6 episode November 22nd

Oh this was a good one, I loved it. The father was a creep. Total control freak. You could tell by how antsy he got when Gwen and his fiancee were talking out of his earshot. He was practically climbing out of the booth. And paranoid, too--"What are they saying?!" Hello? It's your daughter and your fiancee--do you really think they're talking trash about you? Knew the guy in jail didn't do it; he was too obvious. The more and more they found out about the father, I began to suspect he did it. Loved how the team looked frustrated at the prospect of digging through twenty years and 3 or 4 phone companies worth of phone records to trace that phone call. And then how they looked even more frustrated after all that digging led to a dead end! ;D

Agreed with the father. He and Charlotte from Churchgoing People would have made the perfect couple!

Thought it was an okay episode but glad they got the father.
Like Lilly with her hair up.

A great episode.
This was the first appearance of Louie, and he was suitably adorable.
This was my very first Cold Case episode. I remember being hooked by the opening with the explosion and "Owner of a Lonely Heart". It was good that they already seemed to hit their stride by the second episode.
The case was pretty solid. They really had more motive based crimes in Season One, didn't they? Not many of the "person pushes someone down the stairs in a fit of jealousy". It seemed in the first season, people actually planned their murders, and had some sort of motive. There was also a pretty creative murder weapon. Rob Deamer was awful, but he wasn't a cardboard cutout villain. Dana wasn't an angel either, which was a refreshing change.
